Wow, haha, I wish that I can help you, but I don't think there is a tweak to disable the volume buttons. You can always try searching the forum.
But my suggestion is - go get it fixed

Patience....it can take some time to get an answer, and you will win no friends by posting things like this. Also, there are MANY threads similar to this already.
I do not think it is possible to have the volume keys do one thing (track change) when the screen is off and another (volume) when the screen is on, but cannot say for sure.
That being said, something like what you are asking is possible. You can use a button mapping program like AE Buttons Plus (free, google it) to map a long press of your volume buttons to up/down arrows, and this will change tracks when screen is off. You can map single press of these buttons to volume up/down. Or you could do the reverse (single press change track, long press volume). Either way, the keys will always control volume in call.
I recommend messing around with various combinations until you get what you want. Also, try a search and see what others have done.
sry for that, wasnt meant to offend anyone!!! =/
and Thanks for that tip!
//EDIT
i just tried it now and it does work!
Hi
I am not entirely sure, but if you use S2U2 to lock your HD the volume keys will automaticely work as you wanted them to be as soon as you start your TF3D player and let the focus on it in TF3D. So in other words just start the player and lock the screen. Ready to go .
Hope you understand what I tried to explain. Best is, if you try it for yourself. Just search in the forum for the program S2U2.

No problem Just thought I'd let you know since you appear to be new. Good luck!
I have this function. I have slide to lock and AEBplue installed.
AEBplus I have set single click as arrow down and up and double click as volumn.
When it is on the music screen, one click of the volumn lets me scroll up or down when the screen is off...
Hiya ppl
I was wondering if anybody has made a program that makes it possible to disable the volume buttons as i often mis-touch em (And it feels like even a very slightly touch makes em react)...

Try AE Buttons Plus. You can unbind the volume buttons, and it's free.

It doesn't work for me. I have version 2.6.6 and i set the volume buttons to "Unbind only" but nothing happens, buttons still work. What am i missing?
copy the attached dll to your HD's windows directory, overwriting the original one - you have to use resco explorer or total commander to accomplish that. Then map a key in AE buttons for locking the device - voila, your done.
S2U2 will disable the vol rocker while the phone is on standby/locked, so they will only work when you're using the phone.....which would make it unlikely that you'd hit them accidentally
hope it helps
I looked for similar topic but didn't find it,I was wondering if anyone knows how to turn off that iritating sound when pressing volume buttons ?
I installed volume keys and the sound wasn't there anymore but after that I couldn't use scilorsleo camera anykey which makes it possible to take a photo with volume buttons
anyone has a solution?
I use AE Button to disable the volume buttons for a single press. But then also set AE button to alter the volume up/down when held for a long press. So if I do want to change volume I just do a long press on either button

Excuse me I am relatively new here. What do you refer to as the "AE" button? I keep my Touch in a holster and when I attempt to draw it out to answer I keep hitting the Vol rocker changing the volume settings - very annoying. From what you say this may help as it would be a single press, although probably a long press. I wouldn't mind disabling the vol rocker buttons as I just as easily use the volume settings to change vol anyway - but I hate altering (hacking) the normal operating system to do it.
i have similar things i have disable volume buttons.
how to fix it?
hi i want to assing the back button "<--" on the bottom with the OK button. i dont need the back functionality, what i want is to avoid trouble hitting OK on the top every time. someone suggested me AEbutton, that solved my problem assigning the volume button for up down navigation, but i want to assing back button to act as OK.
pl. help
Well, I've got good news. The Back button IS OK. Try it in a Settings dialog, pressing Back *will* save your changes.
You can assign actions to OK with AEBPlus.
This surprised the hell out of me - I only realized this after owning my HD for a month.
It also means that there is no PPC/HD equivalent to the Back button on smartphone devices. I had a Vox before, and was used to the Back button meaning "cancel".
JUst to add a little to that.
Is it possible in any way to disable the volume keys?
I cant stop pressing them by mistake

AE Button plus
then just remap them so they dont work as volume keys on a single press ( i use the long press to make them go up and down, but in rreality i use the slider to actually move change volume so i dont need to even map them to the volume at all)
Ehm.... what is the slider? I read about that also in TouchLockPro and I couldn't realize what it was.
I don't know what happened, but the up/down volume is not working as it was supposed to. Normally when you press one of the volume buttons, the volume level screens appears. Since yesterday, the up/down volume buttons are working as scroll up/down. I have already tryed to find in settings a way to configure it as before, but I couldn't. I just don't know to enter the volume level screen any more. Can somebody help me?
Thanks,
Daniel
I guess you tried soft-reset right ?

Yes, I did.
I had the same happen today, volume buttons would scroll and a "do your volume settings" popup would appear. But a soft reset fixed it for me.
Hardware defect then?

I have already soft reseted, but it didn't work. I don't want to hard reset it.
Nope definitely not hardware if the buttons respond. It's the software not doing what it should...

Did you by any chance install VoldDpad application (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=552947), because what you seem to face is a feature added by this app.

No, I didn't. The only application I have installed is a XT9 dictionary. Actually its installation has failed and does not appears in the "remove programs". Maybe it has mixed something. Is that a way to configure the buttons again?
Hai, just a simple question but I need it so bad.
When my phone rings and I get it out of my pocket I almost always pick it up to early by pressing the left (Awnser) button or rejecting it by pressing the right (ignore/hangup) button.
Is there any way to disable these buttons?
I know, the right button is usefull for stndby but I can miss it. (Phone sleeps in a couple of sec when lock is on)
Is there any way to disable these buttons?
Thanks guys!
(PS, the rest of the Leo I really love!)
Kind Regards, Diq

Yes there is, but I'm at work so I can't provide a cab. A search should find it for you though. I think InCallSettings might do it, but don't quote me on that.
Thanks, I've found it. (Didn't know the search criteria!)
Thanks Again!
