I get an echo whenever i answer a call, it is so annoying to hear your own voice come back at you when you are in a convo...any ideas?
Happens everywhere...near equipment away from equipment...outside or inside

My experience is that, when there is a call waiting call comes in, the speaker phone turns on by itself. You may check if you have the same situation. Your other side cannot listen to you because you are far away from your phone and the speaker phone cannot pick up your voice.
Here is the fix from the forum if your case falls into this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=3336118

cheers mate thats sorted me out
when i am on the phone with someone and another person is calling me i can anwer this call - unfortunately on htc I only hear nothing.
does manila/winmo/htc supports call waiting/conf calls and features like that?
I'm not sure what your issue is, but here are some details:
You can activate call waiting, if your operator supports it. here is how it works: you are on the phone with person A, person B is calling. While person B is calling, you'll hear short beeps (always in a row of two beeps) thus letting you know there is some 'activity' going on.
You can answer the second call and put the first on hold. In the meantime, person A will hear a sound similar to the 'beeeep-beeeeep-beeeeep' calling sound.
When you decide you want to make a conference, you simply click Menu -> Conference, and now you have both calls connected.
In case you have several calls on hold, you can select which calls you want to make the conference with.
Hello, does anyone experience this? You call someone and then it doesnt ring.. I tried like 3 people and it does the same thing.. eventually it disconnects...
this happens to me sometimes, eventually the other person on the line will hang up because im still thinking its trying to connect. i usually put it on speaker so i hear the ringing then turn it right back off. but yes, i do have this issue.
yes i have this issue with CM5b3....if you set it to speaker then back to regular it will work, im not sure if this is a CM issue or just a n1 issue....i also noticed it happens mainly when the call previous was on speaker phone when the call ended, seems to be a problem in the sound routing subsystem
I know I must be missing something easy here.
When I am on a call and I get a second call I can answer the call. I can transfer between the two calls, but I can't hang up on one of the calls. The second call seems to stay connected, even if the other party hung up the line.
How can I hang up on one of the calls without disconnecting both calls?
Thanks!
Yeah, it sucks. That's CDMA for ya. I always worry about it using my minutes because it's usually a landline that I stop talking to & switch back to a cell call.
I just drag the notifications bar down and click the end call button to the right of the person's name.
So I know this isn't a location issue as I'm in the same area calling the same people as my prior phone. Today someone complained about not being able to hear me that there was static on their end; I will ask the next time someone says they can't hear me to see if they hear static as well. Idk if it's coincidence but multiple times it has happened when I hold the phone with my left hand to my left ear. I don't think it's do to blocking the mic because after they can't hear me I move to my other hand/ear and the problem persists until I call them back.
