1600 mah battery a bit expensive , but no add cover - Touch Pro, Fuze Accessories

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/batterie-pour...éléphonie_Accessoires_PDA?hash=item414ba6d1b0

bought 2 of these, had them for a couple of months now. Lasts a bit longer than the stock battery and exactly the same size...

I bought this battery (but from another seller). From the picture I can say that it is the same item (as well as the price).
I've used it for 15 days, and in this period the device has switched off several times.
Yesterday tha battery passed from 100% to 0% in 2 hours of music from MP3 player.
Bad puchase.

i believe this battery doesn't measure to claimed mah rating

Extended Battery.

Hi all.
Let's share our experience about batteries, this is more about hardware than software side. Where is better to buy quality replacement batteries and etc...
I'm using two normal capacity 1350 mAh replacement batteries on my HD2 Nexus android. Both of them I bought on ebay quite long time ago and... what can I say, they performing ok, maybe slightly worse that was original one (lost). Recently I bought extended battery on ebay, twice thick and twice heavier than original one with back cover, 2400 mAh. Strange thing, it lasts about the same (sometimes I think even less) as original capacity ones. Peope say do calibration... This is what I'm going to do tonight, but strange, these normal capacity ones have not done any calibrations and last well. The question, why double capacity one does'n last any longer???
I will update you about changes after calibration.
Because of the calibration it just charges it till the normal capacity battery would be full, and but since this is a extended capacity battery it will need to be calibrated so that it knows that it can be charged further.
But, that's my theory. just try it out and see for yourself.

Extended batteries will drain down to 15% then should stay there for a while. And even if the phone shuts down due to drainage all you have to do is remove the battery, put it back in and you're back to around 40%.
I use 2 extended ones from ebay and they last at least 1.5-1.75 longer than the skinny original htc one.

Battery Question

Bought a spare battery for Desire HD, mainly to have with me when at football as one battery through the day is simply not enough
Question is, if i charge a battery up, how long will that battery keep its charge whilst not in the phone. Has anyone got any examples of timings and performance. Both batteries are official 1200mAh batteries.
http://batteryuniversity.com/learn/article/how_to_store_batteries
But since all that's not viable in real life or worth it, I store my battery at 100%. Quite a few times I've used my spare battery a week or so after charging it, and it showed 98-99% when I put it in the phone. Of course that's the phone's reported battery percentage which can be erratic and fluctuate a lot, but when I checked the battery voltage it hadn't decreased by much.
I have 2 spare batteries, both older than my active battery and one slightly bloated and not the best to use (the one I got with the phone). Both are OEM 1230 mAh. I last charged them a week back and didn't use them after. These are the voltages measured with a multimeter as of now -
1st spare battery (1 year 10 months old) - 4.18V
2nd spare battery (1 year 2 months old) - 4.2V
As you can see, that's hardly any decrease in the first one and almost nothing in the second one, considering a full charge is 4.2V (4.204V to be exact). I carry them around with me when I'm outside, so they're exposed to some amount of body heat and ambient heat when the weather is hot. Like I said before, I last charged them one after the other a week ago or a little more than that, and they haven't been used since. So you shouldn't see any significant voltage drop unless you don't use the spare battery for a month or more.
Just in case you weren't aware of this, you can check your battery voltage from your phone easily by keying in *#*#4636#*#* in the dialer and choosing 'battery information'.

The battery will retain its charge and best way is to flash a custom ROM like TrickDroid(Sense 4.0). I have it and battery is amazing even with heavy usage.

Where can I find an acceptable extended battery for Galaxy S3?

Galaxy S3 Neo has a ridiculous stock 2100 mAh battery which offers a very poor duration. That's the reason I need an extended one. I have tried lots of extended batteries of different brands such as DSK, Anker, and one that I don't know its brand, I bought it from http://www.tucargadorsolar.com/. All of it have offered me a very poor duration. They are supposed to have twice the capacity of stock battery but here are the results that I got with all of them:
Original 2100 mAh battery, 100% charged, holds for 5:30 hours on continuous video playing until it reaches 5%.
Different extended batteries (4200 to 4400 mAh depending on the brand), 100% charged, hold for 6:45 hours on continuous video playing and in exactly the same conditions of the other test (screen brightness, bluetooth, wifi...).
I have repeated the test lots of times and always get the same results. If an extended battery of 4200 - 4400 mAh has a double capacity and original battery holds for 5:30 hours, why the extended one does not hold for the double, 11 hours?
I suppose that I have been testing batteries coming from not reliable brands.
I ordered a battery from Mugen Power 3 months ago, because it is supposed to be a reliable brand. But 3 months later still know nothing about the order I've made, and now they don't answer my e-mails.
What can I do? Is there another brand which is reliable enough to offer me a good duration?
I am really annoyed with this, I have lost very much money and time and all batteries I buy are in a very bad condition.
Well you could just money to buy another phone Anyway, if you're on stock, I can't say much, but using a custom kernel with governors etc, it would be really a great option as with the default battery, it last way more longer.
It's really strange, really. Have you calibrated the batteries right by reading the manuals? Are you sure about the capacities (Have you tested them with a multimeter)? Have in mind (if you haven't already known that) that I9300 batteries are exactly the same, because it's wide known and there are for sure reliable sources. A phone like Neo, is easily targeted with fake things. Last, you should buy from Amazon and read the reviews. Oh, did you try to contact with the companies?
Again, it's very strange....
S3 neo's battery functionality is a joke...
I try a lots of extended batterys baut only one is in right...Anker 7200mah(buy from amazon)
But s3 neo have a "bug"...completly charge of ectended batery is possible just if you replace battery after first charge to "100%" and put on charge again...aproximately after replace cell, phone was display the true charging %...
After 2x 3x replaces battery was true 100% charged...
Discharging is same way....after first 1-2% level replace the batt....it shows aprox. 70% after....
Replace "trick" is only one way to use extended batterys capacity.

