hi everyone her....
i just bought my new xda, and after I take a look it the rom version is 3.02.00 ENG (05/27/02) and the radio version is 4.01 and I read in the web that my xda is for european market....
since i live in Indonesia (Asia) I want to ask everybody here, is it possible to upgrade to version 3.17 (for asian xda) ?
I ask the authorized reseller in here if it possible to upgrade but they don't guarantee and afraid it will not work...

How ironic. I have a spanish ROM and have been looking for a S/N for the english ROM. You can go on the HTC website and download an official spanish version with the following s/n : HT811G300152. Now it would be great if you could give me the english version. You can find it when you remove the battery.

The only worry you might have is if your phone is locked and then you would have to crack it. If the phone is unlocked, once you download the original HTC file, you simply have to have your phone charged and connected with activesync, launch the RUU file and bingo.

I have done HardSPL beacuse my Sedna was locked by Orange UK, but I have unlocked it using this site: http://www.4winmobile.com/forums/ph...05-2_radio_sedna_1-65-27-1-6_signed_ship.html
There is also a downloable English ROM at that site.
After unlocking I have installed Spanish ROM downloaded at official HTC site using Milestheviking´s S/N (thanks again, I have sent you a private msg with my S/N).
Now I have the last ROM for this Phone working perfectly!!!

Hi, is your phone from CSL/1010 or from Broadway or other retail stores? I was wondering what ROM those come in.
The CSL 1.48 ROM is VERY FAST even compared to cooked ROM. Super stable as well.

yes, it's CSL 1.48 i'm pretty happy but have SMS problems and kinda want to flash roms but i want to have the official as insurance
asia wwe rom 1.48.707.2 has Chinese input. at least I'm using it now (in Singapore), although it's simplified chinese, not traditional chinese

The 1.48.831.0 rom is a stock rom with my HD2, However I have flashed it to 1.48.831.1, now I really want to flash it back to 1.48.831.0..just can not find it anywhere in internet.

I don't think it's newer, just because the 831.0 is an English UI with Chinese support and input, the 832.1 is a Traditional Chinese UI with Chinese support & input.The digital compass somehow dosen't work so well in my current rom(832.1）.
The ram is almost the same.

Yes, I just flashed it back to original, double click it , follow the step, wait a while, it's done.

The CSL bloatware just comes up if you pop in a CSL sim card during initial set-up, no? I'm assuming this is the stock ROM, so it'd have the CSL stuff in it?
I bought my HD2 from Broadway, and when I was in HK I had a CSL simcard, so the set-up options came up on first boot.
Assuming the result you want is a stable system in English with chinese input support, possibly the best solution would be to install the 1.66 Asian WWE to your Leo. Mine is done this way and the result is really pleasing.
Mind you that for the best result in displaying chinese in programs like media player, you better install the cabs as explained in this thread:

I don't ever use Chinese at all, I just bought my phone in HK whilst I was on holiday, so I'd like to have that stock ROM in case I want to go back to it after mucking around with other ROMS.
TBH, I've got everything set the way I like it at the moment, and I cannot be bothered redoing everything again right now. Maybe when I Have a bit more time
How's the 1.66 Asian WWE ROM compared to the stock HK rom? One thing thats still pissing me off is the pink patch in photos despite installing the fix from HTC Hk's website.

So if I flash my HD2 with the "RUU_Leo_HKCSL_WWE_1.48.831.0_Radio_Signed_15.28.50 .07U_2.05.51.05_2_Ship.exe" ROM, can anyone confirm whether it would automatically install the CSL bloatware even if I'm using another carrier (e.g. smartone-vodafone or PCCW)? Or is there an option to bypass the CSL applications?

hi muffin. i've got a hkCSL HD2. i can confirm that the "bloatware" only comes up if you have a CSL or 1010 sin inserted also i think there is an option to not install it if you do! i am using the HD2 in the uk now with a Vodafone sin and no "bloatware". i hope this answers your question.....

Not at the moment... we need HSPL or CID unlocker or GoldCard to flash different vendor id rom...

Don't blame me for this question - being a newbie, but is there any idea, if this (flash different ROM) will be possible in some days or some weeks, ...
I'm bored, that the windows phone idea is reduced to absurdity by having "market share protecting ?" limits induced by the providers...
I bought the 16GB version (not available in Europe...) from T-Mobile US and now I have no german layout for the keyboard, no dataconnection (ok, I'm using T-Mobile GERMANY not T-Mobile USA - what ridiculous, same company, I thought..)

Please someone correct me if im wrong but the USA version will never work this side of europe because it uses different frequencys for its 3g connection. If you wanted a german hd7 with 16gb why didint you buy it from o2 de? https://service.o2online.de/portal/...ostpaid&hwid=4510+070046+00&tid=N-HWO-H-NC-20

That's not possible at the moment.
I have one HD7 equal yours and gives Vendor Id error.
we will have to wait for HSPL or another thing different to install other HD7 roms.

But what makes me strange is that if we have an unlocked phone (even if we bought in O2 ou Orange or another network) why can we apply a custom WWE/European rom?? If the phone is unlocked it means he can work in any country with any operator so by comparison we could install another rom (i think )

the phone is only unlocked to be used for other operators , The vendor ID didn't change and due to that you can only flash rom's that are signed by that vendor

normally that are different vendors confused: o2 DE , o2 UK) but you could just try if you want/need to flash (you just get an error nothing more )

me to , I don't see the point to flash a rom right now , the only thing changed are some OEM things (like ie explorer homepage , AND I DON'T want change that)

My phone works excellent here in Portugal, I don't need to change anything for now...I'm checking the rumours about the updates that will came from MS in January and February and that makes me even more happy with the phone and software that I have for the moment

What is the difference between these 2 ROM?
- RUU_Photon_HTC_FRA_1.36.406.1_Radio_Signed_32.2803.05.06_0.63.05.36_Ship.exe
- RUU_Photon_HTC_FRA_1.07.406.1_Radio_Signed_20100305_Ship.exe
For my telephone, of HTC support site, I should download and install the ROM 1.36.406.1.
But, I would like a equivalent ROM in Chinese because I would like to change the phone in chinese (for my wife who is Chinese)
Where I can find a Chinese version compatible with my phone?
(I found only the "1.07.708.1" version on the ShippedRoms.com site but I think that I need the "1.36.708.3" version)
Maybe someone can give me a chinese HD Mini serial number with which I could download the good version....

the roms starting with 1.36 are newer than the 1.07
but sorry someone else should help for the serial... but at least try the 1.07 you got from shipped rom and see if suit you..
Yes, i can try the 1.07 asian HK version... But i just hope that somebody can give me the version 1.36 of this rom...
On shipped ROMs site, this version are missing but, on HTC site the version is available but i need a chinese serial number for download the latest version....
If someone have a chinese serial number... He is welcome !!
