Hi, I've been recomended by a friend to use this kitchen instead, and I admint, it does seem alot simpler, or atleast a little more user friendy.
But the only guids I find are on EVK, can anyone point me in the right direction please?
thanks

Wouldn't there happen to have a nice tutorial on how to cook your own ROM?
I mean, the new cooks don't know what to do exactly...I'm thinking about making Vanilla 4.01 an even better ROM, with the new radio and etc...the problem is, I know NOTHING about cooking...
Anyone could gimme a Cooking for Dummies?
This could be a sticky thread if evryone contributes to create tutorials on cooking...
Thanks a lot everyone!
There is a sticky.... I don't know how usefull it is, but it has very much info and links to tutorials.
Here's the link

because u r trying to dump custom cooked rom.
Yea, if you want to extract a ROM for a base kitchen, use one of the official ones.
You get that error when you try to dump a custom ROM.
You need to use a Ship Rom as a base for your kitchen

Did you look in the stickies at the top of the forum? Best place to start: Especially the one called [REF] Leo Official ROMS
Please read before you post

And what about searching the thread without search engine: read the titles of the threads in this sub-forum for example...
I have the TMO HD2 (LEO) and I want to try my hand at cooking a ROM.

spend the next several hours/days/weeks carefully following THIS guide.
dont be upset if your first few/dozen/hundred roms dont work right away.
Use the stock 2.13 or 2.10 rom as your starting package.
I never expect to get it right, you learn by trial and error.
Thanks for the link, much appreciated.

Hello,
i wondered wether i need to be a computer genius to cook my own rom. On all the roms you get tons of apps, and I want to make one with as good as no extra apps (just some basic ones like youtube and opera). I downloaded the ervius kitchen, but what do i need to start? Do i have to download a sort of 'master rom' in which you can disable things you dont want?
Thanks in advance,
Kapie
Im watching the youtube tutorial by lion75y, and i need the stock rom. I bought my device second handed, and i am not able to download it from the HTC homepage. Is the blackstone stock rom available somewhere else? I've searched around on the forums, but i couldnt find it...

To be honest mate there is plenty of guides or kitchens to help you. Try typing in "kitchen" or "cooking" into the search and see what threads appear
Also, this may be a good place to start

now i've updated the windows build in my ervius kitchen, but where can i find the manila (2.5) files? ive been searching and i only found a thread with information about them, but not the actual files. I am looking for this one:
2.5.2018 Rodhium Manila 2.5
I found it on this thread:

O.K. i have looked for the answer to this question and the closest i can get is from a post in 2006 using Hypercore. So with that said i am sorry if i am overlooking the the answer somewhere. i love the WhiteStone_WM6.5_D4C2_21905_COM2_PV built by "pdaviet".The problem is that I would like to open this rom and add a couple of thing to it wrap it back up and put it back on my phone. How do i do this. i have been trying to figure this out for 6 hours now and i am about to lose my mind not to mention my eyes. any direction somebody can point me is appreciated.
Try this method, and ignore posts that say you can't dump protected roms. You may need to change settings, depending on the device.

This kitchen is device specific. Probably he will need to adjust it for his needs.

Depends on what device you use. Not an easy task if you have no idea how the cooking process work.

thanks for quick reply i would like to adjust it for hd2.
I got this kitchen customized only for TP2 devices. No time to adjust it for HD2.
BTW Anyway even if you would have such a kitchen for HD2, I don't think it will be any usage for you if you don't know how cooking works...

thanks again i only need this to add few apps in a custom rom.i dont know much about cooking but i am trying to learn with help ofnice people like you.
Just install them by using cab files. Much easier (and safer!).
Recooking roms is not something you are able to learn in a day or two.

i know it is not easy but can you please tell me how can i modify this to extract leo rom.thanks
You're gonna need to modify the ini files in the tools folder. I think you'll need to add the HD2 to the list in htcrt.ini and htcrt_devices.ini, and then get a Leo.htcrtproj file. The easiest thing would be to download a Leo-specific kitchen and get the files (or maybe the settings that you need.). I've never done it before, but it looks pretty easy. Just open the files with notepad, and you'll see what's missing.
thank for reply .i will give it a try,
