The iPhone has an app called Been Verified, which kind of does a background check on people and such. They have a website also but the iphone app I am told is free while the site isn't(?). http://www.beenverified.com/
I want to know if there is something similar for Android, or if someone can develop a similar app for Android devices. Thank you.

Ok, I am new to forums all together. If I am doing something wrong like posting in the wrong area or using the wrong labels or whatnot, please tell me.
I am requesting an app for windows mobile that allows me to play epic pet wars, the facebook app. from my phone.
If you have a link to an already made application that would be wonderful, too! =]
Well I love this site, I come to it regularly for downloads. Just thought I would say thank you! =]

it's not an app specifically for that,
but you could probably use skyfire to play that app.
I was using it while I was at work to play mobsters back in the day.
just got my confirmation from google, app inventor is up and running! i think it would be a good idea to maybe get a thread goin for everything app inventor/a help page for using it. just a thought
Dear Google,

I'll give you a cookie.

I go one, I tried it, turns out I still fail :')
I got mine a couple of weeks ago. It will definitely take some learning on my part. Fun though. It would be nice to have a thread for tips and tricks. I wrote a little about it on my blog, link below in my signature.
I signed up for it a couple weeks ago. Do I have to be a registered developer in order to receive the invitation?
Got my invite too.
I didn't get my invite but I am able to get in and create projects.

Wrong... but nice try.
I simply was logged into my Google account and went to the app inventor page there was a my projects link on the top. I clicked it, I was able to access app inventor. As a word of caution make sure you have the app inventor extras installed prior to trying to use the blocks, it can / will be kind of screwy if you don't.
Now we'll need a new section on XDA..

lolz. has anyone actually successfully made an app using this?
Made the tutorial hellopurr app in about 5 minutes...the install was about 4mb though
I'm able to log in with out an invite too. Cool!
I've made some little things with it.
I need it to be able to parse RSS, or at least XML, before I'm able to implement any of my actual wanted-app ideas with it, though.

I don't know, I think it does have SOME potential. Believe it or not, there are people like me out there with VERY limited java experience that have some neat app ideas. I'm looking forward to seeing what I can do with the inventor.
I do agree that everybody and their mother will probably be making the stupid "click the cat to hear a purr" app knockoff .
There should be a marketplace filter for app inventor apps so you know what you're signing up for haha

Got my invite as well. Give it a whirl tomorrow while I need to pass some time.
My company is starting new customer relationships site and we would like to add an android application for it... Something like XDA dev app for android.... Can someone help me started with this?
Every link, guide or advice is welcome...
thanks in advance
Sure, HIRE ME! LOL
Seriously, I'm not sure what they need. Sounds just like a redesign of their current site to something that fits a smaller screen. How was the original site designed..in-house or outside contractor?
I see a future with a lot of domain names like "googlem.com" or "googlemobile.com"
actually, we need exactly what xda have here... home page with some news, and forum with controled access... it will be our first (out of many) android application and no one in company have experience with mobile developement...
Hi martin, I'm not really sure, what do You need? Web page, or app that supports your forum, or forum like this one, and app for that forum...
well, i have website like this and forum like this (both under construction currently) and i need guide how to start building app for site and forum... something like this...
http://www.xda-developers.com/xda-android-app/
Why don't you just use app Tapatalk? Almost identical to the xda app. I feel sure one is a clone of the other. I just don't know which one came first.

I restored my phone and did not make a backup of team black hat. Can someone help me out?
How do we know you really did buy it? Not being a **** just how do we know you don't want to pirate? They said they were getting a new site set up and will be sending out an email to everyone who bought it in the near future.

I don't know how to prove it to you but I did.
well, don't suppose you bought it from the market? If so, should say "purchased" allowing you to redownload it for free.
I believe all markets have a similar function.
Where would you have bought it from?

Yes from the market. Once it was removed it is not shown in the list of purchased apps.

Now can you honestly say that you have paid for every single app that you have that was not free and if you do not know how to pirate apps you wouldn't if you knew how? If you have, I apologize and please ignore the rest of this. I believe the mentality for most of us here is that if we don't have to pay for something we wont pay for it. If I had the app or a way to get it for free, I would gladly provide it for OP. However the tbh app is quite hard to find and I wish the best of luck to him. And if any of you have it, why be selfish and not share it? Because you actually paid for it? What if every dev required everyone to pay for their rom? Where would this community be then?

Are you serious right now? Dude, it's one thing to share FREE stuff to everyone in the community, but everything in what you just said is not cool. Developers spend lots of their free time working hard for **** on here, and if they want to charge for it on the Android Market legally, you shouldn't be ripping them off in any way, just like you woudn't go into a Best Buy and take a TV off the wall. I believe your mentality doesn't match up with "most of us here" as it's a 'criminal' mentality. XDA doesn't condone piracy of ANYTHING, so I would watch what you do if I were you.
If an app is paid, then obtaining it anywhere but from the market or the developer is considered warez and, therefore, against the rules. Contact TBH about the app. This thread is closed.
Hi,
I am wondering if there is any developer out there who is sympathetic to the Occupy movement, and would like to design an Android app for one of the Occupy locations. Ideally it would collate posts from Facebook, Twitter, and the website, maybe in three screens that you can swipe between (kind of ICS style if you know what I mean?).
If anyone's interested or knows anyone who might be then please PM me
Thanks in advance
Rediculous
Try Googling "dump.apk"
You're better off asking on Reddit.
Sent from my Triumph using XDA App
the occupy wallstreet movement FOR PRO BONO HELp? i don't think anyone would really do it much less get credit by ows

I think George Soros can help. He can handle all the brownshirt code.
Maybe you're better off having a mobile website setup for this kind of stuff instead of an Android app (that only works with android, instead of iOS, BB, Windows Mobile..etc).

Aren't you lot getting tired of everyone else doing everything for you?
It's called specialization, we do what we're good at, no need to go back to ancient times & relearn everything. It's how modern societies work, welcome.

Oh right, learning. You say 'we do what we're good at' - that's what, protesting? I can't tell if you're being sardonic, parodying a stereotype. Like going back to ancient times to learn how to write an Android app. Welcome?
This site is for active development. Which means it is a tool to help you learn to do these things on your own. Not ask others to do it for you.
