Does anybody knows if it posible to change the assinment of the keys on the keyboard?
I would like to change the Windows Startbutton into CTRL, So i can easy use CTRL C and CTRL V.
Do i have to change the keybddr.dll for it?
Not to be a "me 2"er, but I am looking to swap the comma and period. They're on the same key, but I have to use the "Option" button (round dot) to get a comma. Well, when I'm option-locked and typing numbers, I use the period a lot more than when I'm typing letters. I'd like to see a way to simply swap those two functions on that key.
Changing Map
Guys,
I´m from Brazil and in my portuguese keyboard I had an issue with comma an period keys.
I´ve used the AEKMap program to remap my keyboard. On google, type aekmap an the link will come.
Here are the settins i used.

Hi
Is it possible to make longpressing a character on the keyboard use a character of my choice? rather than bringing up a menu where I have to click on the screen to choose character?
Example:
I want to use the character Å (A with a ring over it, its in the norwegian alphabet)
I longpress A, and that gives me a menu on the screen with Â, Ã, Ä and Å, and I have to click one of those!
Instead I want to set my own characters like this:
Longpress A = Å (A-ring)
Longpress E = Æ (AE)
Longpress O = Ø (O-line)
I dont know if this exists or even if it is possible, but it would be a great timesaver!
This would indeed be very useful. Request seconded.
Third
Just as a tip for my fellow norwegians, since aa (a with ring above) is the key that is most to use, I usually just copy that letter and just paste it when I need it later, and long press o to got oe and then press enter, and for ae I just long press a and use the scroll wheel to move one field down and then press enter.
Not sure if this works for you, but I manage just fine with this approach. The only thing that annoys me is the lack of support for foreign keys in the android browser.

ä = fn+a (same you had)
ö = fn+o (because origin keyboard has - symbol at o-key it must change to another key, i think better for - character is)
- = fn+p (origin _ symbol at keyboard, so you remeber this easy,and _ character i need rarelyand it can be writing with soft keyboard if needed)
å = whatever, i dont use

Hi!
Is there a change to modify the keymap of landscape softkeyboard?
In portrait mode there is easy way to type scandinavians like Ä+Ö+Å.
Just hold the A key and wait a second and there is Ä.
Holding S makes Ö and holding D makes Å.
But.. in landscape mode there are scandinavians but they arent
mapped to be second change of keypress.
Can anyone help?
Thanks and sorry for bad english
Anyone? Is there a way to modify keymapping of landscape softkeyboard?

Thanks A lot! I really like the touchflow language in finnish
Sweet
This is great!
Im thinking of future installing different ROMS and then this would be perfect. But i have the scandinavian keyboard layout with the letters already on the keyboard. So can you do a cab for the original layout as well?
So here's the layout:
Fn+I = Å
Fn+O = Ä
Fn+P = Ö
Fn+K = Æ
FN=L = Ø
I think this layout in particular would suit all the scandinavian handsets.
Thanks in advance

I cant install it... How???
I don't know what English X1 keyboards look like, but on my Swiss X1 there are three keys for ä, ö and ü. I think these keys do their job in a different way than the other keys, because I have noticed that when I slide the keyboard out and start typing, the phone is too slow to show the text in the first few seconds, and if I write a word caontianing ä ö or ü, that letter will not appear at the position where it is supposed to be according to the typing order, but at the beginning of the phrase. I therefore think that those keys trigger a special function which passes the correct key to the system, and this function is obivously way faster than the normal IRQ. So, first I would like to know whether there is a solution of this problem and if my assumptions are right, and second if there is a way to apply this behaviour to other keys or change the existing one, so that maybe we could get a ctrl key.
Problems whit the keyboard i found setting QWERTY UK pressing the Shift key until the lock is not we once again and the next letters is capitalized even back then lowercase letters, press ALT + ? appears - as it appears - instead of / without pressing ALT, as defualt language phone is Italian
