Lost application for Tilt2 - Touch Pro2, Tilt 2 Themes and Apps

I had to replace my tilt2 under warrantee. I had to reinstall many applications once my new phone arrived. The problem is I have one application that I dearly loved and I cannot find it anywhere. It was an application that block my phone from accessing the Internet using anything but my WiFi connection. In other words it would not allow any application go out to the Internet using cellular data.
Does anyone out there know what this application was called or where I can find another copy of it. I have a vague recollection that it was on someone's cool applications webpage but it's been too long for me to remember.
Any help would be greatly appreciated

are you talking about modaco no data?

Oz Cab

Does anyone have the oz cab that is compatible with WM6? I deleted mine off, but have decided that IM+ and mundu take up too much resources for the little I use them. I have unlimited text messaging with my family plan, so I would like to go ahead and reload oz, but don't want to have to do a hard reset in order to do so.
Any help would be much appreciated. I searched, but couldn't find it.
Thanks.

Thank you. Unfortunately, now I can't get the darn thing to work. It keeps saying communication error and to check my settings.

I had the same problem, what you need to do is uninstall it, and install it to your device. If you had it installed to your storage it will continue to give the error. If you install to device it will work just fine. Hope that helps!
If you want it to work you're goin to have to hard reset and let the T-Mo customizations run. Remember Oz IM runs off you're SMS and not a dedicated internet app, so there will be some settings that would have to be tweaked in order to sync it. I don't know if anyone has made it work or even tried to yet, but there are other options out there. There's IM+ and Agile but you'll have to purchase them after trial period, and there's also imov and palringo which are both free, but have their share of problems. All run on internet so it's much better than sms based.
I personally use a combo of palringo and imov. Palringo is better looking and more feature rich than imov but disconnects frequently even when there's service. Also, as of right now, there's a problem with switching between different chats. It doesn't save your conversion once you exit out and there's no workaround at the moment. Imov basically has no features, is very basic in looks, and has ads that take up about one-third of your screen, but it is much more stable. You can leave it running overnight.
Hope this helps
You don't have to do a hard reset and let the Tmo extras run, I am running my wing debranded with the cab re-installed to my device, and it works for me with no problems. Although you can use the other programs papito mentions if you have a data plan. If you just have a text msg plan use the oz cab.
how do i choose to install on the device? it doesnt give me an option. i use 8525 btw
or are you guys talking about miucro sd card cuz i dont have one

thx alot ive been lookin everywhere for this.
Whats Is OZ Pocket PC? Just got my wing and I'm looking to trick it out.
Thanks
Okay, I think I have this OZ communicator figured out somewhat. It seems that there is a registry key that makes a connection to a site that (I would assume) handles the IM/SMS exchange for the OZ IM Client (HKCU\Software\OZ Communications\Configuration\1\Network) which points at http://aol.cwmim.com:1171 I would think that it is the conversion here that creates the text message charge. I would think that t-mobile would have a similar site to put in here that handles conversion for their network. Anyone have a t-mobile phone with OZ, and can pass that out to us?

I have a t-mobile wing with a custom rom on it. I wanted to install Oz because i wanted to have the instant messengers. I do have unlimited text and the basic data plan. When I installed the program, it gave me a communication error and to check the settings but it also sent me a text message...which I didnt understand. How can I get the program to work? I have it installed on the device memory already.

[REQ APP] is there an APP that can tell you which program is accessing the radio?

i have a rhodium. I cannot seem to switch off data, even in comm manager. as soon as i switch it off, it goes on again! Something is using the radio, and I have been through every program I can find to stop it connecting automatically. But still no luck!
I need it off so that I can get blackberry software to run on my device (it gets blocked if anything else uses the radio), so it isnt a question of using an app like NODATA.
So I want to know if there is an app which can show me which program is using the radio.
Help anyone???
If your using Manila try shutting off push internet...
From the internet tab hit menu/data settings turn off push email.
Also check email retrieval settings...I set mine to every 2 hours...
I don't know of any App that will do this but it would be a nice one to have.
Im having the same problem on a Samsung i900 :S
If its actually transferring data then you might be able to find out using SPB Wireless Monitor. However, this wont help if all it is doing is opening the connection. Cant be any harm to trying the free trial though.

Any anti-stealing apps?

I'm wondering if there's any apps for HD2 that works like "mobile defense" for android that can track the cellphone via a computer and activate the stolen device's GPS to track it.
F-Secure Anti-Theft for Mobile
Here's a very recent freebie from F-Secure
(Anti-Theft for Mobile)

Remote Tracker - Antitheft Software
Here's another one;
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=394203
Can any of this be activated or monitored by remote PC??? Cuz i actually have a block message service for my cell phone account.
Im using Lookout for mobile
https://www.mylookout.com/
"remotetracker" (no space is intentional)
this is the only anti theft that i managed to install. the other are all too compilcated.
will notify on sim change. sms command are case sensitive. locate command will always tell location unavailable even when google map locked on gps.

