I'm still mulling over an HD2 and have a couple of App queries:
Is there are good RSS reader that will sync with Google Reader and allow me to save for offline reading?
Is there a good Ebook reader that will support pdf files?
Is there software that would allow me to playback .m4a audio files?
Hi Chris and welcome,
If you use search you will find the answers to your questions. Just used this...http://www.google.com/advanced_search?q=+site:http://forum.xda-developers.com&hl=en&lr=&as_qdr=all to find an answer to the e reader question.
Good luck.
WB
PS: One more thing if you have not already done so; read the Hints & Tips thread on here. It should help inform your decision on buying the device.

Is it possible to create an RSS Feed for this Forum? I would be easier to find out about the new posts....

I am looking for some way to write on a PDF. The situation is someone emails me a PDF I need to be able to be able to annotate (in red preferable) what needs to be changed and either save it or send it back. Basically I want the comment and markup tools that come with any adobe PDF reader. Is this an option at all and I have just not found it? Has anyone found a program that will do this? Is there a workaround that anyone has found?
Any help is appreciated
Thanks guys/gals

According to Google: http://books.google.com/help/ebooks/content.html books should be epub or pdf files. To keep the books available when offline, you need to press Menu then choose Manage ebboks and press the pin icon. This will download the ebook (if this option is available).
The books are stored inside (for me on SD): /sdcard/Android/data/com.google.android.apps.books/files/volumes. In that directory, you have a lot of subdirectories. Each one of them being a book. You then might have another subdirectory in there (if you "pinned" the book), called pages where each page is stored. I don't know the format, it doesn't open with a pdf reader but I could open it with FBReader (so I assume it's in the epub format).
Now the bad news: it is not possible yet to import external ebboks into Google ebooks ! That feature could be included in a further release, as the idea has been passed to the development team, but it does not actually exists. Quite a Shame (http://www.google.com/support/forum/p/books/thread?tid=356267d955de61a7&hl=en).
For the time being, I still prefer to use Alkido and FBReader (I do not arrive to choose which one to use yet) as I can import in these programs eoboks that I have (mainly in epub, some in pdf).

Google ebooks reader is mainly available in USA. It is not yet in UK, Japan or France. I guess this relies to agreements which have not be found between Google and major books companies (although I read somewhere that an agreement was found between a french book publisher and Google).
So it's a very early program, very limited (as it just works with Google system) and as such other solutions might be preferable (athough I installed the program and downloaded free ebooks to test it).
good but i prefer fb reader
What purpose the the USB connection service?
If we connect A7 to computer via USB what will we be able to do?
It apparently doesn't show in Explorer and it does charge; so I wonder what it is on the A7 for.
Does anyone know.
I wanted to delete some of the applications, but there doesn't seem to be any way to do so. I tried putting finger on Amazon MP3 (and a few others) and sliding to Trash Can, but that doesn't remove the icon. I tried going to Managing Applications Uninstall, but that doesn't remove the application.
How do we remove icons from the desktop? How can we remove apps we do not want? Such as Facebook, Amazon, Amazon MP3, Fring, Kindle, Appoke,Twidroyd Pro and Alkido. How do we remove them the icons and how do we uninstall the apps? Or does Elocity prevent us from removing these apps? If so, that is quite unfair I would say.
Please respond and than you.
Alice
BTW- How would I contact Elocity?
May I suggest going to the Elocity website and downloading their user manual?

It may help in answering many of your questions.

Thanks. I did look in the manual but no answers to my questions and that is why I posted the questions here. The forum is used for questions and I am trying if any other A7 users have possible answers to my original questions about deleting icons from the desktop, uninstalling applications, etc. I hope someone has had the same questions when they first received their A7s and have found solutions and would be able to enlighten me.
People asking questions is what keeps a forum functioning I belive and allows novices to learn more about their new purchase (A7 in this case). If no one has a solution, they would not need to answer a post.
Thanks (just trying to learn)
Alice
