Hi, I just got my Touch HD today.
I wanted to upgrade the ROM to the latest official ROM from HTC website, so i went to the HTC website to try and download the ROM, it ask's for the serial number of the phone, which i then entered, and it say's, "This software is not supported for this device". I tried different locations, e.g. Middle East, Africa, Europe, USA, ASIA, and still didnt work.
So i would like to know if anyone knows which versions of the Official HTC ROM is compatible and where can i get it? Or what other options do i have to update the ROM.

It's probably not a good idea to put all that info for the public (google) to see
so I suggest you edit you post and remove it....

But in a nut shell your problem is probably because you didn't buy your HD from htc
Mine's from orange and I have the same problem

Ok i managed to figure it out
used HSPL 156 and flashed to Official HTC ROM 1.57 WWE
seems to be working fine.

Do you see any benefit compared to your previous ROM? Any change in radio performance?
Does anyone have the 1.43 Vodafone Rom that came with their HD2 from Vodafone UK?? If so can you put up a link to it. I've done a search of the Leo sub forum but can't find any one who has done Vodafone (plenty of O2 and T-Mobiles though)

i have it on my device as i havnt upgraded it yet, but i dont have a clue how i can upload it to so you can get it?????
i am also interested in this. or a way how i can "backup" the existing one from my hd2.
Yea, my problem is i've used the Gold Card method to upgrade my Rom, but would like to know that I can flash her back to the Vodafone Rom in case i have to send it back.

could anyone give us a downloadable(extracted!) GERMAN VODAFONE 1.43 ROM that is on all HD2`s delivered until now in 2009 ?
I want to Goldcard-flash this ROM but with the option to set it back to initial Vodafone Standard as delivered...
At the moment it is absolutely unsure when Vodafone Germany will offer newer
ROM versions...1.48...1.61...2.1...if at all !
(on former HTC phones Vodafone didn´t offer any newer ROMs for more than a year after release...)

I currently have my HD2 with Vodafone.
I recently updated the ROM to the one on the HTC website to only now find out that if you don't use the ROM from the Vodafone site, this invalidates your warrenty.
When Vodafone release their new ROM, if I update to this does my phone then continue to be covered under their warrenty?

Yep, Vodafone won't know that you have flashed your ROM once you switch back.
I am in a search for the Vodafone 1.43 NLD ROM (dutch). Can anyone post this please or a link to it?

Thank you guys - I damaged my screen but Vodafone are sending a replacement by courier tomorrow so need to get it back to the original rom just to save there being any problems...
On a side note - considering all the problems I had getting the phone from Vodafone in the first place the on-line team were really helpful today when I eventually got through....

Just visited the htc website and they have available a rom upgrade for the telstra hd2 ... just wondering if anyone has downloaded and installed this upgrade? Is it better?

I have installed it. No problems and it works.
Unfortunately it contains all the Telstra bloatware.
Haven't played around with it too much but first impressions are that it seems much smoother than when I first used the original rom.
I've downloaded the upgrade from HTC Australia twice now and each time I run it I'm told that the package couldn't be verified and may be corrupted. I've tried the Asia and Europe sites? Anyone else have that problem?
Does anyone know where I can get the 3 UK 2.1Android Rom (other than an officicalOTA Update. So many Roms on the forums but I can't find this one. I really want it.

The updates are done through OTA. The only released Official Genuine 2.1 RUU ROMS is for WWE version not 3(Three), Orange, T-Mobile e.t.c.
What you need to do is try find a 3(Three) RUU 1.5/1.6.

You have also been told what to do over at androidforums.com. Get someone on the 3(Three) network to download the official HTC 3(Three) RUU ROM from HTC UK Support Page.

Does anyone know what version of radio the official Three UK 2.1 update uses?
I've been holding off on upgrading to the radio from the WWE RUU since orange users reported problems with theirs.
