Does anyone know of an app (like nueUSBkeyboard) that would make the Rhodium work as a mouse? Is it possible to use the camera to do this?
Thanks,
Drunk
you can try g-remote. i think it's perfect
http://gbmsoftware.com/
it's not freeware though
That is handy and I appreciate the link, but I like the ability the keyboard app has that I can just plug it in without software on the PC side.
Any others?
[EDIT] I should say "any additional software."
Gonna "bump" this because I'm still having no luck...

I'm trying to find info about programing for VueFlo.
Someone working on this????
I hope so!
There is no reason that VueFlo couldnt be used a a generic input for gaming. Everybody went mad for Wii because of the tilt sensor, the Athena has it too!
Fancy an oldschool MarbleMadness game on Mame that uses the VueFlo sensor? I do!
SO many of the games out there could benefit. What we need is something like the directX input model. Where the games read a standard input, and you get any random hardware driver to suply the info to that.
That would allow for other cool stuff, how about motion tracking via the camera as game input? (ala mosquitos).
I guess the people with the skills to do this sort of thing have real lives and are busy elsewhere.
I would like a program who use vu flo to rotate the screen in portrait or paysage.
It would be great a such fonction is present in apple iphone.
yes it's could be a really usefull feature ...
i looked into the reg and i have found gsensor_service.dll end gsensor_setting and i have grab into a zip files.
If someone can do something : http://rapidshare.com/files/35997974/vueflo.zip

Might have to crack that open. Not that I'd know what to do but I could crack it open.
I think an motion sensor alarm system would be sweet. No?
And to the oppisite side.. Is anybody working on completly disabeling and/or removing this POS app?
Is there a way to connect my 8525 to an external monitor? My bluetooth keyboard and mouse work great -- now if I could connect an external monitor, this can become one hell of a tool!
This sounds cool, not sure what I'd use it for at this moment but still a good idea.
Does anyone know if there is a cable that can do this for the 8525?
not the anwser you are looking for
I know this is not what you want. The link below is to software that will allow you to view your phones screen on your computers monitor, and control it with your computer mouse and keyboard.
My Mobiler v1.0
Maybe it will be the answer for some people.
Definitely not what the OP was asking for, but damn cool just the same.
Thanks for that link. I'm not sure I even wanted, let alone needed that app, but I'm certainly going to use it now.
anyone know is this exists
I have been searching for something like this as well. If anyone knows of a cable for monitor out or if it is even possible I would appreciate knowing as well thanks.

Well, you havn't tried SOTI POCKET CONTROLLER yet. That one is commercial but has even lots of other stuff integrated, such as screen capture, screen recording and a DOS prompt box ...
http://www.soti.net
There used to be...
There used to be a manufacturer making SD cards with TV-out for making presentations from a ppc. Not seen one for a while! If I remember correctly you used to be able to get them from expansys...
Happy hunting!
Hi,
i found this in another thread, i was just wondering whether any devlopers would be able to use this file and adapt it to work with the x1? I would do it myself but im useless at all this stuff... (and plus i dont know how.)
The file can be found through this link-
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=440141&highlight=screen+sensitivity&page=2
What good would it do you to have a mouse pointer on the X1 screen? If the OS isn't optimized for it, there'll be no real benefit.
I used the demo of True Connect for a while which lets you move your PC mouse off of the screen onto the X1 screen. Very slick, but ultimately just a novelty because it didn't add any useful functionality to the X1. If they added drag and drop they would be on to something.
Correct me if I'm wrong but, I think the only reason why this hasn't been done already is because on the driver side the optical pad output is digital, eg: just 4 directions, and not coordinate output, like say a mouse.
samsung omnia has this option, (change from 4 way scrolling to a mouse).
Would be great to have this on the Xperia
wow my first post xD
@korval
i have to correct you....
a standard PC mouse with an oldschool trackball has also only 2 axis to get 4 directions but you can move the pointet over the screen like you want....
jo do not need more than this two axis but the only thing is to detect both of them simultaniously......
and i Love the pointer on Omnia but i dint like the Omnia itselve...... its only my second "emergency" device
ah and sry für bad english im a german one xD
On Screen Mouse
I'd be keen for this as well - it would be a nice cool UI feature.
What is really annoying (and spose off topic), the use of the optical pad doesn't register as a button/screen press, so the password lock screen comes up while you are using the optical pad to scroll!
(i was forced to set a longer timeout.. ah well, can't have everything secure..)

