Hey there. My phone seems to be stuck on the exclamation point screen.
I downloaded the latest pre-kitchen to root, but I made the mistake of clicking to create a Nandroid backup before I rooted. As soon as the phone rebooted my PC automatically installed a new USB driver for the device (no idea why), and now it doesn't show up as a mounted drive or in HTC sync. I'm looking at the exclamation point, and it's still hooked up to the computer, but I'm not really sure what to do next to regain control.
Help?
pull your battery and try to restart the phone normally, you should be fine.
Thanks... just finished doing that. Rooted successfully. I appreciate the help.

I tried searching thoroughly, but nothing matched my problem and no solution worked. I hope someone out there can help me with this:
My vibrant had TMO's Froyo with Team Whiskey's Bionix V and Dragon voodoo OC v3.1 kernel
I used clockwork 2.5.1.3 to flash Bionix V 1.2 with voodoo.
I didnt disable voodoo (first time i ever did that, being told that I didnt need to by friends and numerous forums.)
Phone rebooted, showing Dragon's logo, then a strange split-second blip occured and I was back into clockwork red. I tried rebooting and the same thing happened.
Now, my phone reboots only into clockworkmod red (can still access clockwork green by "apply sdcard:update.zip").
Cannot odin because usb is no longer working for some reason (which means I cannot adb either).
I can only access download mode through clockwork 2.5.1.3 (advanced ->Reboot to Download Mode).
when I plug in to recharge, it shows the battery with the loading circle in the center, then the phone reboots to cwm red.
After getting frustrated, I foolishly started applyig all wipes and attempted to install all zip files i had. all files say E:cant mount yadda yadda.
I'm at a total loss. I dont think I bricked because the phone turns on and I can access red and green clockwork.
Please, someone help...I dont wanna throw the phone from the roof only to get a hardware locked one from TMO's warranty, lol.

You should be able to Odin..try these steps
Remove battery and put it back in (to make sure phone is powered off)
Disconnect USB from phone and Open Odin
While holding both Volume buttons...insert USB back into phone
Phone should boot into Download mode
Odin that sh*t
I did all that, i dont get the COMM port in Odin, so I did "adb devices", and got "list of devices attached" with no list. When I insert the USB cable, I dont even hear the usual windows tone acknowledging the new device. This leads me to believe that the USB on the phone is not working. tried it with 2 different cables on 2 different phones using all USB ports.

do you have the correct drivers? try installing the drivers from this thread
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=728929
and try again
I've used odin in mid Jan, so I know the drivers are up to date.
Here's what will freak you out even more. if I remove the battery while the phone is plugged in (to the wall or to the computer), the phone shuts off. BUT, if the phone is off with the battery in and I plug the phone (again, to wall or comp), the battery indicator with loading circle shows up. before I know how much battery I have left, the phone automatically boots into red cwm without me touching anything. I can post a video on youtube if it will help at all.

i see
did you make a Nandroid prior to flashing??
I did, but I get:
E: Can't mount /dev/block/mmcblk0p1 (or /dev/bloc
k/mmcblk0)
(Device or resource busy)
Can't mount /sdcard
Do you think I royally screwed my phone?

No not really

Getting Odin to work is your best bet
you say the phone can go into download mode...but if Odin can't recognize it then there's 1 of 2 things goin on:
1. The correct drivers are not installed
2. You arent using the up-to-date Odin
Odin is the way to go, I used odin and got the stock vibrant files from google, it is not a rom its the original stock vibrant files
Sent from my SGH-T959 using XDA App
Ok,
reinstalling driver v1.3.450.0 from the link you sent me.
using Odin 1.7
Its not that odin cant recognize, its that the usb appears to not be working except to show the empty battery with the loading circle. I'll try again, and make a video so you can see whats going on.
Try rebooting your computer also. Sometimes when my computer will not connect to my phone a reboot fixes the problem.
Just to re-itterate.
After you have re-installed drivers, reboot your PC.
Then open Odin up.
Then pull your battery on you phone, put it back in, hold only the volume buttons and plug the usb cable in. (Just in case, take out SD CARD and SIM card, older version of odin didn't like those being in either)
Load PIT and JFD stock rom.
Flash.
Double check the following.
You need to make sure ODIN is already up and running first. Also make sure that you are not using a USB extender or HUB as odin often does not like those. If you are using a desktop, plug the cable directly into the USB port in the back of the PC.
If you are using a LT, try different ports as not all USB ports provide full power on all laptops.
The PC reboot is important. I have seen ADB get stuck in the background and nothing works right. Let us know how it goes.
I can tell you that you are not completely bricked. As long as you are getting into CWM you are still ok.
So after reading and trying how others on here fixed that very same problem I deiced its time to make a post and ask for help because those other methods did not work.
Ok I did something stupid and I went ahead and did a factory reset to my kindle. Yes I know it was a complete noob thing to do and I should have known better seeing that I have rooted and flashed ROMs on all my other android devices and never once did something that dumb but I did it this time. Now I do have a back up made and had it safely stored on my PC.
Problem is that I can't get into recovery it stuck on the FFF logo and holding down the button only brings it back up. When the device restarts windows recognizes it as an unknown usb device and won't connect and Adb also wont recognize the device or show that it is connected. So now I need to ask someone who is more knowledgeable then me on what to do next. Any help will be appreciated
Ok update: Was able to solve my own problem using the Kindle fire utility and by uninstalling the drive for the kindle through the device manager, then using the drive install_drivers.bat in the KFU folder to reinstall the drivers. I next unplugged my kindle from the pc, turned it off by holding the button on the kindle in and then restarted it with the usb plugged into the pc. My Pc recognized my kindle and I was then able to use KFUs Bootmode menu and once in there used option 1. to boot it in normal mode. Hope this helps anyone who was stuck like I was. My memory of which adb commands to use was a bit rusty but using the KFU helped with that part.
Hi,
I wiped my current rom in TWRP and something went wrong with the rom I was trying to install so I have a phone without an OS now (LG G2 802). Now I am stuck in TWRP. The backup for the phone is on my laptop but I cant seem to get my laptop to recognise the phone any more.
When I connect my phone to the laptop via USB it shows up in the device manager but with an exclamation mark. I've tried pointing to the LG folder under program files for the drives but for some reason they dont work and the device is still showing up with the yellow exclamation mark in the device manager. These drivers were working before this happened (I've connected the same phone to my laptop quite a few time before, including using ADB to root it earlier) so I don't know why this is happening.
Any help would be appreciated, I am completely lost right now.
Thanks...
You can use an otg cable with a thumb drive too.. The driver for this is under Google, see if you can find it. There was a guide somewhere but I've lost the location :/
*edit* FOUND IT

