HTC startup .wav won't play - Imagio General

I'm using Advanced Configuration Manager to change the sounds it plays on startup. I've got HTC Animation Startup Wav File pointed to the attached .wav files (in main memory, not on SD card) but they don't play on startup - just silence. They play in Windows Media Player just fine. What am I doing wrong?

Phone does not ring properly anymore

Hi
I have an xda 2.
Ever since I installed/uninstalled winamp beta it, my phone will not play wav files anymore. I have tried adjusting the wav file assocation in pocket tweak however as windows media player does not play this, what does?
Is there a quick fix to restore this setting?
Has anyone else encountered this before?
Stevo
no i've used both versions of the winampaq and i never noticed any wav issues
will it not play wav at all ?
will it not start windows mediaplayer when you doubleclick on wav files ?
will windows mediaplayer not play wav any more ?
No it will not play wav at all. Btw I don't think windows media player plays wavs at all or am I wrong?
Lets forget what program messed up the settings. I just need to know how to restore the phone or system as the default wav player.
What application is normally responsible?
if it cant play wav files in sounds and notifications in systems
then i think there is more amiss then just a associating issue
because it should not depend on that
if you open up your power tweak (assuming you have it installed) can you tell me what application is associated with "wav" file type.

problem playing specific wav file

I have a voice over ip phone system at work.
We are using an answering phone system where missed calls are recorded and automatically sent as an wav file attachment to the mailbox.
Now we certainly sync all PIM data to the mobile devices. The wav file attachments of course too.
And here's the problem. I can't play the wav files on my pocket pc.
If I try it with my ipaq the small play controls are displayed but nothing happens with pushing the play button. It stops at once again.
If I try to play it with my qtek2020, the album player is opened but it automatically plays the next found playable file not the one I clicked.
If I delete all other playable files the album app opens nothing and displays the file open dialog.
The file is playable without any problems with the pc. Irfanview says its 8-bit, 8,000Hz, Mono, 51.2 seconds.
A friend of mine examined the wav file and said it's in CCITT A-Law format.
How can I play these wav files on my pocketpc?

Apache Ring Tones

How do I install ring tones on the Apache.
drop them in the windows/rings folder.
~mike
One thing is that if you have installed an mp3 player other than the default Windows Media, then you will not be able to use mp3s for your ringtones. You can always just re-sample the wav files.
I have installed TCPMP and can use mp3s as ringtones.....so I dunno what ur talkin bout.
Associate or Disassociate...that is the question..

I think the problem is that if you install 3rd party appl MP3 player and allow it to be associated with MP3's specifically, then Windows & phone rings will no longer automatically be associated with MP3's. This happened to me using PocketMusic, where on installation it offered to be associated with all these different formats. I thought 'Yeah Great' why not? Afterwards none of my MP3 Ringtones worked until I found this out.
So try disasociating all MP3's from your media player if you want Windows to recognise it for Ringtones. The downside is that in order to play your MP3's through your chosen MP3 player, you will have to 'File/open' (or something similiar) from within the player itself. Not a major problem, unless you like to select your MP3s through File Explorer, in which case you would have to associate your chosen file-type (MP3) from within the options menu of your 3rd party player.
Same goes for TCPMP and WMP10. If you associate .wmv or .wma in TCPMP and then usually select single tunes/vids through file explorer, then WMP10 will no longer be the default player as you associated that file type to another program!
Sorry bout the long post but It frustrated me to no end when I first got my WM device. Hope it helps.

anyone got a CAB for Windows Media Player Mobile for Windows Mobile 6.

I have AX3L rom but Windows Media Player wont even load (i've obviously broken something), so has anyone got Window Media Player separately so I can reload it? I have tried Audio Manager, but that doesn't even see my songs, let alone play them.
havent seen wmp as cab think it's soo intergrated into roms it's not an installed app
Audio Manager not seeing songs
Ok, if it have to use the HTC Audio Manager, would anyone know why it's not picking up my songs. The "My Music" folder is in My Documents on the storage card?

Sorry, put instructions for Media Player. Just realized you need HTC Instructions.

T3FD Music Player not reading files

I copied a whole bunch of music to the storage card and updated the library in Windows Media player but the music player in TouchFlo still shows no music. I am assuming its trying to look at the internal device music folder and not looking at the storage card. How do I update the settings and make it index the music on the storage card. Does it not use the same library as the Windows Media Player?
Thx.

Try to put some musics file to the device not SD card and check if TF3D play can see them
Thx for the suggestion ...yes it does see them
Hmmm - I don't think that's it.
TF3D player does seem to behave poorly at times. I suggest either a soft reset or a TF3D shut down and then restart.
I have my music in the SD card in a folder called Music and then each album in a folder.
TF3D finds this OK. But, of course, behaves badly at times - last night I showed the HD to a iphone user and the album pictures just did not show up (damn TF3D) and the iphone user just laughed.
Who knows how/when TF3D does its scan of music ??
My other music players (pocket tunes and pocket player) both have scanning options.
This 15 steps works..
1. Disable TF3D
2. Soft-reset (only if the step 3-5 failed, but it's better)
3. Open this registry key : HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\HTC\AudioManager_Eng\
Delete everything in it
4. Open this registry key :
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\HTC\Manila\Music
Delete everything in it
5. Open \Application Data\HTC\
Delete "AudioManager_Eng" folder
6. Enable TF3D
7. Go to the music tab
8. The "Searching..." will not complete, don't worry
9. Go to another tab
10. Go back to music tab, and make sure there's no more "Searching..."
11. Disable TF3D again
12. Soft-reset
13.Open this registry key : HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\HTC\AudioManager_Eng\
Delete the "information" key
14. Enable TF3D
15. That works for me...
PDA : HTC Raphael GSM
ROM : Official version 1.90
TF3D : GEN.Y Manila Revolution R1.5
Audio Manager : Haven't changed anything here
File Manager : Resco Explorer 2010 Beta
Registry Editor : Resco Explorer 2010 Beta + Registry Add-in
Thank you...
I hope your problem will be solved..
