HTC Twitter Tab - Is there a cab? - Touch Pro2, Tilt 2 Themes and Apps

I really like the HTC Twitter tab. I am not sure how tabs work but is there a cab that can be extracted to install. I am running Manila 2.1 and want it as a regular app to run, i don't want it as a tab as I see that can't be done in Manila 2.1.

I'd be interested in this too!

if your talking about peep from the HD2 then NO........

it has been repeated many times
THIS CANNOT BE DONE.
just install a 2.5 rom and disable all the other new tabs, that way you still have your old tabs and also the twitter one

Active Calendar Tab from TF3D2

Hi all,
I was wondering if the active calendar tab from the new ported tf3d2 from rhodium, was already ported for diamond. I know the complete tf3d2 package is ported to diamond, but i was more wondering about that tab only.
bump, anyone?
That's not possible since the Calendar tab is using some new code which isn't present in the "old" Diamond's Manila!
If you want the new Calendar tab, use the whole new Manila!

But to use a whole new manila, you have to use a cooked rom, because you can't remove old manila from stock rom? And to use a cooked rom, you have to learn everything about radio, and other geeky stuff. And than you spend hours, days and even weeks on learning all the technical stuff, just to get a calendar tab... I'm also looking for the magical cab that will ad a live calendar tab to my stock diamond manila. But looks like that wil never happen...
I think you can simply install a new manila over the old one using a cab, i did this many times. Just disable the old manila and install.

I did that, but than it took all the space on my phone, so I couldn't do anything on it withouth getting the message that phone is full and I have to delete some files. Even after a fresh hard reset, tried to install VGA port of Rhodium, and it just installs on top of the old one, but aparently keeps the old files as well, so after I install manila, I have like 1 mb of free space and all the anoying errors of full phone. Maybe I'm doing something wrong? Which cab did you use?

[REQ] HTC Twitter cab for Manila 2.1

Manila 2.5 includes the HTC Twitter tab which is very handy for twittering. However, I prefer the Manila 2.1 Homescreen rather than the Manila 2.5 Homescreen.
Is there an HTC Twitter cab available that can be installed onto Manila 2.1?
I've been searching also but could not find anything
I'm also intrested for that cab-file
Have been using Twitter a my Blackstone with XannyTech rom EVO1.2 (of course Manila 2.5) ... and that was working fine.
btw, you can also use TWIKINI , it has no tab on the manila 2.1 interface ... have to install it as a standalone program.
http://www.trinketsoftware.com/twikini/
Try moTweets instead of Twikini:
http://www.panoramicsoft.com/mobileapps/motweets/moTweets.php
It's super-cheap and got really AWESOME interface! You'll love it... ^^
It got integrated, system-level notification and all feature mentioned in Twikini, BUT WITH SUPER-NICE INTERFACES.... ^^
+1 on motweets. i too really nj0y the 2.5 twitter tab tho. cant wait for some VGA features to be ironed out.

(REQ) Extract HTC Peep as a CAB?

Hello people,
As we all know, hd2 or Manila 2.5 comes with a twitter tab which allows users to view their tweets and update your status. I am wondering if anyone would be able to extract this htc peep application so that we would be able to use it with manila 2.1 and other versions of manila. I really like the usability of the htc peep as compared to many other twitter apps on the market today.
Also, i think it is possible to extract the htc peep as the htc ebook reader has also been extracted from the manila 2.5!
Thank you!
Bertrand Tan
I second the request. Also would this be usable in any other WinMo device running 6.1 (or higher?) Let's say a Palm Treo Pro...?
any update?

