Hi,
I recently purchased my new HTC Desire HD from MobiCity (an Australian company) and received it yesterday.
I note that the only Locales available on my phone are:
English (Bahrain)
English (Jordan)
English (Kuwait)
English (Lebanon)
English (Qatar)
I would like to know how to select English (Australia). I assume I have to load something but not sure how to do it. I have found the keyboard predictive text is not as accurate as my Hero and I assume it's because of the Language pack. The prices in the marketplace are also not set to AUD.
I have been able to download MoreLocale2 from the market to select Australia, but it seems weird I need to install an app just to use the correct language.
I would like to be able to select from English (Australia), English (United States) and English (United Kingdom).
Regards
Kev

Ask them why are they selling a Middle East Asia version of the phone. For example i bought a Central European version (because i live in Central Europe ), so i have English in following versions - Czech, Estonia, Hungary, Lithuania, Latvia, Poland, Romania, Slovakia. In short - you need a australian version of the phone to have English (Australia).

I suspected that may be the issue.
I have lodged a support ticket with MobiCity, but I suspect they will not be that helpful. I was hoping there would be a ROM on HTC Australia site that I could use to flash the phone, but alas, no luck there either.

Do I need all the files or one in particular ?
Are these Stock HTC ROM's ? My phone is 2 days old, I don't want to brick it.
Well, you should ask in that thread, or the uploader . But that is probably what you want.
I'm new here. I've bought iconia a500 in germany and am not able to switch info english (it isn't in language menu). Acer don't want help me. How I can to do this? Install new rom? It's possible to install only locale files? Thanks for help AZ
you need to install More Locale 2 from the market and add custom locale with:
Label: English
Language: en
Country: DE
and i do not remember now but switch it off and on again would be good.
i did it and have all in english.
It's so odd because the tablet I bought in the US has both UI language and keyboard settings for English, Deutsch, Spanish, French Russian, even CJK
Sorry to bother, but I did a search and I didn't see anything on the subject, but I converted my WM6.5 to a nand droid and in the locale settings, english (united states) is not an option. How do I obtain that option on the device? Should I use a different version of android?
Sorry, I'm new at this....
Thanks
That's pretty strange. What rom you are using?
Hello guys ,
As you know LS993 comes with little language pack.
Is there anyway to add another language to phone settings ?
Already tried morelocale 2 but not working.
Thank you.
I've had this problem too: It's missing English (United Kingdom) and a whole lot of other languages.
