I am just wondering how can I check the date a HD2 was made? Reason is because the later model HD2s like mine, aren't compatible with some drivers for Android. Thanks
Found this from another thread:
You can extract it from the serial number, which has the following format:
HTxyz..........
x=year
y=month
z=day
All three have the following range:
1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H, J, K, L, M, N, P, R, S, T, V, W, X, Y, Z
where for example A=10, B=11 ... Z=31
For this serial HT9BGNW03667 that DOM was Nov. 16, 2009 so since mine is HT03Y.... would the DOM be March 30, 2010?
If you buy it from the online Motorola store is it already unlocked, and is unlocking the phone from Verizon fairly easy?
I ask because i am looking on craigslist about the phone and some people don't know or know how to unlock the phone.
To clarify things up, all phones sold by Verizon are worldwide GSM compatible now but you still need to check the baseband whether your country's telco support the related bands.
If you use your phone outside of US, you do not have to worry about Verizon not letting you popping in another sim card.
Please do not confuse with the term unlock as it may refer to the bootloader. Basically the Moto Z Force droid's bootloader cannot be unlocked, but you shouldnt worry about that as it does not affect you in your current situation
The moto z force and play are both factory unlocked. I'm using mine on T-Mobile and it works no issues. I didn't even have to edit the APN's for MMS and data. It just works.

Good evening, I'm ITALIAN and i would like to buy a motorola X force to run it in EUROPE and especially in ITALY. I noticed that on ebay.com there are many phones used with UNLOCKED, and many with the word BLOCKED. Many phones are used and no battery charging box (most used ones) and others are new at good prices. I would like to know if VERIZON has two motor models z force one locked and one no. Then I would like to know if the phone at this link: h t t p : / / w w w . e b a y . c o m / i t m / M o t o r o l a - M o t o - Z - F o r c e - D r o i d - F o r c e - D r o i d - 3 2 G B - W h i t e - F i n e - G o l d - V e r i z o n - / 2 0 1 9 5 2 2 7 5 2 4 6 ?
(You have to remove the spaces because XDA does not put me in the links)
could work in Italy without any problems (with the bands it has the phone, even if the phone lacks the 20 LTE Italian band). I thank you in advance.
My moto z force did not work at all in Italy, either in Rome or Naples.
Anybody knows if this phone comes unlocked for US or does Verizon need to unlock it?
Thanks!

I bought a Oneplus 7T (HD1905, International America) 9 months ago and I still have the problem that the signal drops (like doing a refresh) every time I use a lot of data and when I'm streaming ..... worse is the situation. This headache has been frustrating. Now I want to sell it to get out of this problem since I have requested assistance from Oneplus for more than 11 times, I put the issue as a title, a staff answers me by sending me the instructions to send them the logs cats attached to the recordings of the display. After sending them everything they ask me, they never answer me again through the same feedback chat (which is the procedure to seek help for problems with the device). After several days, I reopen another threads, they return and they answer me (the same person or another person), sending me the instructions to send them the logcat with a recording of the display and then I send everything as requested. ... they never answer again. I have done all the Oxygen upgrades (both beta and full upgrade) and it still has the same problem. SINCERELY, I no longer know what to do with this situation. Well, I want to buy a new cell phone for me and my wife and I had thought of buying the Oneplus 8 Pro but I don't know what problems this new version could bring (if any) and I don't know which specific model to buy since I live in Pennsylvania and have service with Cricket wireless (for 5 years). Apart from that I travel to a Latin American country 1 time a year and I want it to serve me both there and here in the United States. Who can advise me?
Thank you in advance and God bless you all!
Nobody? Please help! I wont the same problem as my 7T
Seems kinda hardware issue on network try to diagnose this on OnePlus official center. Incase you like to upgrade better buy OnePlus 8 Pro which perfect for 2020.
12GB international or EU.
I have the 2023 and can't fault the beast
I have the 2025 on T-Mobile USA, and this is an excellent device!

Oh wow! So strange, because i saw a lot of forums with that issues. Maybe you have wifi in your home but, i wont pay wifi service in my home because...spend double for internet service and anyway, Cricket bring me a good internet (up to 80 or 90 Mbps download and 20 Mbps upload speed, same in Hotspot) and i dont need any other service. It is frustrating and disappointing this major failure of losing the signal when using data!

I live in Hazleton PA and i dont have Oneplus service center nearby my location. The point is that nobody.........:no one know anything ( Neither do the employees who attend the feedback forums) about why the signal drop when users use a lot of data.

2020 version is for Malaysia, i thinks i'll be problems with frecuency's here in US.
Ok guys! Here I found this page that clearly shows which frequencies the Oneplus 8 Pro covers and easily shows on a sheet which 8 pro model is better for each year. Very interesting, please see it. I hope it serves as a guide!

I hope it doesn't turn out to be your carrier. I had a hell of a time with TMO in North Carolina until I got a phone with newer frequencies. Now no problems. Also have 2025. Had TMO phone for a few months before, but rooting and mods were a pain.

I did a lot of research on the frequencies and the Europe and other versions didn't have all of them. That is why I abandoned European Samsung's. The American ones were locked up tight.
Maybe you should have waited for the upcoming T version - expected in October - ha ha..

My carrier is Cricket Wireless (AT&T company). And the 2025 version cover all Cricket frecuency's. That is the problem with the 7T (HD1905) that doesnt cover the most importants AT&T frecuency's.

Heres a good site with all the bands for each network, bare in mind this doesn't represent the devices capabilities, neither does the site you listed, only the network bands used.
https://www.kimovil.com/en/frequency-checker/US/oneplus-8-pro
According to GSM arena they list these as the functional bands available. although it doesn't specify the device, it'd be good to get a more comprehensive list for each model in it's entirety.
2G bands GSM 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900 - SIM 1 & SIM 2
CDMA 800 / 1900 & TD-SCDMA
3G bands HSDPA 800 / 850 / 900 / 1700(AWS) / 1800 / 1900 / 2100
4G bands 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 8, 12, 13, 17, 18, 19, 20, 25, 26, 28, 32, 34, 38, 39, 40, 41, 42, 46, 66 - EU
1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 8, 12, 13, 17, 18, 19, 20, 25, 26, 28, 29, 30, 34, 38, 39, 40, 41, 46, 48, 66, 71 - NA
1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 8, 12, 17, 18, 19, 20, 26, 34, 38, 39, 40, 41, 46 - IN
1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 8, 12, 17, 18, 19, 20, 26, 34, 38, 39, 40, 41 - CN