Got around it...phew!!
As it turned out I had a few issue, for anyone else in the same boat here is what I did to get my phone back up.
First, I cant thank Koush enough for his amazing work, after installing his universal adb drivers the laptop started recognizing the phone immediately (as to why it didnt with the official drivers, I have no idea).
The drives can be found here: http://koush.com/post/universal-adb-driver
Once the phone was recognized by the laptop I knew I had some hope, I tried to adb sideload a few roms but kept getting error messages. I looked up TWRP for the latest version 2.7 and updated to that from 2.6.3.2 and the Roms started working immediately. Now I am happily running the PAC KK rom (which by the way looks fantastic).
Hope this helps anyone else who is in the same boat.
Regards,
Tariq
I have been using the stock 4.4.4 for a while with some occasional crashes and reboots in Skype. Then one day, when I turned on my device, the boot loop struck out of the blue! I had only installed some apps, nothing ROM related was changed.
I need some expert help with recovering my user files (some images in non standard folders, game saves etc..)
Symptoms:
*The device is stuck at the circle logo and won't boot up.
*The boot loader is unlocked, USB debugging is enabled and the device was rooted before with version 4.2, upgraded to stock after that at least twice and lost root.
*When connected to PC, auto driver loading fails with MTP but I hear a USB connection sound when I turn on and off the phone. Although, the device is not recognized in "My computer". I see an "Android Device" and/or "android bootloader interface" in Device Manager.
What I tried:
*Tried wugfresh's toolkit and re-installed all google drivers but when I run adb/fasboot commands from within the toolkit, my device is not listed in either list. I get a blank list of devices.
* I can get to the recovery mode in stock boot loader after the "No data" screen and tried wiping user cache, did no good.
What I would like to achieve:
* Ideally I would like to be able to boot into the system without losing any user data and run my backup app and/or connect via USB to backup files on PC.
* If above wouldn't be possible, accessing files externally would also do as a last resort.
Any help is appreciated!
Thanks

Do you have clockwork mod installed?
You might be able to pull the important stuff over ADB when the phones in recovery
If ADB on your computer recognizes and can connect to your phone you can probably pull off the files
Try this: http://www.xda-developers.com/android/all-in-one-guide-to-adb/

Thanks for the suggestion. As a matter of fact, while waiting desperately for a reply here, I tried to flash TWRP recovery and managed to adb pull data and sdcard directories over to my PC. And then a factory reset brought my device back to life.
It's a bummer that all of my home screen settings and account settings are reset..
The question now is how to copy over the backup data back to the phone..
adb push will put them back, but your phone will probably mount normally and show up in 'My Computer' now so you could just do that.

I'm glad you were able to pull off the files from the phone.
You can use the adb push command to put the data back into the phone
Try this : adb push /path/to/local/file /mnt/sdcard/path/to/file
or
adb -s [yourdeviceserialnumberhere] push /system/[whateverdirectory]
You can check out this too : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2167651
The post clearly explains multiple adb commands
Hope it helps!

Obviously people are reading this. We don't know what to say, probably because most of us suspect the phone's fall broke something. If the fall did *not* break something in the phone, maybe using TWRP to attempt flashing a rom will work. Do you have TWRP installed? If not, use your computer (and Odin) to do so. Make sure to REBOOT IMMEDIATELY to recovery (TWRP, that is). Unplug phone from computer, replug phone into computer again. It should be recognized. Copy a rom of your choosing to the "download" directory on the phone. Then "factory wipe" the phone. (Do NOT wipe "internal storage"). Flash the rom (and gapps if this is a custom rom). Reboot. And here's hoping it works!
How can i install or go custom recovery After successful flash its not show adb or oneplus device not boot on,no bootloader, not show anything.dear

But flash was not successful. Is the phone showing any sign of life? Charging icon on screen when cable is plugged in? Anything? I fear you have broken it.
No sign of life only heating when connected to charger or USB in computer only show Qualcomm port 9008 in pc when I press both volumes+power button
