Obtaining bluetooth connection info (Windows Mobile 2003)

Hello everybody, I´m trying to connect my XDA II device to a portable
printer with bluetooth by code (C# or VB .NET).
The problem I have is that I can´t get the data I need to connect with
the printer with the bluetooth software that comes with the XDA (the
port that has to be used on the printer to get connected, etc...).
Does anyone know some way or software (open source), that could help
me to get that information ???
Thanks in advance and sorry for my english.
look at opennetcf.org
fumaillo,
have a look at http://www.opennetcf.org here you'll find a framework and samples that you can use to manipulate bluetooth in the way you need. In the namespace IO.serial there are the functions for port access and in the forum you can discuss your issue with othe BTers.
Kind regards,
Udo

Interesting page to use Toshiba BT on XDA Mini

http://www.it-cq.com/viewthread.php?tid=20971&sid=oy3TOqSH
Should have just included this anyway
BT Stack for XDA II mini
Can run on Xda II Mini without change your MSBT
1. disable your MS BT (Don't need to remove it)
2. Download driver from Toshiba (Toshiba BT Stack)
http://aps.toshiba-tro.de/bluetooth/pages/disclaimer.php?dt=bts&download=4us
3. Connect your mini with active sync.
4. Install the driver.
5. Soft Reset your device.
Optional
6. Remove your MS BT
by deleting this registry key
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Services\BTIcon]
then reboot.
If you don't wish to remove the key, you can disable it by editing this parameter value under the registry key
change
"Dll"="BTIcon_Dll.dll" to
"Dll"="BTIcon_Dll.dll.disabled"
then reboot. When WM2003SE tries to load the Dll driver, it can't find it and therefore the MS BT system tray icon will not be activated.
does it work on the MDAIII ?
What about Voice Dialing via bluetooth headset?

Click to collapse
u can use the resco registry tool that comes with resco explorer.
alternatively, use PHM registry tool
still no luck locating the string.. when i go to /services folder in the reg i get a bunch of folders none of them has the mentioned string or the bticon.dll... is the dir structure on pda2k different?
anyone with mda III or pda2k actually done this???
thanks

Virtcom - virtual com port mapper

Hi,
Does any of you know how the program called virtcom that can be found on the german forum http://www.navifriends.com works?
I want to be able to map my bluetooth com port to a com port in the range that I can select from Tomtom.
Regards
Lorents
other and easier solution exist to get tomtom recognize your Bluetooth GPS.
you have to make a small registry change to enable the GPS in control panel. just search this forum, plenty of post on this subject (K-Jam Wizard + TomTom GPS)
bw, use the latest TomTom Navigator 5.2.1 that can be found in one of the topics (cracked version). With the latest 5.2.1 it 's much easier to get things working...

WM 5.0 registry key

Hello everyone.
I have a Hitune T68 WM 5.0 device, which has a WiFi chip, but has been disabled.
As far as i researched, there is a registry key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Services\WLan
Which is used to initiate and control the WiFi function.
Can anybody export this key from his WM 5.0 mobile device and post it here please?
10x in advance
P.S- the WiFi chip in my device is a SyChip Cheetah WLAN.
