Anyone know if there is a dev emulator(software type) for windows that I could use to test an tweak with, as I like the stability of my phone. I am just trying to start doing some work myself, so if I'm totally off as far as this even being an option let me know(nicely please ))

There is a way to set up android in a virtual machine butt haven't gone that root myself

Closest thing you'll find is AVD which is android virtual device that we use to debug programs we write. Its part of the android sdk and gets integrated Eclipse when you set up your environment. Personally, I doubt it would be worth a damn for ROM making or tweaking. I am not sure how you would load any software on it other than vanilla android. Also its painfully ef'ing slow. I can't believe with my i7 and 16 gigs of ram it still takes 3 minutes to boot, and on my old laptop it takes 7 minutes. I really think big G could have done better with it, and its due for an over haul.

There is also the route of being able to run in vbox that I have heard, but my guess is that you would need an intel x86 kernel compiled for it....just a guess though.

Hack a smartphone via conventional routes, it is now a has been. Evidence, a team of researchers from Germany's University of Erlangen-Nurember found a method to access information stored in the memory (RAM) of an Android smartphone.
Since 2011, it is possible to encrypt data on Android, or both researchers found a way to slow encryption RAM thanks to the cold. Simply put the smartphone to a temperature below - 15 ° C, restart the phone, then enter the mode "fastboot". It is at this point comes into play software kit of two researchers to retrieve data remained in memory including decryption keys.
Tests were performed on the Galaxy Nexus and would have to hand over lists of contacts, pictures, passwords, Wi-Fi, calendar appointments, e-mails, etc..
No matter what type of technology we use to protect our mobile devices, the chances of getting hacked are still there.
For your information, the software in question is called Frost (Forensic Recovery of Scrambled Telephones).
Yep keep your eyes open for phone thieves extra vigilance for those carrying a freezer .
jje
PS expect a post can i root my phone with the freezer exploit .
Confirmed working

The freezer slows the elektrons so the memory holds on to its date 4-5 secs longer. So thats a total of 6-7 seconds. Enough time to extract.
Just what i read in the newspaper for your info.
Kind regards,
Thomas

Read this on some blog..
A funny comment..
Yet another reason to use the iPhone!
--------- Indeed since that doesn’t need any freezing to bypass the lock, just a few swift motions.
Good to know, but correct me if I'm wrong but Samsung roms don't have fastboot installed, so this won't really affect is.

You're absolutely right, and therefore, to SLOW everything down, you have the cooling system on PC, laptop, and even on the dam*** sony Gaystation, which is aimed on two things:
1. to accumulate dust inside;
2. to make the games "jumping" from frame to frame and to slow down any software.
And to have absolutely slow machine, most of the supecomputers, like Cray, are cooled down by the liquid nitrogen.
One final advise: please change newspaper you read from Smurfs Weekly to Gummi Bears, they are more techie.
I am coding an aggregation app for most of what we check on our smart phones.
I need a page that can display 4 HTML pages at once. I have no idea on even how to add 1 page. Any ideas?
Thanks in advance.

At once? Next to each other or three of some in the background?
For the last one search for the Fragments documentation.

You should probably use fragments with a webview in each one since on smaller devices it would be really hard to read all 4 webviews or if your set on the webviews being on the same screen a table or grid layout would probably be the easiest way to organize them. There is a composite tab in Eclipse and the last entry is a webview.
This is thenewboston tutorial on webviews:

I'm trying to decide between getting the Pebble, i'm Watch, Agent, or Kreyos Meteor. Which of these do you personally like the best?
Wait for the samsung gear? Should be announced September 4th.

Kreyeos Meteor smart watch looks like the best option right now.
They're all good for certain purposes. I personally backed the Kreyos because it was waterproof and has a speaker + mic.
What's the key decision criteria one should be looking for when evaluating these watches?

Your needs/wants, and whether the watch fulfills them.
I guess what I'd want in a watch...

A few features I'd like to see:
- A virtual security tether to let me know when I'm walking away or forgetting a phone / tablet and to bypass lockscreens
- reminders and basics that I don't even need to open my phone for
- profile management to advise my of locations and what my wifi devices are doing (what Android profiles they are on)
- health and fitness.... not so much but ok I get that this would be the best device to record my movement or how much I'm stuffing my face at meals...
