Hey,
what registry editor are you using? I have tried to use the following editors:
Registry_Editor_v0.9.cab
regedit.Rpr_ARM.cab
No of the editors can be run on the HTC snap. (I have installed the .Net compact framework 3.5).
Thank you in advanced!
/Anders

Hello everybody!
Yesterday I found this thread (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=1059865&postcount=1 , Change all 3 splash screens (new tut and scripts included) )
Because of the steps to take I decided to create a small tool to make this a little bit easier. It's a wizard (for a wizard ) which enables you to change 1,2 or all 3 the splashscreens.
I haven't tested it yet on my wizard. This because I don't have the tools and cables here to connect my wizard. (yet)
Attached are some screenshots and the application itself. Just extract and run the 'SplashScreen.exe'.
Systemrequirements:
.NET 2.0 Framework
MSVC 8.0 runtimes ( http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...displaylang=enhttp://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...displaylang=en )

I don't have an Artemis so I can't tell you this for sure. The tutorial doesn't say anything about other devices either.

You need the .NET 2.0 framework. (sorry forgot to mention)
And further you need: (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=1059865&postcount=1)
In order for this to work you need the MSVC 8.0 runtimes:

Looks promising.
It has potential, keep up the good work

Posted this earlier in the Kaiser section.
Until now you could get NET CF3.5 as default only if you cooked it into a ROM. But I've found the registry setting that can disable the default net CF 2.0 and enable net CF 3.5 as default. There is a noticable increase in speed and it shows on the benchmarks as well. I used to get 1320 on mine now I'm getting 1499 with VBenchmark.
What you need to do:
1. Install NetCF3.5 on your ppc.
2. Open a registry editor, I use Reso Regsitry Editor
3. Goto HKLM\Software\Microsoft\.NETCompactFramework (this is usually the first entry
4. When you open this you'll see all the .NET installed version change the DWORD value of 2.0.7045.00 from 1 to 0
5. Chang ethe DWORD value of 3.5.7283.00 from 0 to 1.
6. Reboot
7.Viola! you have a faster PPC
Any questions please post up, hope this helps the few memebrs who stick to the OEM roms.
Update, found a cab that does this work for you at Modaco. Link is located http://www.modaco.com/content/Windo...ct-Framework-3-5-WITHOUT-upgrading-your-ROM-/
and the file thanks to Paul(MVP) from Modaco
is there a link to netcf3.5?? also will this work on a mogul/titan??

I just downloaded and there are several to choose from.
I tried ppc but it said not compatible with my device so I tried this one:
NETCFV3.5.wm.armv4i.cab. It loaded but unsure if that is correct one or not.
Could you please advise.
Thanks,
That should be the correct one. If it installs its right
Did a reset and all seems to be fine. Just curious - do you know the difference between the old version and the new?
Also, where would I notice the speed increase the most?
Thanks for the reg hack - It seems to be moving faster.
I'm running a custom WM 6.1 ROM with DCD's kitchen on my Sprint Mogul. Under HKLM\Software\Microsoft\.NETCompactFramework, only 3.5.7283.00 is listed and it's value is 0. I haven't had any .NET issues, but should I change the value to 1?
In VBenchamark I hard an overall speed increase.
Physically I noticed an increase in speed in scrolling and opening apps.
@Jim,
When you change the value to "1" all it does is tell the OS that this is the default ROM .NET, you can try chaning it to one Make sure its the only 1 though.

Yes, this is for wm5/wm6 ppc's.
If you have an wm2003 then you have to use the NETCFv35.ppc.armv4.cab.

The only strange think I noticed is that in 'Schap's Advanced Configuration Tool', it shows that I have the previous version of .NET (2.0......)
This method works really nice, thanks a lot aksd
Iam testing it on Blueangel device with my latest custom WM 6.1 19199.1.0.0 rom
Huge performance gain!!!
OK!
It works very well on my Cruise with NTCF 3,5 installed successively.

Definately faster on my Tilt..

can anyone help me?
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/...49-3c6b-42f1-9fd9-0041345b3385&DisplayLang=en
it doesnt work, i get a message that there is no application for it. first start the application. which application ??
The instructions are on the download page. Basically, establish an ActiveSync connection, and run the MSI (NETCFSetupv35.msi). The framework will then get installed on your device.

Hi guys,
I tried searching already but couldn't find it. what is the best registry editor which you are using?
Thanks
There's one in the sticky. And btw, you didn't find anything in your search?
Darn, I missed it in the "Software worth installing on the TP2 *Continuously Updated, links in thread* [Nov 3]" thread.
However, my question still applies. Which is the best one? Or which editor do you guys use?
Regards,
I use Dotfred's Advanced Task Manager (with included reg editor), or CERegEditor when I want to explore my Rhodium's registry from my desktop.
