Help plz

I just bought a HD2 from Tmobile. The SPL version is 2.10.0000
I wanna use Hspl2 to unlock the phone bcoz I have friends in China.
Should I replace 2.10.0000 with the official 2.08.0000 so that I can use HSPL2?
If so, can anybody give me a link for downloading the official 2.08rom?
Please help me out. Thank you very much!!!

I buy my hd2 yesturday and I had the same problem but I found a solution fot it this is the link megaupload.com/?d=8XZMKWBZ. it say 2.10.531.0 but is the tmobile stock rom on 2.08. extract the .zip file plug the phone to active sync or windows device center 6.5 doble click the .exe file and follow the promp. now you have a stock tmous hd2 on 2.08 spl. let me know if it work.

kelkey is correct -
get the tmous stock 2.10.0 rom, which includes spl 2.08.0000
flash it to your phone
boot to bootlader, check the spl.
assuming the spl says 2.08.0000 then you can now install hspl
THe versions are confusingly similar
rom 2.13 has spl 2.10.0000
rom 2.10 has spl 2.08.0000
also, you said 'hspl2' in your post, I assume you meant hspl1024 (or hspl2_1024 to be more acurate)?

Please read carefully before installing!
1) To install this HSPL there must be SPL 1.42.0000 on your device.
Otherwise the installation will fail!
To check your SPL version, hold the Volume Down button and do a reset.
It is possible to downgrade to this SPL, by just flashing to an Official ROM
with this SPL version.
2) Features
- Disabled CID Check, so you can flash any official ROM without using a Gold Card.
- Security Level = 0, so you can use all the boot loader commands (for developers).
- This HSPL will not get overwritten when flashing a full NBH with SPL via RUU.
- No NBH signatures check, so you can flash unsigned ROM images.
3) Warranty Issues
Be warned, Installing HSPL may void your warranty.
If you need to send your device to a Repair Centre,
make sure that you uninstall HSPL!
4) Uninstallation
Only way to remove the HSPL is to flash an original SPL from SD card.
- Take any "RUU_signed.nbh" from a ship ROM and copy it to SD card.
- Rename it to "leoimg.nbh"
- Reset the device while pressing the volume down button.

Troubleshooting:
I have SPL 1.42.666 on the device.... !!!! WAIT !!!! SPL 1.42.6666 is not the version of the SPL on your device!... it is the SSPL version. Most likely you have the needed 1.42.0000 SPL on the device, just try to install this HSPL if you need it. Don't worry, if there is not the right SPL on the device, then u will get an error message, but nothing will happen to your device
"Your OS ROM isn't customized for your hardware. Please reflash the proper ROM code or contact the service center", !!! Problem NOT related to HSPL !!! ... this means that you flashed a region protected rom... flash any other rom that has your region ID... or patch it

well, HSPL2 comes
To install/uninstall this HSPL there must be any SPL version from this list on your device:
SPL 1.42.0000 SPL 1.42.HSPL
SPL 1.62.0000
SPL 1.66.0000 SPL 1.66.HSPL
SPL 2.07.0000
SPL 2.08.0000 SPL 2.08.HSPL
Other versions are not supported. (They are rare however...)
Now you can uninstall HSPL via same program, you no longer need to flash rom from SD card!
In HSPL2 you can select which version of SPL you want to install in the device.
There included 6 SPLs:
OSPL 1.42, OSPL 1.66, OSPL 2.08 (Original SPL)
HSPL 1.42, HSPL 1.66, HSPL 2.08 (Hard SPL)
Remember that some ROMs have old SPLs, for example 2.10 ROM have 2.08 SPL, 1.72 ROM have 1.66 SPL and etc!
You can install any of them using HSPL2.

[Q] SPL 2.10

I have SPL 2.10 on my hd2 and I wish to install HardSPL and MAGDLR 1.13..
Can someone assist me, I was unsuccessful at installing HSPL 3.

DOWNLOAD:
stock 1.66 rom from htc
your hspl will now be 1.66
enter bootloader mode (hold voulme down button while clicking once on power button)
hspl should work now
EDIT: you can also download this rom : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=577717
then you will have hspl 1.42.. but it will also work.. after you've installed the rom.. just instal hspl 2.08

Is there a 1.66 for T-Mobile (USA) 1024MB ROM HD2?
SPL 2.10 isn't the usual 512MB ROM HD2 that Europe and Asia are using.

This is most certainly not necessary. If you have spl 2.10.0000 HSPL3 works perfectly and will change the spl to 2.08.hspl. You only need to go to these extremes if your spl is 3.03.0000.

As long as your spl is 2.10.0000 you can just run HSPL3, no need to first downgrade.

NEED Help PHONE STUCK ON BOOT SCREEN
I installed hspl 4 for my hd2 with 3.03 spl
and then i tried installed magldr 1.13 but now i found out that hspl 4 isnt compatible with magldr
how do i reset my phone? I've tried to hard reset it and its still stuck on the boot screen
need help!!

bootloader - usb - run hspl4 - choose 2.08.hspl

Another person who doesnt read anything before flashing something...

Hi I'm very new to this I was reading the thread and I just want to make sure I have a good idea of what I'm doing before I try to hspl my tmobile hd2 the device is asking me to update the software and in bootloader its saying update rom error with a spl of 3.03.0000 I was thinking if I hspl4 the device will this action update my rom or would I be able to reflash stock rom to the device and then flash a custom rom to the device another ? For the great minds at xda is there a build for a gingerbread rom that has the htc sense functional ??? Thank u in advance

If you install 3.03 HSPL it will only change you SPL to HSPL it will not update your ROM. Right now HSPL 4 is only good for flashing custom ROMs. If you want to flash MAGLD to your HD2 so you can install a NAND Andriod ROM or Windows Phone 7 then you need to cboose 2.08 HSPL as MAGLD does not support any higher HSPL version yet. All of this is mentioned above and in the post by member Cottula on HSPL 4.

Sorry at this point I can not use the phone if I replace my spl with a hspl and choose 2.08 then flash a custom rom to my device can I use it again or is there more that I'm missing I'm so sorry to bother you but I let my brother do all this and now he is stuck just like me

If you can still get your HD2 into bootloder then yes flashing 2.08 HSPL and then flash a cutom ROM you should be able to use your phone again. If you have a TMOUS HD2 just make sure you are not flashing a new radio along with the ROM and if it is going to change the Radio make sure it is a a radio that reads something like this 2.xx.50.xx. But do not I repeat, do not flash a radio that looks like these two 2.04.50.xx or 2.05.50.xx they will brick your phone.

Hi all,ich tried to flash nand on my German HD2,i have problem on the first step with flash hspl,i have German T-Mobile original stock rom on my HD2 3.14,with SPL 3.03 and radio 2.15.50.14 and when i try to flash with HSPL4 the 2.08 hspl i become after one minute critical error like flow:0000006 or something,the same with hspl3.03,what i can do?

u mean during the flash u see the progress bar and than it stop and give the error?

You must downgrade your Rom to a Rom with an SPL 2.10 or lower in order to install HardSPL 2.08 check out this guide...
