I couldn't find another thread for this problem, then again I found it hard to find words to describe the problem so I'm just gonna go ahead and post a screen shot
Anyone else come across this and/or have a fix?
Thanks!

For some reason the picture wasn't displaying in my first post above so here it is! As you can see the new mail number in the green circle is covered by the square slider... the speech bubble was however added by me to brighten up your day.
Friendly bump
All I can say is that that's obviously not standard behaviour.
Have you installed many theme mods?
What extra software have you installed on the device? I don't recognise the 2 icons on the top right as being standard (well, not for me). I'm guessing that the horizontal stretching in the image is not representative of your device? On my HD2 the envelope is more square. Does this happen on all you email account icons? I see you have 3 accounts.
Regards.
thanks for the response guys. to start off with, the ROM i have is 2.01, and i found the download link for it buried somewhere in the 2.01 ROM thread right here in these forums. i didn't know it at the time but it was a cooked rom as the top right icon in the status is actually a task manager drop down menu that has been there since i installed the rom, as well as some other programmes that are not stock.
however to my memory this graphical anomaly shown above was not present from the beginning... yes, it happens to all of the email accounts.
In terms of theme mods i did install HDwall but then uninstalled it as i stupidly didn't realise that it didn't work properly with manila 1922 (if i recall). i made the same mistake with max manila and also uninstalled that. my biggest problems came after trying out dome bg4alltabs mods and 16/20 quicklink shortcut mods, which i should point out that i had trouble completely uninstalling, though they no longer appear in the application list. i believe that the 20 quicklinks mod graphically messed up my home screen by removing all the quicklinks (not even the outlines remained) and causing an ugly grey box to appear on the.home screen which covered part of theleft handside of the clock...?
i can't be bothered to hard reset over this at the moment... i guess one way to perhaps solve it would be if some of you guys kindly posted the relevant stock registry entries on here that are relevant to the problem or indeed relevant to those theme mods that have been uninstalled, as maybe there are still remnants of them left.
however i realise this is near impossible for any one to know the ins and outs of the registry entries that well, at least that's what i feel in my inexperience, so if not then no worries, i can only thank you for your time which i will do gladly

Hey guys,
Would anyone mind telling me what vp3G_PTT_Reassign.zip is and how to use it? I've looked for info on it but came up short... I even installed it and though ohh what the heck; my comm manager button (top left) doesn't work anymore...
Also, I'd like to know how you get the shiny numbers on the clock? The ones that are real bright...?
Last, how do we get the battery status bar (HTC Home plugin) to be on top of the today screen and not on the bottom? It's annoying to have to scroll down all the time. ;P
This is the picture of what it is supposed to look like. (Unfortunately, my batt status bar is on the bottom.)

Thanx,
Phil
I believe the yellow section is the freeware "BatteryStatus" plugin, the green section is the HTC Home plugin (Free for WM6 users, but can easily be found somewhere in this bulletin board, and easily modified with this), and the blue includes the WM default lock/unlock today plugin and the "system tray" for WM. The only question is whether this is actually running WM6 or if it's being skinned by Wisbar Advance, which is pay-for software ($10 USD).
Anything else?
about the battery status bar...
Nice move Myr,
I hadn't thought about that! Putting them in different color squares makes it a whole lot easier to explain!
You see, the yellow square is a the bottom, that is until yesterday! I opened my phone today, and now it's somewhere in the middle. but I still would like to have it on top like it is displayed on the image (mind you, the image I put on this post is the picture of what it's supposed to look like, not the way it shows on my phone...).
Now that you've boxed everything, in the green square your clock is bright, your icons right under are colorful and you have different color icons below that... I've wracked my brain to figure it out with no luck! I must be crazy 'cause it looks like the answer is right in front of me... I guess I'm "blind"! I'll read the link in just a sec... I'll let you know.
Phil
No luck there...
I guess some things are to be left untouched!
I tried the plugin. Unfortunately, the "file are not found" so it cannot continue its application. What next?
Phil
About your plugin...
Like I said before, it doesn't work...
But now it says something else; "Cannot detect Home plugin, defaulting to v1.5 settings"...
Any idea what thaqt means???
Phil
Like the title says - is there any way or some small utility to apply background image for top and/or bottom bars? (I know You can't make them simply transparent).
I have tried Wisbar, rlToday etc, they are all either doing too much on the side, consuming way too much memory or just buggy. I've also searched this forum but as the bars have too many names (top bar, taskbar, menu bar, start bar etc.) I've come up with nothing really...
What I would like to achieve is something like this (image from ultimatelaunch.de):
{

