Hi Guys, I have just moved from the iphone to the HD2 and am having teething problems and therefore might be asking your assitance on several issues. My first question is that when trying to connect my device to my PC or laptop via bluetooth I get a message saying that the pc/laptop cannot find the bluetooth peripheral device. I therefore cannot sync via bluetooth. Windows7 gives a few suggestions but none work. Is there a fix for this?
Well,, when I upgraded to Win 7 I ran into several BT issues. My PC could not find any of my BT devices. After several days I finally found that the Bluetooth Service and Bluetooth Support Service were both set to "Manual" I set both to "Automatic" and have not had any problems since. Check these. Hope it helps.

I have upgraded my phone to dcd 2.3.2 and am unable to get my vista machine to see that it is Bluetooth PAN capable. I am unsure what I need to do to get this to work.
When I look at what services the device supports on the bluetooth side of my vista machine, it only says active sync and Bluetooth DUN.
Any ideas on how to enable this?
I had similar issues with my new vista laptop, I ended up deleting the partnership and re-paired the two machines. Seemed to clear up my issues with only the PAN service missing.
accept incoming beams enabled?
Now ive looked around this site for a BTPAN fix for my phone. Ive tried a fix for another phone with no luck so what im thinkin is maybe a way to install the widcomm stack on my htc, but i cant find a way. I noticed this is a common problem for my phone. Maybe someone can shed some light on the issue. Thanx.
When you say BTPAN are you simply using to pair with other devices or pc? I have a xv6900 with Verizon (WM6.1) and my pairs just fine with any device..including my LINUX EEE PC which I use for bluetooth dialup.
i can pair my device just fine with headsets or laptops, im talking about a bluetooth personal area network. its kinda like a more consistant pairing. it enables you to use active sync via bluetooth, the main reasons i want it are to use my phone as a modem for my laptop via bt, and to use my phone as a gps reciever for my laptop again via gps. ive noticed all sortsa people are having this problem with the vogue and vista. just the other day i found a solution, i havent posted it yet. http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=39305&page=2 so here it is.
Great Start
I too am searching for a solution.
I have a problem with file transfer using bluetooth.
I recently unstalled the latest stock HTC WM6.5 rom for my Diamond 2.
Then I tried to add a A2DP headset to my laptop, and to do this had to install a new Broadcom BT driver to my laptop.
After loading the new BT driver to the laptop I had to re-pair my phones (the Diamond and a Samsung E2550 standard phone).
After re-pairing both phones I find I can transfer files from both phones to the laptop, and I can transfer files from the laptop to the Samsung.
However when I try to transfer files to the Daimond, I get an error on the laptop saying 'No Service'.
In the laptop BT 'Services' I notice that one of the services for the Samsung is 'File Transfer(Obex)', but this does not appear in the services list for the diamond.
Has anyone any ideas how I get this to work. How can I get 'File Transfer (Obex) working on the Diamond?
NOTE: File transfer worked on the Diamond before I upgraded the rom on the phone and the BT driver on the laptop.
2nd NOTE: File transfer between the Samsung and Diamond works OK - still not transferring from PC to Diamond though
Thanks.

Touch Tools has an option to "Enable OBEX File Transfer Service":
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=683951
Would be nice to here about, if this works for you.
Thanks Braunie - but the problem is not with the enabling in the registry, the correct entry is already there
; Enable Bluetooth OBEX file transfer
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Obex]
"IsEnabled"=dword:00000001

So the problem is more sinister than that.
So any assistance sorting this would be greatly appreciated.
It appears that the problem is not the phone - its the laptop.
To get an A2DP driver for my bluetooth headset I had to install the Widcomm bluetooth driver as A2DP is not supported in Win 7 or Acer blutooth drivers.
I uninstalled the widcomm driver and the standard Acer bluetooth driver works - I can transfer files to the phone again.
So I'm back to square one - use the standard driver and have no A2DP, or use Widcomm and lose the ability to transfer files to the phone.

Live could be so easy if some software-developers would think a step further.
The main contender for problems appears to be Microsoft.
For some reason they have never bothered to tidy up their bluetooth drivers - even though they push both PC and Mobile versions of Windows. Another example is that I cannot connect to my HTC using Bluetooth in Windows Mobile Device Centre - even though I have set the bluetooth as enabled in WMDC.
From the posts on various forums etc it appears that a lot of people have similar problems to mine with A2DP, as well as other general issues with standard bluetooth drivers.
I will keep hunting around to try and find a bluetooth stack that resolves both my issues in one driver - don't hold out much hope though.

With A2DP I have no experience. But I think Windows Mobile has still a better bluetooth-support than android or so. As example rSAP-support for the handsfree in my car works perfect. This means that my HTC TD2 automatically connects to my car, the radio of my TD2 will be disabled because the handsfree has its own. The phone-book will automatically synchronised with the handsfree.
By the way; the bluetooth-connection with activesync (WinXP) works with no problems for me.
Wish you good luck on your "quest" ...

I have no problems with the mobile.
Bluetooth on the Diamond II recognises the A2DP headset, and other hands free headsets, pairs and sends files to the laptop and ends/recieves files from other phones - all good.
It appears to be a problem with Win 7 on the laptop which gives the grief.
I had no problem using bluetooth in Activesync on XP, the problems arose with the introduction of Windows Mobile Device Centre in Vista and Win7.

Hi guys,
I'm a complete noob on Android since I've bought a new X5, my first android, only yesterday. I came from a Nokia/Blackberry world so the differences are huge.
I have a couple of fundamental needs on a phone witch are bluetooth connectivity and Synchronization with Outlook. Both of these options are possible as far as I can understand with this phone but they are not working.
The bluetooth pairs with other devices but does not connect. I've tried car hands free, other phones and my laptop. it says paired but not connected.
The Hi Suite software requests me to install the usb drivers but the ones that come with the phone have a \adb_driver\android_winusb.inf that I cannot install because it returns an error when I try to right click-install. I'm running W7 Pro 64bit SP1.
Problem solved.... just a mater of turning usb debug on in Aplication/development phone options. One to go
Finally is there any tutorial for ROM updates in this forum?
Sorry for the long post and thanks in advance,
Miguel
In regards to BT, you have to retry when it says paired but not connected.
If you wanna try different Roms, this is probably the best guide:
http://android.modaco.com/topic/341011-ultimate-guide-to-the-huawei-u8800/
And this is probably the best source of stock Roms:
http://wiki.modaco.com/index.php/Huawei_Firmware_U8800
Good luck!
PS: With tens of Roms I've tried, the BT connectivity is still not great on my X5.
I've managed to connect the phone to the car hands free after about 20 attempts of pairing/unpairing ... I can't connect with the PC dough. Seems that the bluetooth stack of this phone sucks. Is there any BT alternative?
Thanks for you assistance .

I agree, BT sucks and so far none of the Roms have overcome that problem.
Hello everyone,
I tried to find a solution for the past several hours and I couldn't find anything to help me fix the problem.
So the problem is that I cannot connect to paired devices through bluetooth. I use a Nexus 4 with stock kitkat 4.4.4.
The pairing is successful, but no profiles are added and that's probably the reason I cannot connect. I tried two laptops (windows 8.1 and 7) with up-to-date drivers and I can't seem to get it working. I tried file transfer and Music and audio but it tells me that the pc can't connect to the phone.
I tried switching bluetooth on and off multiple times, tried to switch wi-fi and mobile data off, I also tried to make the pair again in safe mode. None of these actions worked and I was wondering if any of you can help me with this problem. I am aware that there are lots of issues with bluetooth around, but I couldn't find any threads pointing to profile problems.
