Anyone knows how to show/create the folders in sms inbox like blackstone/WM6.1
In previous version i can just sort out different person's sms into different folders, I think it can be done by just change the registry, anyone got it? Please share to others. thanks.
Hi there,

hello
how can we Disable all htc all people and activate WM OEM contact?
I applied zenyee SMS patch to disable htc messaging but now everywhere that i select send text message it does nothing since htc all people replaced the WM OEM messaging shortcuts, so if it is disabled everything relates to original Windows contacts and it will be ok!
when i disable manila everything works fine!
thanks for helping

Looks like HTC messaging is deeply integraded with manilla. Or developers don't care about removing this stuff completly since HTC Messaging is simply slow.

first you have not identified what ROM you are using. so difficult to help you.
it not depends on ROM. HTC messaging is slow and buggy on all roms.
But try to help with 6.5.1 ROM + Manilla 2.5

well i tried almost all roms here! but when htc messaging have more than 20 msg it is going to slow the device , it is not that HD is slow or weak , if you look on LEO forum you see people have problem already! so htc messaging is buggy and it is useless, but when I disable it using zenyee patch all the shourtcuts in ex. dialer all people contacts that have send text mesasage function also broken. so all people shouyld be disabled and WM OEM contact should handle the things! thats why i want to disable all people! -- I think it has something to do with registry! --
no body know the solution? I just want to disable HTC People on manila 2.5 and everywhere in windows so it is like it was never there!
no one has found a solution?
pls....
thank you..
bump for a solution!
I'm with you.
remove HTC messaging completly out from the system.
pleease
+1 here. "Send Message" just doesn't work anymore..
+1 no manila sms and no manila contacts
+1.
manila integration is slow and crashes.
Hello, I've disabled HTC Messaging app, because it was no good for sending texts, but it seems that I have to give up on MMS as well. There is no MMS account to be set up in the original messaging application.
I managed to have the MMS set up before I disabled the HTC Messaging. Now I'm only receiving SMS containing text of the MMS instead of the actual MMS with all content. With threaded messaging enabled, I can see a generic picture icon/symbol next to the text, but not the content itself. With threaded SMS disabled, it acts as an ordinary text message (no symbols).
So the question is - is there a way on how to work (send/receive/view) with MMS without having to use HTC messaging for SMS? Thanks.
I have this issue too - if you disable HTC's SMS app (so you can actually reliably send/ receive messages) then how you enabled MMS under the default built in app?
me too need this
try to install this and softreset

cool - this app together with disabled HTC messaging and disabled SMS threading puts me back in game
tested composing, sending and receiving - so far all seems to be working.
EDIT: it actually installs version 5_0_20_16 (but it works).

Do you know of a tweak in registry to bring up WM messaging when tapping on a message in Manila message tab?
Is there anyone know how can i disable HTC Messages in reg, i would like to use original one from windows... thx @[email protected]
You will have no MMS capability if you disable HTC messaging, otherwise I'd do it myself. Search the SMS thread, there is a method to get the Windows messaging back.

That is incorrect; you can still have MMS - only you need to input in the settings ( get it from your telco ).
The only way to do this is disabling the htc messaging client but then i loose the ability to send mms!
Any other way?
Thanks!!

you can use arcsoft mms....next time it would help us help you more if you would post more information like what device you are cooking for, ect.
mmm I guess he is referring at the new User experience in 6.5.X that when a sms comes it dont takes you to the threaded conversation when tap on reply... in fact it takes you to a single sms mode of review
I dont know how to come back to old style but maybe that is intended to stay as is cause its one of the goals from Microsoft to be like that... cheers

I want to return to the message view as it was in my omnia i900 (microsoft style) without htc message menu and htc background in messages.
I succeded this by deleting htc messaging client but then i dont have mms option then.
I googled and i see there are many people with the same issue.
When you disable htc message style and return to microsoft message style you loose the mms option.
Any ideas?
Thank you both for your answers.!!
Microsoft does not support MMS , for that you need messaging Client Arcsoft as TPC said.

I dont think thats what "threaded" is supposed to mean...
I always thought threaded is for Conversation mode in Outlook which displays all related emails as one "conversation" ... How can the email address not coming on Replies be related ...

Yeah as Sanjeev has said, "Conversation mode in Outlook" is threaded email, the bug your referring to isn't threaded email
Since I don't know how to fix it, I've already asked in Chef Central (no replies as yet ).

They aren't trying to "find word mistakes," they're trying to help. Threading and your reply-to issue aren't related, and the title of this thread is Threaded Email Problem, so somebody had to say it.

ps: I have another problem in manila, when I try to import sim contacts from manila it seems it is importing contacts but at the end of process any contacts cant be imported.however when I try to import from sim manager it really works well and all contacts are imported to phone. can the reason be a registry fault? or something else? because it looks a link between manila and simmanager is broken
