Hi everybody,
I just flash a new xannytech 1.9 evolution ROM (great!) but when I try to use a Youtube player (wifi or 3G connections) NO SOUND cames from HD. (video OK)
the version installed is 2.6 (1922.2811 build).
Sometimes (very often) a error message appear "this video cannot played".
Pls note that if I tried to play any sound with any other application it works wery well.
thanks for any help
I also have the exact same problem but i'm not to fussed over it as I can access youtube via Opera/IE browser.
If anyone is willing to try, you can install the youtube CAB file via this link (see post #104) to serve as a temporary fix. It was recently installed on Xanny's latest 1.9 ROM and it was suggested by another member that it functions fine. It will not overwrite the current cooked in youtube app but it will be installed as a seperate youtube app. Simply delete the shortcut for the tempremental youtube app in Xanny's ROM if you wish using TotalCommander.
Let us know if this works ok.

Hi, I too have the same question.
I am yet to succeed in going to a web page containing some sort of flash animation and actually see it.
All I'm seeing is a message to say I need a flash player installed. I've installed the current downloadable full version from Adobe and a variety of cabs for Flash Lite, but non of them seem to work with Opera on the HD.
Any help would be much appreciated chaps.
cheers, Jimmy
I have it working, i updated my opera to 9.5 build 2745 (by simply copying new two files to windows folder, and then installed flashlite 3.1. All of these files are available somewhere in this forum.
anyone know where to get these files?

Jimmy, what happens when you try to load the YouTube app?
Petrov.
Most modern websites that feature Flash content are made for Flash 8 or Flash 9, which is the desktop variant. Flash Lite is a simple package of the same software and thus Flash 9 sites will NOT run natively on your mobile phone, so your only option for that is Skyfire. This will not change anytime soon.
YouTube is optimized for Flash Lite and thus you can see the lovely FLV players on your mobile phone after installing 3.0 or higher.
3.0 copies some of the features of desktop Flash 7/8, including FLV playback, but this does NOT mean you can view entire Flash 7/8 sites, let alone Flash 9.

Sorry for being dense. Will certain flash sites, such as youtube, work through Opera on the HD once the FlashLite 3.1 is installed?
If so, any chance you could point me to where one can download FlashLite 3.1 (I've looked but I must be missing something)?
Many thanks,
Petrov.

Hi Petrov,
youtube works fine from what i can tell,as in it plays videos.
One example of a website where flash doesnt work is the htc.con page where the ring tones are.The place next to the download button has the words "Install Flash".
Looking at the other posts on this thread i'm not sure if it should work at all, Jimmy
hello everyone,

Well guys, anyone????
There is a flash bundle for tcpmp which plays .flv files nicely.
I can't remember where I downloaded it but its called FlashVideoBundle.cab (probably downloaded from here, try a search).

hi, im new here and i dont know if this is the right place. i found a lot of posts here in the forum but no one works for me, i want to watch youtube videos in my htc p4351 but i cant. i try to install some files like htc streaming media player, but i dont know how, i just got files like streamingplayer.xml and it says i got to instal some files .cab. i need help!
Well, there are a couple of ways to watch YouTube™ on your device.
The first is the Google YouTube™ app: Click Here.
(Download and then place on your storage card; go into file explorer and run the .cab file).
The second is an XDA made app: Click Here.
Third is by installing this flash bundle: Click Here.
And heading to the Pocket Internet Explorer and running youtube.com (desktop site).
Hopefully, at least one of these ways works for you.
Best Regards,
Trib.
.cab files
i installed all these 3 apps, but no one worked =( youtube play says failed to play, google youtube app doesnt work too and flash bundle doesnt work too
streaming player
is there a streaming player for htc p4351?
I was concerned when you said that none had worked for you.. So I tried them on my phone and they all worked.
I am wondering why they would for me and not for you, so here are a few questions:
1.) What ROM do you have flashed on your device?
2.) Do you have .NetCF 3.5 installed on your device?
3.) What do you have installed on your device?
Also, there is a streaming player that is QVGA (for our Wings/Herald), but I don't think any of them really work.
Here is one that I have used, but I don't think will work: Click Here.
my device is htc p4351, im using windows mobile 6.0 , my internet navegator is opera.oh and im using windows media player
Try installing these:
.NetCF3_5
DRM Middleware
FullScreenPlayer
Dshow 2.0.19182129
Media Tool kit
hey tnx, i will install but i dont know what happened with my cellphone internet. i cant enter. but anyway thanks again i tell later if worked. oh and sorry for bad english
You're welcome.
Maybe, if this doesn't work, you could try flashing one of my custom ROMs and you'll be all set with YouTube..