"lightbox_next": "Next",

}
Please help.
i asked that before
it is another tool by the ultimate launch author called skinmobile:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=1916467&postcount=28
OK, thanks!!!
I'll look into it later (or tomorrow) as I don't have my device with me atm. But it sure seems what I am looking for considering what I have seen and that it's small
you can also use vijay555's todayToggle to remove either or both of them, and just show the background image.
who really needs the bottom bar anyway, if someone can't remember what the two (big number) launches are, what are they doing playing around with ppcs?
it's a tiny exe (9.5kb) that you can leave in your windows\startup folder.
Then edit the registry to choose the size, the exe basically shrinks the bars to 2pixels but you can choose any size you want
Okay, thanks for the tip!!!
By the way - I've seen screenshots of taskbars with icons representing running applications just like in normal desktop PC. Besides MagicButton and WKTask and maybe Wisbar (not sure), are there any other apps (small) or registry hacks that do this? It seems that all these applications address a multiple changes in the system, I am trying to locate utilities that do just that one little thing - show running application icons on taskbar (next to start button).
i use wktask and set it to do absolutely nothing except show the running tasks.
it does'nt seem to me that it slows down or causes any problems
OK, thanks for the tip! Gone try it that way.
By the way Skinmobile is buggy on my WM6, so that app kind of sucks...
yes its a bit buggy but you can edit the ini file and graphics and try a bit around. i had it running without any problems on wm6.1
Naah, I'll just leave it to that and wait for better apps. The "see-thru" effect isn't worth it, if its buggy. For me at least. The buggyness seems to appear when I click on any of the taskbar icons. Although I didn't do a soft reset after running the prog. Should have I done it? Would it change anything?

hey guys, the no top and no bottom curtains cabs work on my imagio. I also got the background all tabs cab that works in the imagio setup guideat ppc geeks. I don't know how to post these cabs or I would. hope this helps.
can you copy/paste links?
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=551614
here is the link for the background all tabs cab. be sure to download the manila 2.1 1919 cab. that's the one that I have working on my imagio. will look for link to the over cabs and try to post it also. hope this helps you.
I am dying for the no curtains cab. Badly.
My Imagio Has Manila 2.0.38937.1, I think. I got that version number by going to Settings, the scrolling to the bottom where it says "About".
Is that the place I need to be looking for my Manila version or is it somewhere else? How do I find my Manila version?

at0mangs tab modification works.
Enable all camera modes definitely worked on mine.
Edit: Nix that, it enables the display of the new camera modes but so far they all just cause the camera application to hang and require a soft reset to get the camera working again.
Ok I'm an admitted newb (Imagio is my 1st WinMo phone). I have 2 questions.
1. What are the "curtains" that "no curtains" removes.
2. I've seen several screenshots around here where people have customized the UI. (Different icons, skins, etc...) Do these kinds of tweaks require more resources than the stock UI? 'cause some of them look pretty cool.
Thanks
Curtains are the translucent background behind the carrier name at the top and the tab icons at the bottom in TouchFlo 3D.
As for the resources, for the most part any differences are inial, although I am sure there is a small impact, larger storage and so forth.
I have started playing with skinning parts of the Sense home screen. I have a question about the manila files that make up the flip clock. Normally the actual flip panel on both the left and right side are rendered from the same manila files, single down and single up. Is there anyway to make it so they work off of two sets of files? So that each the left and right side would have its own file sets. I want to be able to have a different picture file rendered to each side.
I take it that it would involve making two new manila files and all their dependencies. I can't say I can do that. Picture editing is easy but time consuming, actual code writing has never been my bag.
I have played with photoshop real quick to kind of show what I'm looking to do with one of my ideas. This one would involve making two more background(flip panel) files for stack up and stack down. I could make the actual(grey) background hold the flip clock frame work but then problems would arise if you were using Max Manila or a transparent background mod, etc, etc.

So the real question is how big can the pictures be made? Currently it's slightly bigger in size then the front panel of the flip clock. Could it be made to stretch across the screen?
So 90 views so far and nobody has an ideas as to how to even start this? I mean a link in the right direction or something.
Ok lets try to narrow this down. I'm guessing I can do something with Mode 9 editor. What I do not know is the scripting and dependencies. Is that taken care of in the editor or is that something else entirely different? How do I even start to produce a manila page from scratch?
I'm not looking for anybody to produce anything for me I will try my best to do it myself. It would be nice to get some help in the right direction though. I have done some searching on the subject but what I've found so far is not helping me in the directions I need.
I have found what I need of sorts. So I know how to open a manila file to edit the scripts to move things around and possibly size. This does not answer my question as to whether I can seperate the left and right sides and produce new files.
Hey bro.
Maybe rota may know how to do what you are wanting.
He is a Manila master.
As far as I know from my modding it can not be done.
Of course I am no master.
Ya I really don't want to bug anybody. I understand how it goes, you are busy doing your own thing the last thing you want is to be bothered with somebody else troubles. Even if I could just split up the stack panels(flip clock background) and have two different images that would be enough.
I got down the basics of HDWall but every time I create a new one it has a line along the bottom where the slider is. And I would like to get rid of the bar were the Operator logo is as well. What settings or steps do I need to do in HDwall to get rid of those?

Ok I figured out how to fix the issue. I tried a different patch and it seemed to work, I'll attach the one I used.

For the top bar look for a cab to remove the "top Curtin" that will remove the bar. Not sure about the line on the bottom
I love the wallpaper!
Have you installed the HDWalls HQ patch? I understand it's supposed to address the line at the bottom on the slider, among some other things. I think it's linked to in the HDWalls thread, or in one of the threads at the top of this section with all the useful links. I haven't gotten around to messing with HDWalls on the HD2 yet, so I can't say I've tested it, I just remember reading about it and remembering I needed to apply it.
EDIT: Also, would you mind sharing exactly what settings you chose in HDWalls that obviously work with your ROM?

I installed the patch that they say to install but it makes my background all black so I'm not sure if I did something wrong. And heres the cab for Lilith.
Ok Issue resolved.