F-Secure sms to finland?
I've had F-secure anti-theft in my phone for a while now. The txt location service works great, and last month I tried changing the sim, and guess what, got a sms on my backup phone with the new sim's phone number, which is exactly what it is supposed to do.
However, i checked my itemized bill today, and see the program sent an sms to Finland immediately after texting me. The number was 358400112368 . Googled this number and only got two vague references to f-secure on a nokia. Why in the world would they need to txt their mothership about my sim? Anyone else using f-secure anti-theft? Please check your bill and let us know if it sent a txt to finland.
As far as using other similar programs:
Mylookout : never worked for me, website says searching, and times out.
remotetracker : Stay away from this program!! its txt request uses no password, so anyone who knows you have the program installed can secretly monitor you via sms. An intentional oversight from the developer perhaps? And pretty malicious at that too! Edit: got it, see post below.
ms myphone : free version can only check the daily sync log. I cannot initiate a location search unless i pay, or am I doing it wrong?
so, anyone with f-secure got the txt to 358400112368? I guess this post will be the only 3rd google search result for this number?

my bad. thanks Samsamuel for the correction. i re-read the first whole page of that remoteTracker thread and the word "password" was never mentioned in his post or instructions.
as far as my original question regarding F-secure, anybody else see the outgoing text to finland when they change SIMs?
no worries.
i for one can't rate remotetracker highly enough. i cook my own rom, so its cooked in complete with settings, so its completely hard reset safe. only way to stop it working is by flashing.
that random text you mention sounds a little iffy, you tried emailing them? see what they have to say?
another vote for remotetracker.
It found my phone when left in a taxi
the F-Secure thing looks nice, i think im gonna try it this evening
lets see if it really sends a sms to finnland xD
I came across this thread, and just downloaded (didn't install yet) the f-secure app.
A couple things I don't understand.
I believe I have read posts here about needing a "backup mobile number", for the company to send SMS to, if something suspicious is happening with the phone.
But what if one only has one mobile number, no backup? Is the app then useless? (Couldn't there be an e-mail, or a call to the landline?)
Also, I see that besides giving this app away, F-Secure sells "mobile secuirty". (I guess that means anti-virus and such. Is that really necessary? I have never used an AV on my phone before, and never had a problem with that AFAIK.)
With the post about the SMS to Finland (probably company headquarters), it occurs to me, they may give away this anti-theft app, in order to get your phone #, and send you text messages advertising their AV app? I wouldn't want to get spammed with text messages. Has that happened to anyone using this?
remotetracker can send email
i've changed sim few time. fsecure only send sms to the assigned number (i know, i've itemized billing, and i can send sms internationally).
anyway, since it can never reply with correct location, and i've already figured out how to use remotetracker, i'm ditching it too. plus, fsecure will always pop up with it stupid checking for update while i'm using my phone. can't it check quietly?

see my previous post. it always say location not available.
I just tried lookout. I like it more than remotetracker because it's easier to use (the online "dashboard" makes it easy). The thing I hated the most about remotetracker (and other apps dealing with coded SMS) is that I would have to use an authorized phone and the proper codes to do whatever I need to do. At least with lookout, I can just go online and kill all my data and locate my phone.
I tested the "locate" feature. It found my phone in 2 minutes, but it was a little over one mile away from my phone!
The "scream" feature: It's a loud firetruck-type siren...it was a little bad because San Bruno, CA (one city away from me) had a horrible fireball accident a couple of days ago.
I guess it does its job. The locate feature is decent, but to think that it was off by 1-mile, it could make a difference in a big city.

How do I locate my lost HD2?

Hi I lost my hd2 and I need to find it using gps.
Can anyone please help me?
You would have needed to have prepared for this eventuality. Since you don't know what to do it's quite clear you didn't. Think hard about where you last saw it... It's about your best bet...
Do you use Microsoft My Phone?
If Yes:
Logon to Microsoft My Phone from any computer.
When logged on you will find a link "Finding back a lost phone", click it.
Start using premium services (free).
continue (self explanatory)
Sadly this is not alwas possible, so keeping my fingers crossed for you.
No i actually dont use it but if i find my phone ill set it up immediately. is the any other way?
Glad you found your phone
If you are setting up tracking software, I recomend using Remote tracker This has a lot more possibilities, and is free.......
For eaxmple, if you are abducted, you can send trace so other people can trace the phone. You can block the phone from use, send commands per (hidden) SMS, possibility to password protect.

[Q] HTC HD2 HTCMESSAGE.EXE GPRS question

Hi,
Newish to this forum but need big assistance!
I have several HTC HD2 which have a problem flashing up the message "There is a problem connecting to the GPRS service in your registered home network" when using any internet based application. We have several applications using the net on the phone so when there is no signal etc this message pops up quite often.
I know it is being caused by "HTCMESSAGE.EXE" from the process viewer in the task manager and am trying to disable it in the registry but can not find the entry.
I don't mind the connection dropping etc but the message could pop up over other applications making it unusable so it's crucial to disable it.
Any ideas anyone?
Many thanks in advance.
replace HTCMESSAGE.exe with a dummy exe like the one inlcuded and it will stop bugging you.
Note that this probably disables more than this single warning
see you
