[Q] How to change date format in Sense's HOME tab - HD2 General

I have a chinese language support cab installed and my Region is now set to "Chinese (people's republic of china)" instead of "English (U.S.).
Now, my date format for mmm is no longer "Feb" but "二月" (feb in chinese) for all date settings (including HOME tab).
Is there anyway to keep my Region as "chinese (people's republic of china)" but having my month as "FEB" and day as "Monday", "Tuesday" etc, rather than being translated into chinese?
sorry for my bad english

noone has the answer?

Keyboard Language / Locale Issue

Hi,
I recently purchased my new HTC Desire HD from MobiCity (an Australian company) and received it yesterday.
I note that the only Locales available on my phone are:
English (Bahrain)
English (Jordan)
English (Kuwait)
English (Lebanon)
English (Qatar)
I would like to know how to select English (Australia). I assume I have to load something but not sure how to do it. I have found the keyboard predictive text is not as accurate as my Hero and I assume it's because of the Language pack. The prices in the marketplace are also not set to AUD.
I have been able to download MoreLocale2 from the market to select Australia, but it seems weird I need to install an app just to use the correct language.
I would like to be able to select from English (Australia), English (United States) and English (United Kingdom).
Regards
Kev

Ask them why are they selling a Middle East Asia version of the phone. For example i bought a Central European version (because i live in Central Europe ), so i have English in following versions - Czech, Estonia, Hungary, Lithuania, Latvia, Poland, Romania, Slovakia. In short - you need a australian version of the phone to have English (Australia).

I suspected that may be the issue.
I have lodged a support ticket with MobiCity, but I suspect they will not be that helpful. I was hoping there would be a ROM on HTC Australia site that I could use to flash the phone, but alas, no luck there either.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=824357 ?
Do I need all the files or one in particular ?
Are these Stock HTC ROM's ? My phone is 2 days old, I don't want to brick it.
Well, you should ask in that thread, or the uploader . But that is probably what you want.

[Q] Amazon MP3 Question on NAM Version

I assume I can't really do anything about it, but I just got my Desire Z today and was just checking out all the apps, etc. when I came across an issue with the Amazon MP3 app (yes I occasionally use it).
Essentially it was an error saying I have an unsupported locale and I should change the language under my "Language & Keyboard" settings to English (United States), English (United Kingdom), Deutsch (Deutschland), or Francais (France).
Problem is, the only language I have is English (Canada) as I have the NAM/Bell version of the phone.
Probably a bit n00bish, but without any rooting or such, can I get an English (United States) language pack? I assume so, but then again, I'm not.
Thanks!

Anybody? Bueller? Bueller? Bueller?
I gather I'd have to root and put a ROM on the phone that uses English (United States) as it's language, yes?

Change language separately from region

When changing the language & region in the shipped EMUI settings you can only choose a region where the chosen language is spoken. If I chose English as a language I can only pick regions like USA, Canada, South Africa, etc.
I want my system to be in English but the region to be the Netherlands, because I do want the Dutch date notation , thousand punctuation, etc. With the last 10 phones I owned this was never a problem.
I guess this was a feature to make the process easier; you only see regions that speak the language so that you don't have to search through hundreds of languages. But 26% of the people living in Amsterdam come from abroad who might want to use English as the phone's language but still use Dutch notation for things.
Is there any other way of changing this without root access?
I'd like that too.
Settings - advanced settings - language and input - language and region - language
On international Rom, I can choose any region and any language.
No.idea about Chinese based Rom

I have international version but i can't set Region to Turkey when language is set to English.
Set it to Europe
I made to change the Language and Region from Chinese
(Settings>Advanced settings>Language & input>Language & region: Language "English (UK)" - Region "Belgium"),
BUT the HiApp shows only results in Chinese.
If I want to download Wechat, for example, I type "Wechat" under "search" having only results in Chinese.
Is that normal?
Can someone help, please?

Missing region...

Hello...I'm from Morocco, i can't find my country on the list of regions in "system language and region" advanced settings.... why?

Sorry for the inconvenience...I chose English language that's why i didnt find my country...I should've chosen French or Arabic languages so my region can appear there...

Multilanguage for SM-G935T(U)

I have got Samsung Galaxy S7 US model (Qualcomm), Android Nougat 7.0 unbranded (SM-G935U), and would like to set Slovak language in that phone. There is an option in Menu > Setting > General management > Language , but by selecting Slovak language it doesn't translate all menus, options, etc.. (just some of them). So now I have a mix of translated and non-translated (English) items. There is a text saying 'May not be available in some apps' next to Slovak language option. I think that flashing image for SM-G935F (international) would help, but obviously I can't do it as this image is intended for Exynos processors in Europe. Can anybody help me how to install full Slovak language. Currently my phone is not rooted, but I can root it if need be to install/flash full set of Slovak language. I think that problem can have other people with US T-mobile model but want to have some central european language (Polish, Hungarian, Czech, etc...).
