Perfect Apps for HD2 - HD2 General

Hi guys,
Hurray.. Finally I got my HD2 yesterday. After a month discussions between iphone and HD2 finally i went toward HTC and purchased this little miracle.
I am just starting this thread to list down best applications available for this new windows phone.
I saw many forums about iPhone Apps but none of the very useful one for windows phone. Please help to make it a best thread to list down all useful HD2 Apps.
London Tube App
I am looking for following equivalent London Tube app for my HD2. This link shows a very cheap app for iphone. Do you know if there is any such a cheap one for HD2.

Thanks,
Jit

Visual IT do a nice Tube / London-Map application for Windows-Mobile, which will work on the HD2, but it's not very "finger friendly", and it's not as cheap as the iPhone app. (£5.99 to £14.99).
Link: http://www.visualit.co.uk/PocketPC/tube.htm
As an alternative, you can download the free PDF map from TFL, and open that on the HD2. No routing, but saves carrying a paper map.

Someone recommended TubeRun to me. It's on the MarketPlace and a bargain at £1.19!
There's a vid showing it in action here...

It could get very messy, unless you'd be willing to maintain the thread (reading all the new posts and updating the original post with any new information etc..)
It could turn out to be quite a bit of work!

Surely, using Google Maps, with the Transport Layer - is better (and free)?

tube map for HTC HD2
The pdf tube map from the london transport site does not download to the HTC HD 2 :-( anywhere else it can be got from without paying?

go to:
http://m.snaptu.com
and download "snaptu" free. good JAVA program for facebook, twitter, football results, news etcetra.... You need to run JBlend on hd2 and then run "snaptu" when ever you want to use it.

You definitely have to check out Cookies Home Tab for the HD2. Definitely the most useful thing you can load on your phone and it's free.
Regards
Gerhardvr

Best app: haret.exe because it lets you load Android and other Linux OSes. Since Skyfire doesn't work anymore you can still run an Android build with full flash 10.1 support. You can keep your Winmo apps and return to it from Android just by soft-resetting.

Programs that don't have good option (suggestion to develop new).
For me Pocket PC are missing 2 good programs. In 2 areas.
Media player (Video) - With support for DivX and XviD, and subtitles (srt, sub and txt).
Money expenses - For manage money, in every day usage. With category suport, payment agenda (and maybe reminder), option to export (backup) database, and maybe graphic for expenses to see where you money is going for.

pomod - Mod player for PocketPC

NOTE This does not belong to me I found it and wanted to share it so enjoy
pomod - Mod player for PocketPC
-------------------------------
v.0.7.6
pomod ?!?
---------
- pomod is music player for PocketPC.
- pomod is based on the fmod libraries [www.fmod.org].
- pomod is free.
- pomod can reproduce these file formats: MP3, OGG, WAV, MOD, IT, XM and S3M.
Requeriments:
-------------
- A PPC with Windows Mobile 2002/2003/2005 or Windows CE (not tested yet).
- .NET Compact framework libraries installed (by default on WM2003 and up)
Installation
------------
- pomod does not require any special installation:
1- Choose your package according your processor type (ARM, MIPS or SH3)
2- Unpack the zip file
3- Copy the two files of the program (pomod.exe and fmodce.dll) in any folder you want
4- Execute pomod.exe!!
Usage
-----
- Play, stop, add file, save list... is really necessary to explain this?
- You can save the config of the program, it is always stored in a file called "conf.xml", the file is automatically read when program starts and should be stored on the same folder than pomod.exe is.
- pomod can save the playlist when closing and retrieve it when the application starts automatically. It can be configured through 'config' menu.
Can I help?
-----------
- Of course my friend!!! I need new ideas, beta-testers, and much more!!
- Take a look on google code project: http://code.google.com/p/pomod

Known bugs
----------
- If pocket pc is suspended while pomod is running, usually next song played causes a program crash, you are advised!!
- As far as I know, it does not run on smartphones.
---------------------------------------------------------------------
Enjoy it!!

I always like to check out new music players; however, if this one always crashes when playing while PPC is suspended, it is of no use to me. It kind of looks a little like Winamp which is cool to me - Is it skinnable. Once some of the bugs are worked out, I will probably try it out, but not as is. I already have S2P, WMP, Audio Manager, TCPMP and Mort Player on my device all which work really nice.
interesting.. i am using gsplayer with plugins for amymusic, tcpmp with SAP plugin for atari xl/xe music, need to check that one..
S2P, WMP, Audio Manager - sucks.

[Q] Move apps to SDCard - Froyo

After failing miserably at trying to partition my 16GB SD Card and using Apps2SD - I upgraded to Froyo which as we know is the only ROM that allows us to move apps to the SD Card. My question is which type of APPS can I actually move, because after going through all of the installed apps on my EVO, the only one which allowed me to move it was ACT 1 video player.

Reserved for Future
Another reservation for the future
These are the apps that I consider a MUST have for my usage:
1.)Mvideo player - infinitely better than the stock video player and can display subtitles also comes with great folder management
2.) SMS backup and restore - to back up and restore my SMS inbox when I flash to a new ROM
3.)Opera Mobile - Something thats pretty much close to the functionality of a Safari browser, puts the stock andriod browser to shame!
Other apps already mentioned like G+, flashlight app, youtube app and ect!
Titanium Backup is a must... especially for the n00bz who are always begging for non-wipe versions of roms.
Other than that:
Astro File Manager
PowerAmp
RealVNC
Screen Off and Lock (I don't like to use the physical power button)
Tasker
WiFi File Manager
Screen Filter
QuickPic
MoboPlayer
The rest is not that important, but these are mandatory for me.
This belongs in the Themes & Apps section.
