Has anyone got a 2.1 version for the device. i got it working with cyanos link but looks funny since not resizing
Yeah, a new version of the HTC keyboard would be nice. I bet we won't see it until HTC releases a device with 800x480 resolution and sense UI though. Unless someone actually takes it and reworks it themselves.

Works fine on mine. Cyanogen has the apk's on his site. You need to install Clicker.apk then HTC_IME.apk.
i grabbed it from manups eclair it works perfectly
i found doesn't work so well in landscape

tested. keyboard is pixelated (ugly) and landscape mode does not work good (leaves white blank space on the right to make up the difference on bigger screen). uninstalled.

This is what I installed. Didn't install the clicker though.
It's pixelated. Shapewriter beats t9 to a bloddy pulp on portrait mode though.

I have found a working version of HtC Home for VGA Devices. It has 6 Tabs and all is working. And it does work with HHC so you can easy change the icons clocks and so one.
So now doe some vga themes for the diamond. MAybe we can get the weather animated in Htc Home. I also search for a way to get this version in german!

OK, but...
This seems to work fine as advertised. However, the method used to scale to VGA has broken the wallpaper functionality of the homepage.
Any wallpaper set gets squished out double width, and looks pretty poor.
That said, HTC Home VGA on a diamond, with a black theme and black background looks pretty cool.

On my diamond is half-sized and too small... why? (i used it with second today)
PS: oh and i can't change theme, it's allways the same like the screenshot

I didnt know everyone was looking for a HTC Home. I had this since July. Everything works fine including weather, just doesnt have a player. proper sized, plus changing themes all no problems.

Now it runs on my diamond. just did a reset and it works now. But when i change a theme it looks not so good. the themes from hhc are just to small. Who do you get your themes an how do you install them?

sounds like u are using QVGA themes. download VGA themes instead

youtube is working great and some other video site or flash site. However, it doesn't connect when i use edge but it's working fine with wifi.
I've heard that people are stuck on "Locating" when you're not from the US
im in the uk and it runs fine except for youtube doesnt give me any sound.
anyone have this working with orb... i get an error downloading the stream file, any help would be great, im kind of tired always needing 2 browsers to get the content i want from the web

Did you relly opened "get.skyfire.com" in PocketIE?
Opened with IE 6, gettin the "Locating.."
I installed the latest version on my Diamond but to be honest I am not too impressed by the resolution.
Is there a setting that enables vga mode? All the fonts and images look stretched as if it were QVGA, anyone else got this problem?
I think I might give this a try. Just wondering if anyone had any opinions when comparing it to Opera???

Opera is FAR better as an everyday browser in my opinion.
I can see Skyfire being useful though, especially if browsing websites that have a lot of streaming media and flash. It's also quite good if you use sites like digg/reddit.
Facebook sucked and the homepage didn't render as it would on a PC so that was dissapointing, but I visit facebook using the iphone.facebook.com URL via Opera and that's quite good.
The application is supported by VGA devices like the Diamond, however, it certainly isn't optimised for VGA, as you will notice when you install and run it. The buttons look stretched, fonts don't look right and when zoomed out it looks quite pixelly
It's a good concept, however I feel that Skyfire has a way to go before it can compete with more stable browsers like Opera which is far more practical.

Just tried it and with this version I could not get any audio on Last.FM, anyone else got an audio bug? I'll soft reset and try playing with it a bit more.

yeah I contact them regarding the LG Incite (same res as Omnia) and they sent me a canned response indicating that 240X400 is not supported. It would have been nice if they at least said something about possible future support. At least Opera works.
anyone know how to get scrolling working with this? I have ftouchsl installed on my trinity and scrolling works great with opera but doesnt work at all with skyfire.... it doesn't support scrolling?
It supports native scrolling, maybe you should add skyfire to Ftouchflo exceptions (there may be a conflict).
Piggybacking off of jug6ernaut's "New Facebook App" thread. Here's a cab for the Netflix app from the 21169 WM6.5 ROM brought to us by Da_G.
Unlike the Facebook app, I don't think this one will work for QVGA since it didn't work on my StarTrek.

That's wierd. I haven't switched back to Lantis OS yet (still on WM6.5) but I'll see if there's anything I can do. If anyone wants the raw files to try on their own, I'll post them up.

I have found a version of the panoramic desktop mod for touchflo3d2 but i found it in the xperia forums and it has some issues with the rhodum touchflo.

To fix third pic issue combine the three pics you wanna use into to one large 1536x512 photo. Scale down to 1200 x 512. Copy the image and open a new file with the scale 1536x512. Paste the 1200x512 copy into the 1536x512 new file. Then follow the directions by cutting it into three 512x512 pieces. The third 512x512 piece will be most while but this doesnt matter because the white portion will be cut off and you'll only see the part of the image that matches the other two pieces.
