I'm going nuts here my download is 6 to 7 times slower than my upload, could you share your speedtest results?
Mine Are WTF? ok, that's just typical, phone makes you look daft when you're trying to show a problem...

Normally it's like this (tested like this always until this latest test above)
is this normal or is this likely related to the 3G issues on the nexus?

Am on Three i'll finish work at 17.00. When i get home i'll test it and let you know. Are you using Speed test app from market, if not the download it and post result here in Kbs.
Down- and uplink speeds are generally different. The Nexus One supports HSDPA 7.2Mbps and HSUPA 2Mbps. Other limits are imposed by your carrier's equipment. Your first test is about half as much, which seems reasonable for a real-life test where you share the spectrum with other users.
Yeah, I'm happy with the first result, but it's the first time I've got a decent result, all my previous attemts (over the last couple of weeks) have been similar to the second one.
Yep, I'm using the app from the market.

I get 580+ kbps on 3G. Seems fine to me :/ There is a tweak on the Android Development forum on boosting 3G speed, think you need a rooted phone though but if yours is rooted, read and try it out.
See my Sig.

===============3G===============================WiFi===============
I had 2.2 Froyo and the wifi calling quality was kind of weak, would be staticy and chop in and out, can't really make sense of what the other person says, he says the same with me
I decided to get CM7 7.0.1 and it did the same thing.
I then tried another router and it still had the same problem.
I now updated to 2.3.4 rooted and it still has the same problem.
Sometimes I even lose the call completely and it drops after a bunch of loss
Am I the only one? I couldn't find a post on the MT4G forums about this, nor do I know how many people actually use wifi calling.
I registered at T-mobile the 'Free Wifi calling' where it doesn't deduct minutes so I prefer to use wifi, just don't know how to fix this
tl;dr
2 different routers, 3 different OS's, all combinations, same issue
What are your internet speeds like?
WiFi calling works like a champ here. No issues at all unless I get to far from my router / repeaters. I have 100Mb internet though.... so speed isn't really an issue.
thanks for the reply
i'm probably 10ft from the router
i have a 25mbps/25mbps FiOS with 1-2ms jitter

There's a screenshot of a speedtest just now
Recently I found this app called "Network Signal Speed Booster". According to this app, it boosts your network signal by connecting to the best available cell site tower around you!
I have heard many people complain about low network signal and this may help. I tried it by myself on the g3 and it boosted one bar! I really havent tested this totally by going out somewhere else.
So it would be great if someone else tries whether this works too.

First test the app fully ...... and say me ................
I using Cyanogen 10 .................
so since sunday 7-15(the launch date for lte in atlanta) i have been getting higher and higher 3g speeds! before the average was .05-.1 mbps absolutely terrible i know. Now i get on average .5 mbps just hit .82 a few seconds ago. I know these numbers are still very slow but it is a huge improvement!. Now for wimax! This has been kinda gradual increases nothing really to do with the lte launch but it seems maybe less ppl are using the wimax network and i have a high of 11.5 mbps! Thats pretty impressive for the red headed step child 4g. Anyways just thought i would share. cant post any screen shots yet..hopefully soon!
Yep. With lte can network vision upgrades to 3g also.
Having trouble with AOSP? http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1295702

got over 10 posts. here is my top wimax with a lot of very random 3g tests.
Hi guys,
I'm using the Google Play Edition ROM for some weeks now and noticed something strange.
I have one of the best ISP's in my country (Belgium) which has almost everywhere 3G and on the most places even 4G. In the past I had very good 4G signal almost everywhere with my HTC One but with the Galaxy it's always stuck to 'E' and very occationally I get 'H' or 'H+'. But let's say for the most part, like 90% of the time, I only manage to receive 'E'...
The specific ROM:

}
As I'm not allowed to post in the development thread itself, I thought I could ask it here...
I already tried setting different connection types:
but none seem to work like it should. Or they work but I keep being stuck in 'E' mode...
EDIT:
I also tried using the 2 different kernels, but no change.
Another thing I noticed, when I'm on the phone with somebody I can hear them clearly but they all say my connection get's disrupted and they can't hear me (or not clearly) but the connection stays present.
Thanks!
