What about WM 6.1 ROM for Polaris???

Hello guys !
Am very very...VERY noob in this entire "flashing" process, and as such, i cannot use cooked ROMS like you guys do and i was just curious, when is the "easy flashing" official 6.1 ROM going to be released for polaris by htc??
Are there any plans in the first place to do so?

According to rumour, the official HTC 6.1 ROM is due to be released sometime this month.

Yeah, the ROM update is to be released imminently.
I've already got my hands on the official Spanish 6.1 ROM, so keeps your eyes on the HTC website..

The ROM version is RUU_Polaris_HTC_SPA_3.13.412.0_radio_sign_25.85.30.07_1.59.42.15_Ship

Any different with 6.0 (design/video driver) ????

Can you upload it somewhere so someone can check if it contains the long awaited DDI.DLL that might enable the 3D drivers?

@pananza i think you could be dream HTC release improve 3D drivers, they prefere release new phone like diamond or rapahel. It's the law of consumtion society

I DO NOT agree.
Biggest proof: WM 6.1 for TYTN II !!!!
Its the law of respecting the customer (which HTC is doing pretty fairly in it until NOW so far).

After how many complain did they choose to relaese a new rom ? and is she really improve the drivers ?

Welcome aboard, just a word of advice. Make sure you've read a bit about the whole process, and ensure your phone is CID unlocked before attempting to flash a custom built ROM. You may brick your phone temporarily if you don't.
Check the link to SPL/IPL for the Touch in my signature. Hopefully it'll help.

For Custom Roms for Elf/Elfin, you need to go to Elf Upgrading section!
There you can dwnload and install the Rom of your choice.. its easy. Just be sure to read the FAQs/Instructions carefully before you upgrade!!

yes u can..but please refer to ur respective device forum!

I would suggest to back up everthing from ur mobile even the contacts and also original rom
Before u start flashing note all the information for you mobile like CID,Rom Version, And also OS.
And then try to upgrade to new SPL/IPL that will unlock CID then u can upgrade to 6.1 or 6.5.
!!!!!!! but please refer to ur respective device forum !!!!!!

Please solve this dilemma?

I have installed several of the previous 6.5 versions on my opal. But none of them worked properly for me. Slow and crashes. I had to revert back to 6.1.
I don't know whether this latest version 24 is good or not.
My questions are:
1) When we will get the official 6.5?
2) How is this version i,e version 24?

2. PhamQuang's V24 (Core 23053) is the best so far compared to his previous versions.

buddy u are in which world do u think when wm 6.5 will be officially released they will give for htc touch viva. Till this date there is no announcement that a official upgrade for htc touch viva u will get rather i have to say that forget for our htc touch viva wm 6.5 and that too official never. Actually wm 6.5 is made for higher processor devices may be it will work on lower also but till now there is no news that our phone will get a official upgrade.
Although lets see what happens on oct 6.

Guys no software can fix the bug for messages? Saving the sent messages to sent folder and so on...???
is it a bug or missed by MS?
Also sometimes when I have a miss call the phone halts at the answer screen. even if you try to close it, it wont.
the facility for vibrate device when call is connected is still not working....will it be fix with a fix or in next release?
I also want the ringtone vibration to be differencial and not continuous...is it possible?

I had bought my HTC HD2 with htc sense a week ago ...
I have red some of the theads here for ROM updates and the other stuff that helps to fix the some problem that might have on the htc ...
well ... i cant install anything on my htc ...
i tryed every way ... allmost every version ...
cant get no positive result ...
please help me if its not a hard job for you ...
i know it may be like " ohh ... another nubie ".
i'll be thankfull if you'll help me to understand the htc \ the windows mobile system ...
my software info is :

Manila version : 1.0.19211620.0
ROM vertion : 1.48.831.0 (71294) WWE
ROM date : 11.09.09
Radio version : 2.05.51.05_2
need are : Hebew / Russian support that will work for the htc hd2 sense
( how do i know what wm do i have ? )
what soft will be needed on the wm that will be usefull ?

Are you sure your manila version is 1.0.19211620.0? My HD2 show Manila 2.5.19211619. As far as I know, Every HD2 have Manila version 2.5

This all what i get after making an Hard Restart to the Htc...
it reinstalls the factory release ...

radio... but no can do ...
i have windows 7.
when i tried to install the rom ...
it says sync the phone with the computer...
then update rom... but i get an error that the program cant find my device.

Yes, every HD2 has Manila 2.5.
I think there is a possibility you don't even have the HD2. Either you have some other phone from HTC or you have some fake stuff from Chinese market... I'm just guessing of course. Can you maybe post a picture of your hd2?

have you installed the necessary software on your computer?

Well, at least the ROM version is the official Hong Kong ROM for the HD2, including the Radio ROM version.
Picture(s) and/or screenshot indeed would be helpful in order to support better.

Learn to HSPL your phone.
Then after that you can flash your phone with whatever ROM you want provided by the wonderful XDA devs .

But ... i have a little problem ...
when i try to install the HSPL ... ( if you also did it ), you get the BOOT or what ever you call it screen on the HTC red green white screen...
( the one you see on the video tutorial ).
and the soft ( HSPL ) on the computer write me " waiting for usb connection " ... he cant see my device when it goes to the "boot" screen (on device)...
what can be the problem?
( again ... i use the windows 7 )
( active sinc 4.5 )
( htc hd2 sence )

I don't think you can run activ sync in Win7
I connected my device using WMDC.
And ran Hardspl.
I think it's enough to Hard SPL the device.
You needn't do soft spl.
After you hard spl you get a screen on windows7 saying
"We hacked your phone" if I remember correct.
After that you can load in your new rom.

Are you using a USB port that is in a card reader? Or maybe part of the front case of the PC?
I can't instal HSPL from my front USB ports, but it installs fine on the USB ports round the back, directly on the motherboard....
I can however flash roms fine using the front ports.

it was the problem .... i put the usb behind the comp
and it found the usb .... HSPL installed .... thanks ALOT! =)

Hah, hunt around, those questions never get a good reception.
You should choose your own. If you want to stick with official roms go for the 1.66, but if you want to try cooked ones, pick one and try it, pick another and try that. Take your time, dont go flash crazy, see what you like and stick with it. Try the one in my sig, very nice.
Best advice i can give is dont flash using sd card. It can lead to awkwardness, lol. With HSPL and usb flashing, your SPL is protected. Flash with sd card and you can possibly mess that up.
Only time you should need to use sd card is if you're flashing back your original stock rom and wanting to remove HSPL. (You can also flash the stock romusing USB, but that will leave HSPL installed.)

once you have this on your device, you will be able to flash to any custom rom for blackstone.

Forget about speed in WM6.5. It's not designed for Blackstone. Stay with 6.1

1.you can test my 6.1 rom that im currently making if you want? (private message me if you would like to test it)
2.personally i found the speed is slightly faster on 6.1roms
3.visit the xda touch hd wiki for the original rom dumps, its too much work to dump the rom yourself so just download one thats already been done. to be honest, you wont even need it.. there is a wide variety of differant custom roms avaliable. (+ the original roms are crap )

Check blackSTONEhenge ROMs.
I see hungarian flag under cook's name, and I think Wajk cooked at least one ROM in/with hungarian language...