Time for a new battery?

Hey there,
I have a question to which I maybe know the answer but anyway... Today I used my phone as I would normally and got 3 hours screen-on time and 5-6 of total time since unplugged (also restarted the device once). So I decided to go into android's default battery screen in settings to see which apps may be causing some drain. While there I decided to open up each individual screen and calculate how much mAh in total has been used during this time. Phone was at 5% when I did this so I was expecting the total mAh sum of everything shown in the stats to be around 2600-2700mAh. To my surprise, the sum was 1084mAh The battery is 2800mAh and it said that the total power usage today was 1084mAh (almost 3 times lesser than the battery capacity!) and the phone was almost dead at 5%. Is it time to buy a new battery? Share your experience please. Btw if I get 3h SOT with 1084mAh in total (according to these stats) then I'd get 7-8h SOT with a brand new battery? Maybe I've forgotten how long the S5 can actually last with a brand new battery or maybe I'm doing it wrong, help with some info please
PS: Charger connects are more than 2200 according to the Phone Info app.
It also says that it needs 1 hour to charge the phone from 1% to 100%. That's not normal right? I forgot what a brand new battery feels like...help. Today got 9h total time and 3h sot.

The sign of a significantly worn battery is when it charges far to fast.
The standard charger provides 2A. The battery is 2.8Ah. Therefore to charge it (2.8/2), it should take about 1 hours 30 minutes if the phone is turned off and if the charger outputs a continuous 2A, which it doesn't.

It still charges for 2-2.5 hours, it only says that it needs 1 hour. It goes up to 85-90% during the first hour and then from that to 100% in the next 1-1.5 hours. Still, looks like I'll just get a new one very soon. At least I can swap it and it's cheap.
Actually, it's time for a new device!
Hi
If you have been using your S5 since 2014 then it's time for a new device not a new battery. A new battery won't make any difference because there's no battery replaces the original one (the one that comes with the device). What you see on the market advertised as genuine Samsung batteries are all fake/replicas with no exception. Samsung does *not* manufacture genuine batteries for sale separately. It's a simple marketing strategy, Samsung wants you to buy a new device every 4 years, these 4 years are the life of the battery (not the device). If Samsung sold the genuine battery separately then few people will buy a new device sooner, and most of them will only replace the battery every 4 years and continue using the device for next 4 years, that's so bad for Samsung.
So my advice is: Hurry up, sell you device sooner before its battery gets worse.
Hope that helps

We both are in the same boat my friend. But remember, once the 4 years pass, every day you keep your device is a nail in its coffin.

Samsung S5e screen on time and charging

I purchased this tablet brand new maybe 6 months ago and haven't used it that much at all.
Tablet is maybe charged like 10 times total.
I noticed that Screen on time is drastically used from 9 hours when I purchased it (9 hours on wifi) to now only 6 hours (cca like 70 % of use with wifi).
So I thought that the stock charger is reducing the battery capacity because it is quick charger and charging battery with high current which I don't need.
Is it possible quick charger is the issue and making battery in worse condition?
Now I put it to charge over USB 2.0 port which is I think giving only 500 mA.
I never got 10 h of screen on time like on declaration of the tablet.
What is your SOT for this model?

My record is 11 hours using Netflix and Amazon video with 100% Wi-Fi in 48 hours of use. If it's 6 days, about 9 and a half hours. Downloading series and watching the chapters offline, it gives me 12 and a half hours with manual brightness of 70% on average. I am on android 9 and I have no intention of going up to A10 or A11 if it ever arrives. Very happy with my Tab S 5e!
Li's don't like sitting at a full charge especially in high heat. A 50% charge is much better for long idle times. Limiting the top charge to 80% and the max discharge to 20%, preferable 40% will greatly increase the life of the cell.
The capacity lose is most likely permanent.
If any swelling is noticeable replace immediately... fire hazard.
Then something is wrong with my tablet.
My total SOT is around 6 h watching youtube videos.
Is it better to do slow(normal) charge for the health of battery?