Transparent stuff and videos

I just got my HTC Touch Pro 2 2 months ago, and it came with Mobile 6.5. Ever since, I've been screwing with it, and I just landed on this forum as well as some other sites. I'm seeing people using words like TF3D, Manila, Sense, etc, which I have no idea what they are.
I'm just trying to figure out how to make my clock transparent, background on all pages and play divx/xvid videos. I found a 9 page long BG for all pages thread, and I found a cab that worked to make all pages the wallpaper, but it messed up my clock in the process. The accompanying cab to restore the clock didn't work. The screenshot of the clock is attached to this post.
I noticed no divx/xvid capability in WMP just like the Windows for Desktops, but it seems like getting those videos to play was more complicated than I thought. I tried the divx player which is just slow. Can someone guide a newbie around?
The easiest way...
Deleted as the post did not apply to Sense 2.1
He isn't using manila 2.5.
Sense/manila are the same thing, it's just that older versions of manila were called the TouchFlo (TF3D) and the newest builds which are manila 2.1 and manila 2.5 are also referred to as sense 2.1 and sense 2.5. How you can tell which you have is going on the settings tab and looking at the "About" (or something lol sorry) and it should say. Another way is seeing as how you don't have any shortcut buttons on your Home tab means 2.1 .
Sorry I can't help you with your clock issue, try looking up "sense 2.1 clock" and try installing one but keep in mine the details as to what else will be installed along side the clock .
Get TCPMP for playing videos. It won't play everything, but is far better then WMP. Best player around for the TP2.

If the cab you installed messed up your clock, try uninstalling the cab.
Got transparent clock and BG on all pages working for 2.1, using the 3 cabs I've attached.
Only things left I'm working on are 1% battery meter and the 1:02 clock flip fix. I found a clock cab I'll install now. The battery meter I heard requires custom taskbars to show it? Just gotta dig around more to find out which ones will work.

be careful about what you try to use! check your manila version. most of cookies stuff is for 2.5, as well as most of the stuff on here and it can bite you if your not careful(had to do several hard resets when i got mine because i did't read) i got my phone in feb. but it still has 2.1 so unless your ready to flash a rom to upgrade, store all of your cabs on your storage card to save yourself some headaches.
Sorry about that. I didn't realize you were using Sense 2.1. Hopefully no damage done.

No worries. Still learning about this stuff myself. Working on getting stuff off my ipod and onto my phone but I have a handful of DRM protected things. That's a bit more complicated than I thought. Once I can work around that, get my usb -> headset adapter and a fm transmitter, I'll have succeeded in combining my Samsung Gravity, iPod Nano, and iPod Touch into one device: HTC Touch Pro 2.

[Q] Help with a Facebook Tab

I am looking for help with finding a way of putting a facebook tab on my touchflo 3d. im not very smart when it comes to this stuff and was hopeing someone could help me find a cab file to install that would give me a facebook tab, any help would be greatly apprecated. thanks
FYI: It's not called "TouchFlo3D" anymore, HTC changed the name to "Sense UI".
Here is the link to the developers page: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=651007
Download the "meltwater HTC FbTab v1.6.cab"
The info on there can be kind of confusing so I put together a VERY simplified "how to guide.:
1.Disable Sense from Today items.
2.Install CAB (this will create a shortcut to "FixStartManila" in your Start Menu)
3.Tap "FixStartManila" to run it. It will likely seem like nothing happened.
4.Tap "FixStartManila" a second time. This time, you will likely see the wait cursor, it might take awhile, wait til it's done.
5.Re-enable Sense in Today items.
6.Done!

Touch Flo3D and Sense are two different UI's. If he is using TF3D and not Sense, then he cannot install the Facebook tab as it is only for Sense users with a manila core of at least 2.5.192x with a patch.
TouchFlo3D is sometimes considered Sense 2.1. It is generally accepted on XDA (to avoid any confusion to new members) that TF3D and Sense are the versions 2.1 and 2.5 respectively.
Sorry. I thought they renamed "TouchFlo3D" to "Sense UI" when they introduced the Pro2. So you're saying when the "original" Pro2 came out with manila 2.1 (WinMo 6.1) it was still called "TouchFlo3D"?

Correct. It has been called Touch Flo3D as long as I can remember. It was originally just manila, then Touch Flo, or Touch Flo2D, and then Touch Flo3D was introduced on the Touch Pro2. Sense came shortly thereafter. Some people refer to Touch Flo3D as Sense2.1, and that is also correct. It is just important to note which version of Sense (or TF3D) you are using. Sense 2.5 programs and applications are not compatible with Sense 2.1 (TF3D). Whereas most, but not all Sense 2.1 (TF3D) programs and apps are compatible with Sense 2.5.
Hopefully this makes "sense" and clears things up for you.
