I am using Duttys Leo HG V 8.0 WWE and am really enjoying it except the fact that when messages automatically download to my phone they don't appear as numbers in my account settings as they did on my old stock rom version.
the bit where you see the little mail envelopes which represent mail accounts.

When I configure my outlook account to sync with my server(Exchange 2007) it does not show up on the Mail Tab, I see only No Accounts there. When I add Hotmail, GMail and Other POP3/IMAP accounts they all show up, bu the Outlook does not.
If I set the Outlook account to sync with a PC instead of the server it works with no problems, but syncing with PC is not an option for me. I ahve to sync it directly with my Push enabled Exchange account in order to receive my mail instantly when mobile without a PC.
Anyone have this problem? Any clues or workarounds?
PS: It does seem to be a problem with Manila Interface,and not with the ROM I have. I have tried with several ROM's but no chance, but it is working in the old HTC Home without any problems.

I have the same problem with Manila 2D MODIFIED ROM DXIA2 (FRANLOV). I tried to modify the REG FILE without succes.

I've moved on to the Onyx WM6.5 21222 build. Mail works but i really prefer the manilla interface.
Any work arounds yet?
No Accounts Issue
I've got the same tab "No Accounts" issue
Sounds like a registry issue from here, it might take some comparing entries between roms.?
Interesting as I dig...
So the tab shows "18" or however many current "new" emails I have.
But when I press on the tab it comes back with "No Accounts".
When I run Autosync and the emails come in, if I hit "view" it goes straight to the Inbox and works great.
If I go to Programs - Messaging, it goes straight to the Inbox and works great.
I just can't get Outlook to get recognized in the tab.
I poked around in the registry but didn't figure out any apparent tweaks.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I've used dsixda Onyx's ROMS for a while and the latest 6.5's don't let me use a browser, and the 6.1's don't let me use this Manila 2d email tab.

Same here, outlook mails does get synced over-the-air, but not displayed on the Mails tab. Any help??

And again - think this will be more common now GMail have enabled push via exchange...
Any news to this? I can't reproduce why the outlook account is missing now but I know it was shown before. I don't want to hard reset because of this sh*t.
I've used BBC on My HTC TP2 for over a month and then WM Exchane sync with a gmail account also.
Although BBC provides a good option for push email, but it fails to provide
1. HTML mails
2. Links don't work within emails
3. In India with Vodafone in Delhi, HTC devices cannot have more than 3 email accounts.
4. You need to have multiple APN's at least 2, One for BBC, other for routine net surf.
5. With device like HTC TP2, HD2 etc without a D pad, next/ previous mail function annoying, close current email & then click next one to open
However I find WM Pushmail exchange better.
1. HTML mails
2. External links do work
3. PC type email interface
4. With devices w/o Dpad also, swipe across the screen changes to next email.
5. With a bit of work around you can have multiple emails on Exchange sync, with gmail, working as push mail
Create a new gmail account. In WM Activesync (disconnect from pc), in server settings create new exchange a/c with
Server address : m.google.com
u/name: [email protected]
password: your p/w
in Server setting choose only emails to sync.
You are done with creating exchange account to sync.
Now go to Schedule in Active sync
Set peak times as : As items arrive
Set Off-peak times as : As items arrive/ as per your choice
on bottom of this page Adjust peak times option is there, in which you may customize your peak hours.
Now on your PC login in your gmail account
Enter settings of gmail account
For the email accounts with pop/ smtp options available
go to Accounts and Import, here you can add accounts to
Check mail using POP3 ption, select the desirable setting
For the email accounts without pop/ smtp options
go settings of that email, set forwarding to your this gmail id
Next step is to differentiate emails form different accounts say 5 accounts.
In gmail creat 5 labels indicating import/ forwarded email accounts name such as dinesg gm, dinesh yahoo etc.
Next in Gmail filter options create filter/ rule for each imported account
as
Matches: to[email protected])
Do this: Skip Inbox, Apply label "XXXX GM", Never send it to SpamCheck
Creat rule for all 5 accounts
In Gmail activate Multiple Inbox
Set pane 0 to Search Query as the label created " XXXX GM"
and same for rest of email accounts with respective labels.
Now Gmail stores all incoming msgs from different account with different labels, treated as folders by WM Exchange servers.
On your WM PPC go to Inbox of email exchange account created.
Click Menu> Tools > Manage Folders
(Sync at least once before this step)
You'll see all created labels for various email accounts on your PC in gmail account as separate folders in Manage Folder option. Check all the folders you want to sync
And VOILA you have multiple emails synced as PUSH mails to your WM device with any special Blackberry Connect service, no PINS etc.
Additionally it works on Normal GPRS/ EDGE connection delivering HTML emails
Any people say Windows Mobile or Phone now-a-days are waste of money. No they are the most customizable piece of design available.

Hi, just a quick question
I have managed to get BB connect to work on a HTC TP2 running WM 6.1 using the tip from this forum to change the model ID to Raphael.
My question is if anyone has tryed this on a HTC TP2 running WM 6.5, will this work?

U have a special BB internet from your provider or just the regular for the tp2? does ping work?
Agh! This bugs me. I have aboslutely no new email in my account. I've checked all folders. Under the mail app's folder tree it says 2 unread in my pop account's inbox, and says 2 on the touchflo tab. It was one for a while, and now there's a second one there. This happened to me on Dutty's before, now I'm on Miri's WM 6.5 Sense 2.5 v15.
Is there some way to fix this and ideally keep it from happening?
It happened when I attempted to setup exchange sync for my google account. Friggin thing shows 2 unread messages on the home screen and it WON'T go away. I deleted all of my e-mail accounts and the active sync profile with no change. Soft reset, hard reset and still no love.
Any suggestions?
Also I love Dutty's HG rom, but there's now no voice dialing. It would seem as though there isn't a way to put it back on unless I go back to the original ROM that shipped. Is that correct? I can't seem to find a concensus on a decent replacement program.
Try going to email tab > Inbox > Inbox again on the top left
Check if there's any unread mail there.
OK so when i delete the email from the sence screen it always comes back is there a setting for this or do i have to go in to the inbox every time that i want to get rid of things

You would get faster and faster answers if you were to say which email service you are using, i.e. Exchange, Gmail, Hotmail, etc.

All of the above. Gmail and Yahoo especially (my most used accounts).
yes I use gmail but it hasnt really mattered what email i tried it does it on all of them
With Gmail, on the Email Setup/Advanced settings (not the Manila/Sense screens), on the selection "When deleting messages", select "Delete them off the server".
