Hi, I don't know what happend but my GPRS T-Mobile USA only works ONE TIME when I do a Soft Reset in my XDA, but If I disconnect and TRY the Conection again, the PPC only Showme the next Error:
"Dialed: internet2.voicestream.com
Cannot Connect for an unknown reason. ......"
If I try the internet3.voicestream.com or wap.voicestream.com, the Same Problem, Only I resolve the Problem with a Soft-Reset, but If disconect my device I CAN'T Connect again.
Any IDEA Friends????
Thanks.
Nothing YET????????? :?: :?: :?:
just for the sake of not letting your question go unanswered...
i experienced same problem once b4, its due to a program that
just dont work right on xda... never found out what it was. because i hard reset the device, and it worked fine after that!
its realy just easier to hard reset your device. and just restore files thru the activesync... restoring from a backup file will restore the problem as well.
i know im not much help, but if its bugging you THAT much, just hard rest
good luck
Hey RobertoLV my GPRS is working you fine, where are you?
GPRS Service
Sometimes T-Mobile has some problems with the net. So if it isn't connecting (Wap or....) call the customer-service to make a reset for your line. After the reset it is working great again.

WHY???????
If I connect to GPRS, then stop connection and then try to connect again it says: "cannot connect, make sure your phone is turned on etc....". I have to softreset again and it will connect, but only one time!!!
It is possible that I have to softreset eachtime I need to connect to gprs??????
Please help!!!
I have MDA2 with T-Mobile 1.60 ROM (english)
Thank you
update: instead of a Soft Reset I discovered that it's enough to Turn Flight mode ON and OFF immediately after. But of course there is a problem!!!
Hi,

Thanks a lot carlosz!!!
Hello. Hope this helps.
I flashed my german MDA C with the imate ROM. Everything worked fine, except the connection with GPRS.
For example, when I connected to the Internet (I use the german Vodafone Provider), the connection was stable. But only for this one connection.
When I disconnected pressing the red button longer than 2 seconds, I never was able to get a new connection (Error Message, that no connection could be made by unknown causes). The only way to get out of this mess, was a Soft-Reset.
Another problem was: When receiving an MMS, there was no way to get a connection to the Internet after that (Error Message, that no connection could be made by unknown causes). Only way to get out of this, was to make another Soft-Reset.
I did the following:
Start-->Programs--> Wireless Modem-->Tools-->Options
I unchecked the "Preset GPRS Connection" (it was checked by default).
Since then.....everything works as it should
Ok, the GPRS Connection doesnt disconnect automatically after using it, but it re-connects after using the "Red-Button-Workaround".
Hope, I can help with this.
Greetings from Cologne,
Arniebirdy
thanks man i will try it i have been having problems with my gprs connection..... another thing what is "Red-Button-Workaround" ?
Hi.
The Jam, can't disconnect automatically.
With the "workaround" I meant, that you can disconnect GPRS connection by pressing the red button about two seconds.
Hope this helps.
Greetings from Cologne,
Arniebirdy
ahh thanks man... didn't know that... now i can get rid of gprs monitor...
cheers
Had the same problem, but mine mysteriously solved itself during this weekend. My wModem settings are the default.
hhmmm, yesterday...everything worked fine.
Today, I have the same error again. I post a pic of the error message. Someone any ideas ?
Greetings from Cologne,
Arniebirdy
i get the same damn message... and in addition to it... i the sginal bar goes like that ..... searching for network!!!!!!
arniebirdy:
That setting didn't help me, still getting error-message on my second connection-attempt without soft-resetting first. Using Vodafone Sweden.

The problem is not magician only, see this thread at Tekguru,
Restore default
I had the same problem, have made a hard reset and all he works well is always connected also after before the time. I have made the backup. Then I have modified the configurazini in order to try the wap and have modified the proxy after made the same error did not connect the second time. I have restored the backup and all it works. It must be something that wines modified in the registry when it modifies the logon formulations. I trying to understand what is the problem. Excused for my English.
Why start a new thread on this issue, when there's already a very active thread here, with what appears to be a solution?

Hi,
Has anyone had the same problem than me ?
I connect to the Internet every 30 minutes to get my emails. But at least once every day , the GPRS hangs , or activesync and I get an error message: Error code: CONNMGR_34
Does anyone know a solution to this ?
Or how to reset only the radio ? Instead of doing a Soft reset ?
Thanks for helping me out
Micman
Holding the right button for a few seconds resets your GPRS connection, but that might not work in you situation. What you're describing has never happend to me, you might want to consider upgrading your radio firmware?
well, i have the newest rom on my s100.
could it be that there are programs that mess it up?
Hi, I have owned a dopod 818 pro for about 1 month, and a new problem has come up. Synchronization used to work perfectly, but recently when I connect it to my computer, it will either read as "connecting" but not really making the connection, or show up on my computer as "synchronization error" without letting me know why. The latter is happening more frequently, and soft resets do not always help. Does anyone have similar problems?
Also, I have been wanting to automatically disconnect from GPRS/EDGE everytime the device checks emails (every 30 mins for example). How do you do that?
I've had similar Activesync issues. very annoying.
I find soft resets usually do help 95% of the time... but am close to doing a complete hard reset!
Quite possible that a firewall is blocking your AS software. Have you installed any AV or firewall software recently by any chance? If disabling your firewall's doesn't help, just uninstall AS and reinstall but this time do it on a different drive. This has helped many people over time and should probably help you out too.
A HARD reset of my device seems to have helped - for now!
Unfortunately I have tried all the following:
1) disable firewall (zone alarm in this case)
2) uninstall then reinstall AS to a different hard drive
3) hard reset
I wonder if it has anything to do with the software I install onto the device. However, I have had it for over a month, and I use the same set of software the whole time (even after hard reset) - sbp pocket plus, pocket informant, phatnote. I am getting quite frustrated now, having to soft reset every time I want to synchronize the device. I think I may try to hard reset again and not install anything on it other than the data from my outlook, and see if that will work.
BTW, anyone know how to auto-disconnect GPRS/EDGE after the device automatically connects to GPRS and check email? I have tried to set the GPRS_autodisconnect in the registry from 0 to 1, but it doesn't work.
Thanks.

I share your pain. It's a big PITA to soft-reset just to have it sync up "properly". Just taking the device out of your cradle (for lunch, or whatever) and sticking it back in will result in sync errors
As an alternative, you can try hard reset, followed by a soft reset so that it does not install the applications bundled inside the ExtROM - I think they are the SmartDialer, Cyberon Voice Commander, and a couple others.
Hi, I had the problem - after disconnect from GPRS, I am unable to reconnect unless I reset the device. I just try Phone Alarm which has an icon to connect and disconnect the GPRS connection - and now I can disconnect and reconnect without problem. Give it a try. Download from http://www.pocketmax.net/phoneAlarm.htm
You use the Windows Mobile 5.0 for PocketPC ActiveSync patch for the 818 Pro to solve the problem
You can use the Spb GPRS Monitor to connect and disconnect the GPRS connection!
Hi all
Could anybody please help me.
The Problem
WiFi is connecting to my network BUT when i try to access internet all i get is page not found please check and try again.

I'm About to perform a full hard reset. but i don't want to because i just got it set up how i like it.

just done a hard reset and it's still not working

Resorted to drastic Hard Reset. Working fine now
Proberly some S**TY Software disabled it
