Flash player not working in IE - HD2 General

I'm trying to watch my favorite TV-show at this address: http://ingurapresei.antena1.ro/ but my HD2 won't play in any browser I tried (IE, Opera, Skyfire). What am I doing wrong?

I don't think Flash Player works on the HTC HD2 ie Browser yet, but i could be wrong.

You are wrong matey - it does
It needs a later version of flash than the one that is installed on your device. Unfortunately, it's the latest version for windows mobile. Until a newer version comes out, there will always be some flash objects that simply won't play.
Sorry.
I'm surpised you say SkyFire doesn't work though. I never use it personally, but everyone else seems to rave about it as a flash player.

reinstall skyfire...it will work....

I reinstalled Skyfire and now it won't connect to internet although Opera does. I tried downloading Skyfire from PC and from device and then installing but no luck in any cases. It still does not connect and keeps on poking me with an error message that daoesn't let me close skyfire from menu and forces me to End Task it.

Ok. I got it working but it still doesn't play the videos. Please go to that site and tell me if it works on your device.

post link to flash player
post link to flash player that works please. TIA

Flash on your TYTN

Is there a software to view Flash Media on the HTC TYTN ?
you can download the flash plugin from adobe for IE ..etc
if you want a standalone player Bryht Flash Player v2.0 is pretty good google it
you mean macromedia player? you can download it here or flash memory? somethink like that? if you interrested on what is inside hermes, look here.
Basically what it is is that i've just sky+ and I would like to be able to set it to record from my VARIO 2 by going on to the sky.com website/ tv guide as it you where doing it from a desktop, but when I try it loads the page ok but says "Either you do not have flash orit is disabled in your browser. Please enable or download it here.
Now i've download about 3 different flash software I found and none of them work.
I know I can set the sky+ to record by sending a text from my mobile but since these phone are not compatible for sky anytime I just wanted what I see as the next best thing which is go online and view the programmes listed.
I don't know what else to try !
Flash player has many different versions, and the versions for mobile are not as advanced as those for web browsers on personal computers. Chances are, the site you are trying to visit is authored for versions higher than what the tytn can support
Ok m8, well i'll keep on searching just in case get lucky !

Youtube Videos?????????

HOW do I watch YouTube vids on my Mogul by HTC? I tried downloading the flash player. Didn't work. PLEASE HELP!
Search The Threads!!!!
You are looking for TCPMP player and flash video bundle.
HTC's Streaming Media is good too. It uses YouTube Mobile quality, (a good amount more compressed,) but it streams great. I prefer TCPMP.
I followed the article written at Treo Central and it works great on my XV6800.
http://discussion.treocentral.com/showthread.php?t=148801
Attached is FlashVideoBundle 1.4.4 and TCPMP 0.72RC1 for PocketPC. I used these CAB on my phone.
Are these the latest versions, or do they work the best??? And thanks for posting them.....
How to make PIE appear as IE...
have these files installed without problem...but my pocket IE always goes to the mobile versions of websites not the "real" full site...i have been searching but have been unable to find the appropriate work-around...any suggestions?
Download Vtap to your phone. Works great and loads very quickly. Video quality is fair.

Yes, as of now these are the newest versions. In terms of performance I have not tried any other versions.
I used Opera Mobile before my trial ran out (after the rom upgrade I can use it for another 30 days, then might pay the $24). There's an option to identify your device to websites as a desktop computer, so you don't automatically get forced into a "mobile" version of a site such as YouTube. Opera Mobile also supposedly has a flash player built in, but I haven't tried it.

If you go to youtube mobile and scroll down the page, there is an option to view the normal site. from then on your browser will take you to the regular youtube site.
Try typing this into your browser www.youtube.com/?nomobile
all of these are good...

Adobe Flash for Pocket IE

Does anyone know if Adobe Flash is available for Pocket IE?
I thought this was going to be part of Win Mobile 6.1

I use Flash Player 7 (fp7_ppc_en.cab). I am not sure if it can be uploaded here so search for the cab first if you might. If you can't find it on the Adobe site, perhaps there are other options.
Just a couple of items. FP7 is a hog, but it does work for simple Flash sites, (YMMV). Also, there seems to be an installation dependency if you are using the TCPMP/FlashVideoBundle to view streaming video, YouTube and such.

Hi Bill -- can you elaborate on the installation dependency? For example, I'm using the TCPMP/FlashVideoBundle. Are there known issues with subsequently installing the Flash Player on top of that?
Thanks in advance for any info you can provide.

The only issue I had was to ensure that the TCPMP/FlashVideoBundle was installed before the Flash Player 7.0. In this order everything fuctions normally.
Bad Idea for me
I installed the flash player 7 on my Mogul, and it made my phone freeze every time to the point of reset each time I visited a highly based flash site like Youtube. I believe it just tries to act as a flash player and the processor cannot handle that. Or maybe it is a conflict with the already installed FlashBundle/TCMP Player. I do not know if anyone has had the same problem
Thanks! Working OK so far.

Has anyone got embedded flash content working?

I have read several threads on this subject, but the issue still appears to be largely unresolved...
Can you access embedded flash content within Opera using a stock ROM?
Only solution appears to be using Skyfire unless someone can tell me different?
Thanks to clarify...
Bump... I'll take that as a 'no' then?
use skyfire that resolves the embedded flash problem, other browsers are hit and miss at this time, macromedia hasnt developed a working flash application that doesnt work sparingly, flash lite works but only on some sites not all
I keep being told that Flash is a feature of the new Opera and is rife on the HD, so whats the problem?

I'm referring to content like the embedded videos on the BBC website. If you try and play them on a stock ROM it points you to download Flash. Having done this the Adobe website says that the device is not supported...
I did download a mobile version of FlashPlayer but it seems to have made little or no difference.
Skyfire is okay, but I reckon it needs some refinement to be at its best for the HD.
Ho hum...

[Q] Problem with Adobe Flash Iconia A500

I have a problem with Flash not working on my A500. I have tried to install various versions to no avail. All I want it to do is view video content on the local news websites. I have had a live chat with local Acer support and they couldn't help me. ( Australia ) Does anyone have any idea on how to get it working ?????
All suggestions taken on board !

do you see any type of flash at all? or is it just the live video content which is not shown? please provide more details, such as a link to the website you seen not to have flash enabled?
flash should work fine, i got it running with live content for danish websites and tv stations broadcasting live video.
i feel flash works great (that is on 3.1) but 3.0.1 was working fine too.
what doesn't work? ive found that flash on Opera browser doesn't work at all, but viewing flash in stock browser works fine.
i read somewhere that you have to "tell" opera to use flash, however i looked and couldnt see how it was done.
More information
Thanks to you both for assisting. I have 10.3 installed, can play flash based games, but Opera, Dolphin or Firefox will not play video content. The browser that came with the unit can. Another curious thing, if I navigate to the home page of XDA-Developers I cannot play the video XDA TV Video, it says "download Plug in" but nothing happens when I click this .
Ok, your problems are the support of the apps, not the actual stock release.
I read somewhere Opera can be made working on 3.x with flash, but how, i dont know and i can be wrong..
you can only ask the apps makers for support here, asking Acer is really not much help..so go around Opera website and ask, or firefox forums..
All good, I suspected it was a proprietory issue rather than the Iconia so I will see what I can do with Firefox / Opera forums.
Cheers, Tom
Opera mobile does'nt support flash!
i think i use the default browser and works fine....
