Can someone please post the reg edits or whatever it is that makes the Send Key Green and the End KEy Red like in the new Tmobile 6.5 Leaked. .....
Maybe I'm wrong, but I have a feeling that it's all about the LED color and not some wise settings.
So if you or some friend of yours are skilled enough to be able to change the white smd led-s with one green and one red, than you're done.
Here's the solution here:

Nice Solution. I've got the T-Mo ROM but I might try it anyways, see if it works better.
Umm, if a ROM can change the color of thee LEDs, then you definitely don't need markers or new LEDs. Unless TMO is using some special LEDs.
Ok let's just end this now. The T-Mo rom does not change the keys. my keys are still white.

Interesting. I wonder where their list of official changes comes from then...
Here are the possible answers.
1. They are Wrong.
2. I am wrong. (I will come back and eat crow if I am)
3. New phones sold with windows mobile 6.5 will have green and red lit buttons.
Yeah, I really don't know. I'm just interested.

I'm guessing that's it.
At the bottom of the list of changes, it says "Home Key change to Microsoft Flag." I don't know about you guys, but that would be a hardware change in the T-Mobile TP2 Home button (it's not like a ROM can change the picture on the hardware button).
So I guess the change to green/red colors will only occur for newly sold TP2s once the official ROM gets officially released.
I think the new ROM changes the answer/end TOUCH BUTTONS to green and red in the software. It's been so long since I used the 6.1 stock ROM, I don't remember what the default colors were.

Hello all. My first post on these great forums!
I have an odd issue with a branded HTC TyTn.
There is an icon in the Phone screen underneath the 'X' close button. It is like an eye with half an arrow pointing right.
I have attach a screenshot so you can take a look.
Any ideas what it could be at all?
Many thanks.
Could you please post:
When you bought it, the ROM version, OS version and date etc....
oh yeah, i had that as well. i have since upgraded to wm6. I wonder what it is.

see in the \windows directory if there is a file called "carrierlogo.gif", it's normally used 4 the logo of the carrier. If there isn't a pic, so you can start to thing something else.... Make an Hreset, on the first boot, reset the ppc, unhide the extended rom (no UNLOCK, so only reg keys needed) and launch 1 by 1 the cabs rebooting on every installation.
When you've identified the cab, then is possible to know something
Yo!
Like the topic says, is it possible too change the background color in the application folder? It's standard, and boring white now, and i want it black with white text. Is this possible?
Maybe with a small application or something?
So.. Do you understand the words that comes out of my mouth?

Thanx, but i don't understand it hehe..
I'm quite a n00b in Windows Mobile..
PS. i don't have a Windows computer either.. I'm using Mac, so f.ex, i can't use "Theme Creator" thingy.. So it must be done on the device, and not on a desktop computer.

id like to know how that works, if somebody tells i will format all the needable program icons with white border and inline shadow so it looks better this would be cool
I believe SKTOOLS (a ppc program that can manage quite a bit of settings) allows you to tweak your theme on the fly.... I do believe when you change the background color of that folder, it will change it for all folders... Completely unsure if this will work though due to the fact that I have never tried
try ui tweaker
With ui tweaker you can do this (sys colour change).
BUT I was not able to do a complete black n´white as the popup windows (notification of new sms, reminders....) still had a black font on a black backround and then i was unable to read :-(
The software is enclosed as well as my try of pure black - in case you hve a touchflo installed...The colour of the buttons have to be different from black then or touchflow will not work.
In case you manage to get a fully black theme working please send me the regfile from ui tweaker as I would be also interested.
Enclosed a screenshot wit my current solution - grey coloured
But you can also import the settings into uitweaker (allesok....sys) and try...

Hehe.. Yeah, i know
Isn't there a programmer out there who can make a app. witch is easy to use.. and stuff..?
Or(!) A creative soul out there who can make a nice colorscheme for UITweaker?
One more thing.. Is it possible to make a .tsk-file with a "total" black interface? Like henftling's colorscheme..?
It's quite dead here now..
*bump bump*
one of the problems with UITweaker is that it can be a bit vague which part of the system you are changing the colour of, and then you have to soft reset to check if it looks ok, if not then back into it, change back, soft reset again, back into UIT and try something else.
i want a kinda slate grey / black theme as well, but the ones already made out there are a bit messy and you end up with wrong colours here and there, not being able to read things or see notifications.
also i get the feeling that not every aspect of the UI is actually changable, at least in UIT anyways...
it would be great though, we have all these nice finger applications in black / grey and then they all cut back to the dull old Windows white when you want to do something proper.
when will Microsoft hire some graphic designers for a change instead of letting the boffins do it all?

