Hi guys,
I did a hard reset 3 days ago, and ever since haven't been able to download/install marketplace. My internet connection is working fine and I've tried both with 3g and Wifi. It keeps giving me an error message saying "There maybe a problem with marketplace service right now. Check your connection and try again later."
Anybody knows anything about that? Is it really a problem with Marketplace or is it my phone? Any help would be appreciated
I did even download the cab file from the internet, but when trying to install that one it says "Installation as unsuccessful. The Program can#t be installed because it does not have sufficient system permissions".!!

I did a hardreset too, and since then I can't get anything from Windows Marketplace either...
Keeps telling me that it can't logon to the Windows Marketplace servers, and that I should try again in a few seconds...
Also tried the regedit with no luck...
Any help would be appriciated greatly!

adjust date and time to your region and it will work ,happened to me

Worked for me once, updating the FaceBook app...
But after the reset, it didn't work anymore.
Tried applying the same changes as before, but no luck.
I then disabled the "use network ressources to adjust time/local" option, and now it works as it's supposed to.
Since when have the auto-time-update been an issue?

Anyone having any issues with Windows Mobile Marketplace this morning? It may just be an issue with flashed ROMs. Mine was running fine yesterday afternoon but last night I tried to kick it off and it said there was an update available and it would try to download it. It gets to the same point every time(about 85%) and says that Windows Marketplace cannot connect right now. I know I don't have any connection issues. Still doing the same thing for me this morning.
I did the registry hack a little while back to change the version to .5.3.00 or something like that and it worked fine.
Anyone have any problems with it, or is it working for anyone with a cooked ROM?
Yup I'm getting the same message. I'm on unbranded UK Touch pro2 using stock 6.5. I've also got a CAB installed that allows me to save apps on my SD card. don't know if that might nake a difference.
At least I know I'm not alone I wonder what the fix is...
i was getting that same error and uninstalled marketplace and used this cab. everything is back to normal now

Thanks, quick question does that .cab allow for saving programs to an SD card?

Ok, for those who are getting the "Windows Marketplace for Mobile cannot connect right now. Try again later." I have been able to duplicate the error occurring w/ the hacked version of Marketplace that comes from XDA which allows storage to SD card.
After un-installing hacked version & replacing w/ default Marketplace software, it updates properly now. I uninstalled default version and re-installed hacked version I got the error message again. I finally un-installed hacked version again and re-installed default version and now everything is working again.

Yeah i have the same problem... I uninstall marketplace then reinstall the stock marketplace and it works fine, then install the hack version that allows SD card saves and get error message...... still no luck with hacked version.......
same thing here. but i've come to the conclusion that marketplaces sucks anyhow. and if i cant download to my sd card that i DON"T want it on my phone. so till xda comes up with a new verison for the sd card i will not put it on my phone

i have tried the hacked version and the official and still will not work.
the hacked version says needs to update and while updateing just shutsdown..

Same problem here. Tried Hard Reset before, but problem still occur.
My only way to get access to Marketplace is to uninstall the initial program that was needed when i first tapped on the icon, u should be able to find it in "Remove programs", " Microsoft Windows(r) Marketplace for ..." then soft reset the phone, re install the initial program again by tapping the Marketplace icon.
Then will i be able to enter Marketplace again. But the same problem might resurface after a couple of days or weeks. I know this is not a permanent solution but at least you should be able to download all the necessary programmes that you required. Hope this can help you in a small way.
All of a sudden I can't update the stock information. I get this message "CONNECTION ERROR. There was a connection error while attempting to download stock data. Retry? Yes/No". It doesn't matter how the phone is configured or whether I initiate the update or the application does so automatically. I googled the message and found that some folks had the same trouble with the Weather application. The Solution was a registry tweak.
I haven't tried a hard reset yet. Since I don't know what the problem is or what caused it, I am reluctant. Also I hate to tweak the registry without specific information about what to change and how.
Can anybody help me with this?

I forgot to mention that I upgraded my Rom from 1.07 to 1.36. Yesterday. I'm not so sure that was smart.

There seems to be a bug with Wp7 ... if you happen to interrupt a download you get an error when trying to re-access marketplace. Up till now, I was only able to fix this via a reflash.
Anyone found a workaround to this error?

I managed to see that underneath, there is a banner trying to show that there was 1 download and 2 updates going on.
I tried to find some file explorer to erase the cache of marketplace as I believe this would resolve the problem. I also tried to complete the Install via Zune PC and it is saying that "the app is already installed"
More than anything else, I am trying to let everyone know that
(1) its better to download / install apps via zune as if this wifi issue occurs, you're screwed
(2) It's better to download apps 1 by 1 ... I was greedy and was downloading 2 and ran into issues....
If anyone has a fix to this ... would be very glad to hear from you

I have searched the forum but cannot find anyone with a similar problem.
I have activated my Win 7 but still cannot download apps.
I get the following message when trying to install an app
"Can't get this information at the moment. Check again in a little while"

yeah I am having the same problem, received my activation code today. I go on Zune and it lets me install ot, but I get it will install soon message and then it never does. Anyone, I am in the US and on t-mobile.

The wp7 ist correctly running, only the marketplace doesn't run...

When i want to install the programs with zune, zune say, that it is installed, but i can't find the program on my phone...

Just downloaded and istalled the IMDb app. Downloaded and installed fine, but won't run. Loads up for about 4-5 seconds and then phone goes back to WP7 menu screen. Any ideas???

have you applied the registry key to identify the device as a HD 7 ?(unless you have a ROM with this as standard)
There is coming the following message:

For you guys having problems with Marketplace, just be sure you made de HD7 tweak (in Settings-About your device must appear as HTC HD7, not Leo70). After you enter the 25 digit code in Marketplace, get the Live ID.xap file (available on the forum) and edit the CustClear.provxml file in it with your code. Then deploy the LiveID.xap to device.
I'm not having any Problems with Marketplace apps.
