It seems impossible to send pictures via Bluetooth from the HTC Album on the HD2 (running 1.66). The option doesn't appear to be there.
I can send from Multimedia, but it's a hassle.
Is there a tweak/hack for this?
Thank you for helping!
Would like to know also as it's a major pain. Sending from Resco explorer doesn't seem to work either
Only way is to go into settings and into the bluetooth app which is a pain as the browsing functionality is non existent, also it has no ability to preview the photos before sending.

Hello
I use resco photo manager. Its superb. A million times better than HTC Album. You can send a photo via bluetooth just by holding the photo. You can resize, change format, edit, crop and many other things with the photo.

Resco Explorer utilizes bluetooth perfectly. You just need to update your copy with a more recent version.
Still looking for a tweak for this.
What where they thinking when they developed HTC Album? You can send to Facebook, MMS of mail, but no bluetooth...

Ermmm..what does 'regm' mean and where would I find it in my x1 files?
HOW to multiselect Pictures then???
Okay, if this is already there, kindly somone explain HOW I can multiselect some pictures i.e. to beam at once?
Cannot find a way, only one by one so far.
I use resco file explorer which enables me to select many files at once to beam it to another phone.

well this is like holding the left mousebutton i windows and dragging the mouse to select several files at once, so in x1 and other it will work in total commander and other apps like it by simply drag stylus over several files to select them.
Oops accidental double post!
And that's all just a registry setting? How rare. Nice though, thanks!

The answer to this lies in understanding bluetooth. Natively Bluetooth beam supports single file transfer. I.E. you have to send them one at a time, even folders containing multiple files cannot be beamed. This is where a third party application is required, which can automatically send multiple files 1 by 1 when you select more than one. I use Resco Explorer, out of the box it allows you to select multiple files with a drag of the stylus and perform any regular operation on them all even transfer across wifi/bluetooth. hope this helps
Don't think this has anything to do with 'understanding' either Bluetooth nor 'how its beamed'. My P990i could do this just fine with bluetooth or infrared!
And when you "try" to select more pics, the phone does not know yet what you want to do with that.... sending via Bluetooth, email, mms, etc. So that has nothing to do with this. Its a Windows craps perhaps?!?!
bharat4ever
Okay, thanks.
Will try a third party app now (once again...)
In the meantime I found to use the Virtual Keyboard, hold down Ctrl button and then can select any number of files. Most of the time it works to mutli send / beam the files/pics.
Or, one can use Resco Explorer to do the same.

Thnx m8,I'll try it asap!!!
Edit: Nice one cel15,but it is more than an advanced image-editing tool and not a common filebrowser with intergrated thubnail-preview for images (and videos).Nice one though, still much useful !!!
Ok, there's also another option...

File explorer extension enables a "photo preview" with the regular Explorer for pocket Pc..
Now i'm out of responses!

You have to use HTC album of the TF3D to assign your image has your contact and the quality will be very cool

This trick however does not work with newer Manila 2 from Topaz, since you get a crop feature that degrades the photo quality.
However, if you use Facebook accounts to link the photos, they will look good. The down side is you can't choose the photo - it has to be the one the person is using on his / hers Facebook profile.
Hmmm.... It dosent get any better at all :-(

You can choose from the users entire home page picture folder. So any of the photos they have ever used for their profile.
Here is the review in danish with the new Diamond2 - look where there is a picture of the contacts, it is much better quality then i can get on HD.

Not sure if you mean the same thing, but contact pictures on my HD were terrible quality when I loaded JPEGs from my PC, synch'd, and then assigned them to the relevant contact. But then I tried the same with as PNG format and contacts pictures are perfect.

This is true. In addition to above have to say do not assign image from contact list, in that case picture quality is really poor.
I don't know what is the situation with png format.
I had the same issue. If you go to contacts and select change/add picture they show up terrible. If you go your photos and the select save as contact they come out good oops didnt notice someone already answered this
.
I had the same problem with the diamond touch. The option for that phone was to make the jpeg file in a different size.
if you have a picture that is 1200X800 or something you must increase it but i dont know the size for the HD
Hello,
How about adding "send via bluetooth" function into "Albums" application ?
Currently there is no such function in Albums. So if you're watching photos you can't send them via bluetooth. This is very stupid and inconvenient - you need to open another application like File Explorer or Multimedia, then waste your time to find that picture, which you wanted send to your friend and then send via bluetooth. It's ridiculous... because Multimedia doesn't allow to switch photos by finger sweep/slide. Another FAIL from Microsoft...

Use the "Pictures & videos" application (Start, Multimedia, Pictures & Videos). Long-hold on an image or video to bring up the menu, where you can send via bluetooth. This program also allows you to swipe left and right to change image.

You should maybe not have such a negative attitude when asking for help. It puts people off trying.
The pictures & videos application was written by Microsoft. The Albums application was not. It was written by HTC. Basically, the Microsoft one works.

Album looks much better then "Pictures & Videos" and switching pictures in Albums looks also better. And in Albums you see pictures really in FULL-screen mode unlike in Pictures & Videos.
So, the question was: Is it possible to add "Send via Bluetooth" in Albums application ? Maybe some kind of registry tweaks ?

Since it's imperative that you do this with that one particular application, I will answer the question you asked.
No. It cannot be done.
Incidentally, this is the wrong forum to ask this question and you should always put a proper title, but you're obviously new here and still learning
If ALBUM is not a Microsoft aplication why you state that it's a Microsoft fail ? You need to learn a lot how to use windows mobile or try and iPhone that is made for people who dont botter to learn anything.... ah! you cant send pictures via bluetooth in iphone too LOL

I didn't know that, thanks for info. It means it's HTC fail. It looks stupid, cause they left there options to send pictures from album by e-mail, by mms, send to Facebook - but no bluetooth option!! I wonder why? That's just the major file sharing wireless standard.
I setup now Resco Photo Manager which does exactly what I wanted. It supports Bluetooth and all other standards, It even supports Multitouch, not only for resizing pictures - but even for rotating images!! Wonderful! That's really what I was dreaming about!

Think my dreams are a bit different to yours!
Glad your sorted though!
Why does my phone want to be different?
Try it: go to "album and photo" from htc sense and push the photo: nothing!
Also if i try from menu in "Album" there's nothing like "send it via bluetooth"
The same for the songs.
Nothing Everywhere!
There's only one way to use bluetooth: open file explorer!
is it normal? from the web i don't find nothing. None has got my problem.
Is it possible to fix it?
ps: my ROM is official, i installed all the hotfix, but nothing is changed.
I dont have any bluetoothoption in my album either, so I guess its normal with the official rom. Dunno, maybe the chefs have solved that?
you can use 'file explorer' or 'pictures and videos' from start menu... both give you bluetooth transfer options.
only in file explorer i have the bluetooth option.
nothing in "album and photo". where can i find it? '
I think it is normal [and irritating].
You can also access it via BlueTooth Manager>Tools>BT Send Object
or as mentioned above for pictures you can use
start - pictures and video
to browse by thumbnail and press and hold to send via blue tooth.
it's incredible -.-
i want to know why someone have this option in "album and photo"
Different ROM?
WIGWAM12? Audio Oblivion?
EDIT: i'm sorry i choose the wrong "Photo and Video". From Sense there's nothing like "send it via bluetooth". but from start, it works
WTF -.-

Hello
The easiest option is just install Resco Photo Manager. A million times better than HTC Album and you can just bluetooth straight from a photo as well as resize and reshape and edit etc etc etc