I'm totally agree with you. UITweaker is anoying with the soft-reset crap all the time.. And yes, Microsoft should hire some new graphic-designers.
So.. i know that it exist many programers in this forum, and i don't think it will be that difficult to wright a app. that can change the background color and stuff..
So.. we just have too wait until a programer is reading this thread i guess.. hehe
"also i get the feeling that not every aspect of the UI is actually changable, at least in UIT anyways..."
I used to play with an application like this way back when I had my hp 2210, and the problem then was that not all of the colors of the UI were independently tweakable.
It is probably so with this as well as you can see from henftling's screenshot. The bars for his signal strength have changed to gray as well as his backgrounds. So the same registry entry is controlling two separate parts of the UI, which means no matter how much you play with it you will probably get some unreadable text.
I wish I could find the old software that I used to use, as it was pretty user-friendly and I think it showed you a preview of what you were going to get so you didn't have to reset each time. Sorry, I have searched and searched.
One thing I did find was this: http://www.freewareppc.com/utilities/rcmod.shtml . It looks like it gives you some idea of what you are changing before you change it. Perhaps it will help you guys.

It works for EVERYTHING
I don't know the menu option in english, since mine is spanish translated, but should say something like "system improvements", and then go to "colors" tab. That's it.
Hope it helps
Does anybody know if T-Mobile have changed anything on their version of the Touch Plus? For instance have they gone to work on all the icons and made them that ghastly pink colour which they insist on using? If they have is it much trouble to change them?
Hmm, I think I've managed to answer my own question by reading this thread.

Can anybody confirm if this works for the Dual?
I have the same 'problem' with my t-mobile branded Niki. For as far as I've searched this forum and other websites concearning the niki i've found nothing yet. I've found something in the Elf forum but the menu is slightly different. Maybe someone with an unbranded niki could post all the .brn and .png files from the windows dir? You could really help us a lot!
Actually it's not too bad. Home screen is basically all grey/black and the touch-flow interface is the same, except for the blue highlights on the standard HTC icons are pink on the MDA Touch plus.
Nowhere near as offensive as the Orange homescreen, but I guess that's easily turned off.

Thought of that before, didn't work I didn't do a soft-reset but just pulled out my battery I guess T-mobile modified the main ROM.

Agreed - a pretty subtle make over from t-mobile, especially on the home screen. A mate has an orange kaiser and virtually anything worth having has been mucked about with.

You mean a wait cursor?
I know there are a plethora to choose from.
Try this program. I think it will better suit your needs.

Ohh all the way, i knew i could count on you, yes it is the wait cursor, somehow my original one changed and i don't know how to restore it, thanks for the program, i will give it a try but i don't really want to install another program unless i have to
Surely there is a way within windows 6.1 to change it,
I will check it out,
Thanks again
Ok, i tried that program and i don't really like it, i can't find my old cursor within it
Does anyone know where the cursors are stored, this is driving me nuts, surely there is a registry setting i can use to change it
I am using the T-Mobile (USA) MDA (HTC Wizard), with the last official T-Mobile (2.26?) ROM, WM5.
I downloaded and installed a third-party dialpad skin, Zombie carbon QVGA (http://www.zombienexus.net/portal/GL_Display.asp?SEC=3&EntryID=464)
It looks cool, better than the T-Mobile skin for sure, or default Windows. Easier to read, with white text on black background.
Except for one problem:
The numbers are not on the buttons! They are far to the right, and a little down, of where they should be. They are actually closer to the next button to the right, than to the one they are supposed to sit on.
Can anyone tell me how to fix that? Something in the registry? Why are the numbers not lined up on the buttons?
How can I move the numbers far to the left, and a little up, so they are centered on the buttons?
P.S. I would have posted this to a forum at the Zombieskin site, but I don't see a forum there. And I have seen posts about these skins on this site, so I'm asking here. Hopefully someone here will know something about using these alternative dialpad skins.
Anyone know how to fix this?
