Is this a new camera patch? JAM_Camera_Patch_V1.03.1.0.CAB

Hi gurus... I read in one of the forums that there is a new camera patch for the jam JAM_Camera_Patch_V1.03.1.0.CAB. I didn't see any talk about it here. Is it new?
yeah.. pls upload & post it here if u have....
Here it is. I have not tried it myself. Use at your own risk
ok thanks man..... i will backup all my things b4 i try...
Will update u guyz once tried....
hahaha...
I have installed it w/o problm.
Yes... no more white dot anymore... others, almost the same for me..
So, it works then
This is the same file offered by the official i-mate website. You should use this link instead:
http://www.clubimate.com/Support/JAM_Camera_Patch_V1.03.1.0.CAB
When was this patch released - and what camera versions would it be relevant for? For example, I have camera version 2.70, build 18177.
it works for me, very good! it updates the cmos control software nothing else, and it does a hell of a job
I have a german ROM. Do you think, that this .CAB would work for me, too? :?:
greets,
olaf
Just tried it. It does seem to make a difference in color, focusing speed and overall pic quality. White spots pretty much gone.
It also totally borked my today screen. Apparently it doesn't like the windows default theme, so changing to the alternate, "Bliss" theme, took care of that.
Definitely worth doing...
Just installed it and the picture quality in low light/incandescent is still total crap.
Holding my JAM next to my PDA2K there is just no comparison. While the JAM may have a higher resolution the amount of noise in the picture is just ridiculous. Whoever in quality control passed this should be shot.
Also my today screen was totally garbled after installing it. Had to switch to Bliss and then back again to cure it.
Russ.
My basic question is how do I know if I have an updated ROM or not. I bought my Imate Jam on the 12th of Jan. and my the information I have is Version 2.70 Build 17975.
Any help will be appreciated.
Is there any equivalent patch for the MDA Compact? I've tried installing this one but it doesn't update my build number :-(

This does not change the build number. It's the CMOS control driver update not the camera software upgrade.

on pocketgear there are:
MP3 ringtone patch for XdaIImini(T.Chi) 1.0
MP3 ringtone patch for XdaIImini (Eng) 1.0
Chinese and English, so it seems you need the correct one.
Other question: is possible to uninstall a patch?

Humm we're not talking about the same patch ... The discussion thread is about the camera patch (working for all version: XDA, Qtek, etc. if I'm not wrong).
You're talking about a patch for adding the context menu when you click on a MP3 file and you want to add it as a ringtone. The language is not specific, it is only to define the language of the sentence "set as ringtone".
I translated it to french (not too hard ) and sent it back to the author. You can remove this patch easily (add/remove programs).

its already in CAB file...just transfer the cab file on to your magician and use the builtin file manager to tap and install it...
hoping that ampda would bump into this tread and make a tweak on this new camera app...

How to build ROMs?

Elow.
Can someone tell me how to build HD2 Roms? I mean - there are so many ROMs out there, but how were they built? There aren't tutorials. So I think it cannot be really difficult.
I actually imagine, that you start with the normal clean HTC ROM. Then you install your Cabs, etc., use some registry tweaks, maybe some visual changes, and that's it. Then you have to "save" the actually ROM, or better said: you make a backup of it. (Dunno how to do this.)
Yep.
Is this right? Or how does it work? Can anybody help me or give me a short tutorial?
Cheers.
No there's no tutorials on this site...

how to do fm radio de-emphasis without installing bsbtweaks?

question for you fellow hd2 crew!
how can I go about tweaking my fm radio reception, also known as applying the ' de emphasis' tweak without the aid of bsb? I ask because the chef of my custom rom advises against using bsbtweaks as it can override many of the tweaks already implemented in the rom.
is it a simple registry hack? ive searched but to no avail!
tia!
bump! anyone havean answer?
Have you asked in the bsb tweaks thread? The creator would be the best to give you the answer...
cant imagine that your system would mess up if you just enable the radio-emphasis function in bsb-tweaks.
I much rather think, the rom cooker meant options like the tap-time, glyph-cache or screen sensivity.

[Q] Change color of the glowpad dots on security screen

Hi Everyone
This is my first post, so try to be indulgent ^^
I'm on slimkat/slimsaber kat and I use pattern for security screen lock.
Under theme style option, I want to modify the color of glowpad dots (make it less white..) but this option is greyed and cannot be changed.
Does anyone ever succeed to change this option? Did I miss something?
To finish, like you know, new users cannot post in development section and are not allowed to contact developer member directly. So I want to ask if someone can warn slimsaber's developer (@kantjer) of a bug (or show him link of this thread):
It seems Slimsizer simply don't work in Slimsaberkat rom. I tried several releases, and it's the same but with Slimkat (original) rom, there is no problem with Slimsizer. I made research of "slimsizer" word in the thread but there was no match, so i cannot know if this is a bug or just a just a disabled feature?
Thank you by advance

Question Custom Rom with Glyph Mod

Hello and Greetings!
I have one Question to all Custom Roms here in the Forum for the Nothing Phone.
Is there a Custom Rom with Glyph Mods?
I am on Android 13 Stock Rom and think about Unlock and Root the Phone and install a Custom Rom for more Options.
Something like that the Glyps activate every 20 Seconds after getting a Message, or a missed Call..
Sorry my English, come from Germany..
Best regards
Seem not have what things you want. Ulti now (before Carl Pei release Glyphs interface API) just have glyphs notification blink option
Thank you for the answer
If you root anyways, you can try my Tasker Profiles.
