I've experienced this twice, after a soft reset, both times by pressing the button under the cover: the restarted screen shows everything much darker, mostly in a purple hue. It is resolved by another soft reset, but I wonder if anybody else has noticed this behaviour and whether this has anything to do with the different screentechnology (capacitive) for I have never seen this happen in other devices.

Has anyone else experienced the following problem:
After using the k-Jam for a while (often after a lot of opening/closing the keyboard), my screen alignment gets out of whack. Basically the touch-screen alignment moves by about an icon's (e.g. the close application icon) width to the right.
If I do a soft reset, most of the time this fixes the alignment (though sometimes I need to run through a screen alignment wizard again to correct it).
Has anyone else experienced this? Does anyone know what might be happening?
Thanks!
Happens to me but I don't do a soft reset. I have seen this many times before in the past with other devices from different companies. What is happening is that the flexi-lead from the display to the keyboard is moving as they normally add lubicant to the flexi-cable port. What I have found that works and is quicker than a soft rest or align the screen is to simply open and close the keyboard fully.
Hello,
after installing some applications my display resolution is somehow damaged.
The whole screen is flickering and everything is more bright than before.
The screen looks strange as every horizontal line of the display is followed by a thin dark line, so that the whole screen is in stripes.
Furthermore the icons and text seems to be slightly bigger.
In the settings the info claims to have 800x480 and 65k colors.
All applications still work fine, but look strange with the stripes and the flickering.
What worries me most is that even after hard reset the damaged screen resolution is kept.
I hope someone has a solution.

Interlacing
That's strange, it sounds like interlacing. When you say you did a hard reset do you mean a proper hard reset, as in, turn off, two silver soft keys and reset button under battery cover, reinstalls the OS?
If you did that and it isnt fixed then it looks like you have a hardware problem. It sounds like a sync issue because it's giving the effects of interlacing (i don't think the screen is interlaced, it shouldn't be, but it's possible).
In that case, you need a new phone.
documented hard-reset
Hi alias_neo,
the reset I did was with the silver buttons and the power button.
It then asked me if i really wanted to continue and had to press the R-key.
It then took a few minutes until the phone was up again and it was a fresh install.
If some software was able to change the display to interlaced, there must be a way to reverse it again.
Regards,

Solved
The way the damage came the same way it went away again.
Suddenly the interlaced dislpay stopped
After hanging up from a phone call the top left corner of my screen was really bright. There were two vertical lines down the screen and the screen was transparent and flickering. I could still see my home screen and the screen was functional. I restarted the phone and it was still acting up. Only after turning the phone off for a few mins did it stop. Has anyone else experienced this or have any ideas on what would cause it? I haven't had any issues with the phone, no drops or anything. Currently running aokp with matrix kernel.

I had this issue too. My phone just arrived today. In my case the problem occurred after power cycling the phone (trying to get the WiFi to connect.. grrrr) The boot process was fine but once I got to the launcher my screen was flickering like a strobe light. I tried to power off and back on and it still happened. I didn't give it several minutes like you did so I'm not sure if it would have gone away. Since I hadn't really configured the phone yet I simply did a factory reset and it was fine. Seems to be a software issue. I hope it doesn't happen again but if it does I'll see if just leaving it off for a while helps. I hope so because I don't want to have to factory reset all the time!

Whenever I enter camera mode, there will be one black line across the screen. Sometimes it just disappear, but whenever I double click on the screen to focus on the image, the black line will appear. Anyone actually experienced the same problem? Does anyone know how to solve this issue or do I have to go for a exchange for the phone.
Anyway, I tried to restart, shut down and factor data reset my phone but it did not resolved the camera problem.
Sounds like you got a bad phone. Bummer. Mine does not do that.
ok,
Well unit was working fine for a bout 3weeks from new, now today i just about to park up, and without touching it, the colours just inverted or something like that changed, Factory Reset did not solve it, and Disconnecting Power Cables also did not solve it.
For example the boot Manu from Black background with text, it’s now White Background with Black text?
Any ideas here?
Thanks

Hi Friend, were you able to solve your problem? I have the same problem with my PX-30 multimedia. I'm thinking about opening it and seeing if the cables are connected correctly.