Yip, thats what I meant! I think you explained it a bit better than I did.
And now i will quote here what ive also written in another thread for this:
I will donate 50€ for the one who do this that its working like on my Omnia.....
this is a promise!!!!!!
would anyone use a laptop touchpad only like arrow keys instead of a mouse pointer??? NO!!!!
Greetz
i dont get it.
why not use the touch screen?
what reasons would u need this for?
the reason is that i want to use my device some times (if im on the walk) with only one handy.... also to use the browser......
the TF3D and spb etc is good to handle in one hand but not the browser like obera and opera mini..... also the small checkboxex in some programs are too small.....
on omnia i never have to use the stylus and i want to have this feature on my X1 because it MUST be possible!!!!!!

I dont understand some people here. Why are certain users against an additional input method? Isnt it a fact that everything that broadens the spectrum of available possibilities is generally a good thing? Have we fallen under Apple philosophy that condemns options that were not intended by the developer of the phone?
For me its clear that I would highly appreciate any additional way to control my device, especially a mouse pointer since this could replace the stylus when on the move. Even the small checkboxes would not force me to pull out the stylus anymore. How can anybody not support this? I dont get it. Isnt WM about freedom of choice?
I dont think anyone is against it, its just any developers who have read this dont think its important enough at the moment to spend time on, especially if they have other ongoing projects. But feel free to develop it yourself, no one will criticise you for making it, and if you do make it I am sure plenty of people will use it. No one here is Steve Jobs. lol.

I need a mouse smooth cursor llike the PC mouse for X1.tks!!!
This isn't asking for a "how-to" on setting up RDM... I was able to figure that out on my own.. but as i play around with this function.. i can't help but feel that it would be SO MUCH better if instead of "highlighting" things within the screen.. instead it allowed me to navigate as if it was on opera..
is there a tweak? or perhaps a mouse application that would enable something like that?? because when i am going through na webpage on RDM habit makes me slide down on the screen if i want to navigate down.. but instead it simply highlights the paragraph that i'm looking at.. anyone else dealing with this?? or perhaps anyone can enlighten me on how to further make the remote desktop mobile function a little more pleasing then it already is??
You can't do what you're asking.
Remember that it is duplicating your actions on your PC, so if you click a webpage with your mouse and slide up or down then it will highlight text, as you described. If, however, you had a browser on your PC that did slide up and down when you drag the mouse then it would do the same in RDP.
So it's not the fault of remote desktop here - it's doing exactly what it should. You need a browser that works how you want on your PC instead.

lol @ "in a happy voice"
that gave me a chuckle! yeah i think there was some perception of unintended offense, which really isn't there!
Since if you google Ouya you get so much trash about will it make its way or not, I couldn't find detailed info about this. Sorry if I missed something. (The intro video makes you feel really welcome).
Pairing the Controller is absolutely no deal and as far as I know on PC it works. On Mac, the keys are mapped really strange and I couldn't even figure out to wich buttons. D-Pad works perfectly. Most other buttons just move the mouse to the top left. My general mapping software didnt work with it, so I'm wondering if anyone had the same idea.
As well as that I would like to get my own software to run with it, so it would be super to know which buttons are wich or so. (Mapping propperly alone would be great too).
Thanks for any comment here.

I was trying USB-Overdrive, and now ControllerMate.
For the latter I managed it to be playable, but I can't figure out how to turn of the "default" behaviour of everything. Because the curser still jumps to the top left of the screen.. On many games no problem, but sometimes...
