Looking for a new UI - Touch Pro2, Tilt 2 Themes and Apps

Ok so i have searched a little but i know there are so many UIs out there and i am looking for a new one. Right now i have UltimateLaunch and i have used this forever so i would like something that is similar to this but that may also have more features. Does any one have any thoughts? Thanks

Try PointUI

Thanks to both of you for your suggestions

i second spb mobile shell. i've always used spb mobile shell since back in the days. awesome program and great UI with lots of customizablity. it's only now, with the new sense UI that i've stopped using SPB MS but that's likely only until they release a new version, at which time i'm sure i'll go back...
and, once you buy from them, they always give you an awesome discount when upgrading to the next version!

You should have a look at what Maxycy is working on http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=625652
VERY IMPRESSIVE!

Hmm. I personally like iPhoneToday which gives me the look and feel of the iPhone. Easy access to phone as well as 3-5 screens of apps/shortcuts that are very easy to get to.
Unlike SPB, iPhonetoday is free and has a very small footprint and very easy to configure. I find that its also very quick and stable.
Do a search on this site for it.

Personally, I LOVE this new Infinity UI. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=609512 It's fantastic, but it's at a very early stage.

spb is announcing their newest version of mobile shell tomorrow at mwc

multi-platform capable??
I bet it's going to have some code in there specifically to take advantage of the muscle of snapdragon, and considering how advanced each version of mobile shell was for it's time, this does stand to be quite a development!
Even though I'm still a fan of everything HTC has managed to do to whitewash the underlying OS, I'm very interested in seeing what SPB has come up with to make claim again on the "winmo-shell" crown
EDIT: Lobo, are you going to WMC?? If so, please be sure to find out whatever you can about that and report back here pronto!

I think it makes the Universal worth having - I just got a Hermes yesterday, and despite it being a beautiful device with feck small buttons, QVGA is too old school these days.
VGA will make you blind faster then the Victoria Secret's catalogue, but it looks beautiful. With careful tweaking it can be made usable for day to day work, but for remote desktop or PocketWord etc, it's great.

VGA mode is fantastic - I couldn't be without it.
I have it turned on all the time but find it mainly useful for:
Web Browsing and actually being able to see worth a damn
PocketPutty connections
Terminal Services

You think that's weird, you should see my table-arm attachment:
FYI - I'm working on a new app for the phone, to make it much better then VJBigPhone. One day some time, hopefully this year
But seriously, VGA is great technically and it's a real shame to use QVGA afterwards, but it is painfully small sometimes. But with appropriate UI tweaks, it can work very well.

Calling all Pocket CM theme creator's

One of the best looking PCM theme's I have seen was for whatever reason, abandoned. See it here:

I am looking, asking and hoping that one of you talented artist's (or maybe even the one who created this one) can pick up where this one was left off.
C'mon... I know ya'll can do it! And there are 6 pages of folks asking for this one!
PS.
I'd do it myself, but I'm not that far advanced in my WM learning.
Thanks, and keep up the great work!

Look realy good indeed, thursday I dont have anything to do yet so I think I will take a look and see what I can do.
Hellz yeah!
You're one of the most requested artists around so, yeah... that **** would be cool.
Or even a Diamond PCM theme from you too if it's not asking too much.
Versions of those themes exist
There is a very nice looking PocketCM theme for WM7 here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=392985
and a diamond one here:

I see the mobile 7 edition is out there already, I'll might start with a diamond or minimal version of it. Probably more white.

yeah, I saw that one and I do like it. Just figured you'd do a *better* job with it. No disrespect to Littletrain for his work.
I sure like to see another new theme. to bad we dont have a pcm theme ref. thread. i'd be nice to see all themes available on this forum.

Like other WVGA devices it looks like this interface will be specific to WVGA. Very limiting that is....o well it does look "very nice" lol

nice! today screen Clock with Seconds!
And i love the 1ghz processor xD
Check this video out at Mobile Crunch. I have to say Im not that impressed.
http://www.mobilecrunch.com/2009/02/03/toshiba-tg01-fondled-on-video/
Interface looks pretty great on the video presentation I saw. I'm wondering if the 'stipes' will get a bit stale after a bit of usage? Looks pretty fluid and I'm all about that in my preferred interface. (whichever flavor I'm in to at the moment.) Will be interesting to see what comes out of it for our various devices.
now that i saw the iphone size comparison on msmobiles.com, i beginning to lose interest. this thing is HUGE!
thats nice really

But the Toshiba Stripes menu uses way to small buttons (especially for switching clock, calendar etc.)
Sascha
I want, hope they release it in the US too. the top could a bit smaller but I still want one.
it's not a windows interface, it's just like TF2D and TF3D it's over the windows OS.

With that 1gb processor ps2 games should be doable as long as it has proper video and 3d drivers this time around.
what's the word on availability date?
price?

it would be a really nice upgrade to my athena.

I really doubt that is Windows 7 (unrelated : isn't it weird how the desktop version and the mobile version now have the same name? )
And after reading the comments on the other thread I seriously doubt that wm7 will be released this year:
1) they're still working on wm6.5
2) releasing wm7 so close after wm6.5 would be ummm....counterproductive?
Until we find something on the internet really identifying it as WM7, I'm a skeptic.
microsoft has already said that wm7 wont be out till next year (prob march/april) its only developers that get it in november i think
Yes, actually that does look like WM7. A while ago a large number of concept screen shots came out. The credibility of those screen shot and the story behind it could be debated. But IMO sure evidence came in the form that in a MS live mesh commercial there was a brief shot of an HTC touch running the exact UI that was leaked. This looks like that interface with a few tweaks/improvements. I am trying to find that original story.
*edit* not the story I was talking about but all the shots were like this one:
http://www.flickr.com/photos/blinx_182/3265548956/
*edit 2*
The first two pics are from the live mesh commercial. Note, WM7 is not really running on his device. They are screen shots. I was fooled at first. lol.
http://www.flickr.com/photos/blinx_182/
Here it is. The full story. Not the original site I saw it on but looks like the same pictures and text.
http://www.zakeh.com/2008/01/07/windows-mobile-7-details-leak-cool/
That UI was found on a WM device in a MS commercial. Evidence enough to me that at least at some point this is the direction MS was going. And I like it.
I think wm7 will change alot over the next year as they get feedback and see what every one else does.
This might be early code but still about 6 months till developers get it then another 5 months of changing as they get feedback from developer
My guess is no. Hell no.
It looks a bit crap, not to mention VGA (why would MS be developing a 2010 mobile OS in VGA?). I'm very sceptical.

[DEV/REQ] Grid Launcher

So, I was very bored, and I made a concept. I'm sure you've all seen GridOS, and I know that you've probably seen many people asking for it. I really wish we could get something like this going on android. I know literally nothing about creating apps (yet) but I wonder if the designer of Launcher 7 would be interested, my concept is basically a 4-way-scrollable version of his existing app. I'd be willing to help with graphics in ANY way.

It would be nice to see grid os, I thought it was built on android? They say they can use android apps so I'm assuming yes we just need to port or *a* port.

Actually, this isn't just a theme. This is a hopeful development thread for a full-fledged home replacement app. I contacted the developer of Launcher 7, and he said that he doesn't have time to work on anything right now. He did say, however, that he was playing around with the idea of a Windows 8 launcher for android, but that this looked much more interesting.
Very interesting idea, actually more interesting than the Win8 layout itself. I haven't got right now time for coding tablet, but if I prototype it again, I'll definitely look at this approach over win8.
