HD2 won't connect to internet? - HD2 General

So, I just did a Hard Reset, but now my phone wont connect to the dataconnection. When I push the on/off button next to dataconnection, nothing happens. I can easily configure the connection, and everything seems to be in order, ben when im done configuring and it should connect, nothing happens. Anyone knows why this suddenly happened after a Hard Reset? It worked fine before.
(Im using the 1.48 DAN rom)

I have the same problem. After each hard reset my phone won't connect, however when I leave it alone for a few hours it seems to start working all by itself. Can anyone say what causes that? I'm on standard T-Mobile UK ROM with the latest 2.06 radio.

Cannot Connect for an unknown reason. ......"

Any IDEA Friends????
Thanks.
Nothing YET????????? :?: :?: :?:
just for the sake of not letting your question go unanswered...
i experienced same problem once b4, its due to a program that
just dont work right on xda... never found out what it was. because i hard reset the device, and it worked fine after that!
its realy just easier to hard reset your device. and just restore files thru the activesync... restoring from a backup file will restore the problem as well.
i know im not much help, but if its bugging you THAT much, just hard rest
good luck
Hey RobertoLV my GPRS is working you fine, where are you?
GPRS Service
Sometimes T-Mobile has some problems with the net. So if it isn't connecting (Wap or....) call the customer-service to make a reset for your line. After the reset it is working great again.

cant connect to the internet

Im not sure how to describe my problem but here goes. I used to use a wifi card on my Jam only and did not even set up my GPRS. Everything went fine. Today I decided to set my GPRS up and everthing went well. Then I decided to retry my wifi card to make sure it worked and it did, but I was concerned whether my phone was using GPRS or wifi to connect to the internet.
So I took out my wifi card and held down the red button to turn off GPRS. Now, nothing works. When I try either GPRS or wifi I get the message that "The answering modem has disconnected. To check your connection setting and change them if needed, tap settings". Anyone know what went wrong?
This happend to me 2, try today or later and it will work im sure of that. make sure your you have good contact when trying again.
Just do a soft reset and it will be working again. This happened to me yesterday. If you are having a hard time figuring out the soft reset, jut take the battery out, wiat 5 secs and put it back. That works as well.

Wierd lack of connectivity issue...

Lately I've been having wierd connectivity issues with my Universal. It started happening occasionally a few weeks ago, but now seems to happen fairly frequently.
Sometimes after I soft reset the phone it makes it's GPRS connection, but it doesn't work. I am using ActiveSync with Exchange 2003 SP2 and when it's in this state I don't get new email. If I try to manually Send/Receive when it's in this state it says "Connecting..." then "Syncronizing Folders" for several minutes, then "Finished", however, nothing is actually syncronized. If I try to go to a web site in Opera it says "Looking up host", then "Sending Request" but never gets any further.
Originally I thought it might have been a Cingular issue, however, my wife's Treo 650 has no problems with data connections during the same time that it's not working for me, and if we swap SIMs my SIM works flawlessly in her Treo and hers exhibits the same issues on my phone. I've also just discovered that I have the same issues trying to connect to a wifi network when the phone is in this state. It clams that I'm connected to the network, but it just can't seem to send any data across.
In the past I had usually been able to fix by soft resetting once or twice, but lately that doesn't always seem to work. Sometimes I'll give up and just let it sit and all of a sudden I'll start receiving email (sometimes it takes several hours for this to happen) and sometimes after (quite) a few soft resets it starts working again. Once it's working, it seems to continue working (even for days at a time) until I soft reset the phone. Unfortunately, mostly because of memory issues I seem to have to reset at least once every day or two, if not more frequently.
I have no problem sending or receiving phone calls or text messages while I'm having problems with data.
I'm about ready to do a hard reset, but I was wondering if anyone else had seen anything like this or had any suggestions.
Thanks,
Brett
I don't know if mine is identical or not, but it sounds pretty close.
Here's what I'm seeing:
- Primarily in morning, ActiveSync will sync with Exchange server a la Direct Push. Sync happens fine. Another email comes in a moment or two later, it will not sync. Get an error code 80070008 (or close to it). What I do is disconnect GPRS, and stop the ActiveSync process. Restart it on the 8125, and the sync works just fine.
- Browsing. I'm using the Cingular settings. I'll try to go to a site, and it'll just sit there "locating".. Eventually, usually around the 1 minute mark, it will finally connect and find the site. I'll go to a different site, and it's generally just fine as long as I'm still in IE. I'll minimize it, go to another application, let it go for a bit, whatever, and it's the same thing all over again. Never dropped GPRS or closed IE. Strange thing about it is ActiveSync seems to work pretty quick by comparison, only difference is that it's going over SSL.
I'm not sure if it's a Cingular deal, or something with the WM-based devices. It happened all of a sudden. I've tried hard resetting, changing ROM's, using and not using the proxy...pretty much everything I can think of.
I know it doesn't help, but it doesn't sound like you're the only one having these problems.

wi-fi problem on HD2

hello there!
i heave a problem with my HD2.
i can't connect to my gigaset sx763 wireless router(on the internet).
i press to connect to the acess point, it connects and then disconnects. and all the time like that, he never connects.
what's the problem?
got exactly the same problem after upgrading rom; first evrrything was fine for few hours and i instaled all progs & tweaks; then wlan stopped connecting to three different wlans... i'm stil not sure if some app or tweak broke it...
My WiFi works.....but only if my HD2 is as close as intimately possible with the mating device...
Have you tried a soft reset? I had to do that a couple of times after the ROM upgrade.
Have you tried a soft reset? I had to do that a couple of times after the ROM upgrade to connect to my router.
no i didn't. i still heave the factory 1.43 ROM.
i'm freaking out
Sometimes two pieces of WiFi hardware are not not compatible with each other.
This may be the case here. If it is, you can do nothing against it, except for trying to find different firmware for your router that woks with the HD2.
just can't belive that thats true

[Q] Wifi tethering stops working after a few minutes

Just got my Arc yesterday and noticed a really wired problem. I turned on Wifi tethering and connected from my MBP, after a few minutes of normal usage internet stops working. Although Wifi still shows connected on my Mac but sites will never load.
I keep getting "WPA Key" incorrect error if I try to reconnect before I restart Wifi tethering on my Arc. Thing is this only happens when WPA is on, if I choose no security it works completely fine without any issues.
I also tried connecting from my Nexus One and the same thing happened after a few minutes, so it shouldn't be some sort of conflict between Arc and my MBP.
Everything else on my Arc works perfectly, I already tried a hard reset but it didn't help. Does anyone know what else could I try before sending my phone back to SE?
anyone?
Hey did you find a solution? Or has anyone got any suggestions, I have the exact same problem. I can connect to the phone for about 2 minutes then it suddenly stops working. I then cannot reconnect properly untill everything is reset. I tried using it without security after finding this post and it works for me as well - I don't want to have it open though, im in halls of residence so people will try using it. Im on three mobile, I wondered if it is a possible problem with their branded software. (USB tethering works perfectly)
I also cannot connect to the update service through the phone, it fails everytime but there is nothing wrong with the 3g connection etc, and only the update service has problems. I know this is not important, but it could be a sign that something is wrong so it is annoying me a little
Thanks
W
