Screwed up a bit here.
Can someone post 3a8e04af_manila and 7c60907d_manila here?
Preferrably from the WWE 1.66.405.2.
Please?...
You could just reflash the ROM

Reflash the rom seems bit... unnecessary, hard reset will do it. But, I didnt really want to do that right now so thats why i asked
So thanks a BUNCH john, highly appreaciated!
[Edit]
There, now it works a bit better than before
Again, huge thanks for that fast reply John.

No worries mate
Hmm... homescreen icons still seem a bit "out of phase", the first three. Wonder if it will be resolved by installing Vovichek&Jamrecords_16Shortcuts again? Any ideas anyone?
[Edit]
Yup, that it did. Thanks for helping out John

That's probably a good idea. Hope it works mate, or you may end up having to hard reset after all!

your welcome.. and to be honest, there isnt really much reason to change roms if you dont need to, if your satisfied with the device then leave it be (the theory of, if its not broke then dont fix it applies here) if you think there are things that need to be changed then by all means, read up and do something about it

there is no virus greater than human error i would suggest investing in a back up program such as SPB or Sprite

only if you think you necessarily need the extra space.. i would probably spend some quality time with the phone, and get to know it a little better before changing it.. it will help to you to get a better idea of what you are looking for, maybe you will want some faster, or more storage.. there are a lot of choices out there that will help cater to your needs

Check it out (with video):
http://www.modaco.com/content/forum/266537/View-Topic/
Thanks to those who made this possible (primarily by providing USBTool, which I have actually edited to fix the typos)
P
Excellent job!
Yes indeed great job! With this video every newbie can do it
That's the hope
P
Just great!!! Thanks a lot!
BTW: Do you think that I might face problems installing it on a (future) German version of the Shift?
No, you should have no problems.
P
What use is the phone pad cab file?
Inputting text in an easy predictive manner without sliding out the keyboard.
More SHIFTpacks to follow.
P
Can you upload your fixed usbtool.exe? I'm happy with my setup now but would like to lose the typo!
Edit - Don't worry, just decompiled it and did it myself...
This is really, really great! I am not that experienced, but now I am confident enough to do the things that have to be done.
But I am still waiting for my device.
Thanks a lot!
Settembrini
Pantaloonie,
Would you be so kind to upload your recompiled version of USBTools.exe without the typo pls. Thx.

You can buy the Shift at Coolblue (umpcshop.be). They have a shop in Antwerp where you can play with the Shift before you buy it. They have them on stock right now (see their website).

First off, THANK YOU PAUL and EVERYONE who helped make this possible!!!
secondly i noticed after doing this hack that you can actually click on the phone icon and do everything except actually make a call. Do you guys think we can replace a file to enable the calling or we have to wait until we can actually make a custom ROM?
Thanks again and keep up the GOOD WORK!!
Which phone icon are you referring to?
P
hey everyone, could somebody please tell me is it worth to go for 1.48 rom???and why.
thanks
I can't say it's faster or more reliable, actually it feels relatively slower sometimes, but I'm not sure... Screen tap response is better, far less sensitive.
Thinking of flashing back to 1.43 if it resolves this problem... I don't want to hijack your thread but could you be so kind to check if you have the same issue with your 1.43?
Thnx
Lukas

I believe this thread contains everything that everyone knows about the differences between the two ROMS: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=593925
I have tried using the latest Opera version but it seems to have a problem with the Manila Internet tab in 2016. I have compared 9.7 35964 to 9.7.3600 and there are no difference in the reg. There are some difference in size of the Opera9.exe, and the standard_skin.zip, and settings.html.
So far I have not succeeded in patching it. So I'm back to 9.7 35964
If anyone knows a fix please let us know.
Yeah I've got the same issue. It's those damn chinese builds....
It creates the snapshot of the page (because you can see it in \temp) but it never makes it to the tab in Sense. I havent really looked into it since I dont really care for the feature much, but it'd be interesting to see why it's doing that...

This has nothing to do with this issue. I have exactly the same reg file on both versions. The new one does not work.

Thanks as well, but I will Stay with 9.7.35964 as it works and I can't tell much difference between the two.
PS I tried using just the .exe from 9.7.36000 but it had the same problem.
I'm sure there will be another WWE ROM released soon that will have the new version in it.
Hi all.
While driving home today, I had the music player on connected to the car stereo, and it kept skipping tracks backwards and forwards, then started dialling a friends number!!
This happened two or three times, so I done a restart and it was ok.
Anyone else had this?
Is it likely to keep happening?
I'm new to the forum, and to the Leo, but really loving it and would like to keep loving it
Thanks, Andy
Hi there!
So you say you are new to the Leo, so it might be that you have not installed the latest ROM yet.
Also don't forget to install ALL the hotfixes, there is also a hotfix for music stability for the latest ROM.
You can download the official ROM's from htc.com.
Good luck!
Hiya.
Many thanks for that.
I got the HD2 second hand, so not sure what updates have been done.
I'm using ROM version 1.66.405.2 if that helps?
I'll have a look on the HTC site and see what I can find.
Many thanks

I would take a look at the HTC website anyway as some operators have 1.72 ROMs (which are the 1.66 ROMs with all hotfixes applied)
