Can you get like a whole day of use out of it without running out and if so how much is usually left?

MY POST
IME.... less than 1 day heavy use, 1 day of average use, 2 days of light use.
hopefully there will be a new battery soon
I am not very hopeful for a 'same size, bigger capacity' battery for the Leo.
Over on the Blackstone boards where I came from just yesterday (just got my Leo to replace my Blackstone), there is a significant thread over there discussing larger capacity batteries which did not require a modified backplate and therefore a thicker phone. The result of that thread is that most people were disputing with sellers on ebay because the 1500mAH or 1700mAH batteries were identical in capacity to the 1350 standard battery.
Hopefully with this device at first glance seeming even more popular than the Blackstone was initially, we may see more suitable accessories and upgrades.
Honestly, I cannot wait for HSPL/USPL so I can upgrade to the latest EnergyROM. In some ways because I am stuck with the HTC ROM, the Leo feels like a bit of a sidegrade rather than an upgrade for the time being

I have just got a new battery from HongKong for my HD.
It is 1500 mAh and they claim 50-80% longer use after 2 or 3 charge cycles.
it is an X level High Capacity made by Momax, a very large company making batteries for many companies. Comes in full retail blister pack and is specific for the HD. I have used a normal Momax before but not the X Level, will report after a few days use.
Cost me USD $20 from Ebay about £13. ordered on 21st December and arrived today. Ebay seller is eshopmomax. their web site is www.shop.momax.net, included was a discount voucher for HKD $17 off my next purchase before Dec 2009..
oooh, sounds nice! Will eagerly look forward to your next post on this.
I wonder how much they pay for advertisement on this forums

Sorry but you will not get anywhere neat 50% improvement. At most you will get about 12% improvement going from 1350 to 1500. Claiming that the capacity will increase from 1500 to over 2000mah in several charges is very odd. Why not advertise it as a 2000mah battery - simply because it cant.

I assumed this was a forum to share information with others. I only wrote what I thought would be of interest. If I have this wrong, my apologies, I will not bother in the future and no I am not paid by them. I just quoted information from their advert.

You don't need to apologize, friend. Keep telling us about your experience with this battery. I'm interested.
Thank you for your information. Dont bother with some people who made perhaps bad experience.
Really interesting site, interesting stuff and amazing shipping costs.
I'm insterrested too to know if there is really a difference. I'm a very big user of the PDA and my battery is empty in 10 hours
Yep,
Here too. I have to re-charge every evening/night.
Momax just got a new customer...
I'm interested too in knowing the performance of the high capacity battery after say 1 month. I ordered an after market one before but it became useless quite quickly. So this time, I ordered two original battery manufactured by HTC. I have the spare with me so that I need not stinge in the usage.
Interested as well... because after a month somehow my normal battery lasts somewhat more than half a day, even with medium-low phone usage (no Bt, wifi or data)
So, if this is the standard of the proper HTC battery, i'm more than interested maybe in a better quality and even aftermarket higher capacity battery.
Keep us posted on your experience (shipping, battery life etc...)
Update: Just ordered a battery, charger and silicon case for <40 Euro inc. shipping... might as well try myself
Every night?????
It sounds me terrific.
Me, in your shoes, should review my connection settings. Possibly, someone is connecting unceasingly and draining your battery.
Three days ago, I travel Pamplona to Malaga (near 1000 Km.), using GPS, phone, mp3, ebook reading, data connecting...
Yesterday I have returned, and, yes, I must to re-charging (7 %). Two complete days of intense use.
Think deeply who's eating your power, mate.
Regards.
Nacho Garcia.
I too seem to be able to get two days of intense usage before battery runs out. HD really surprised me with its incredibly long battery life. I might not have bought the extra battery had I known that the battery is that good. However, with the extra battery, I start forming the habbit of letting it run to warning level before charging in order to prolong its life, and I carry the spare when I see that the remaining level is getting low.

With my standard battery I would take it off charge and with moderate use (2 or 3 calls and check emails every hour by the time I got home after 8 hours battery was on about 20-25% so had to charge every night. Put in the new battery about 10am Yesterday, again low/moderate use when I went to bed at 11pm it was on 30%. By the time I got up this morning it was flat. Dont know what is draining the power.....
just bought one from momax yesterday and paid via paypal, it´s already on the way, I´ve been mailed a tracking number. Very quick service
Among others, both wifi and dataconnections will sap power, but you might just have a bad battery. Using the tweaks found on this forum (read the wiki) there's an option to release the dataconnection if unused (just like the standard wifi option) which might help. Perhaps you could buy one of these high capacity ones seeing as they're not expensive (otherwise you wouldn't have the HD ) and see if it makes a difference?
I live in HK and I bought mine Momex weeks ago, however, it's slightly bigger than the original and the battery cover was popped out a little bit around the volume button..didn't use that thereafter.... just thinking to buy a spare original one when it comes out in HK.

Say WHAT!? Did anyone else get that too?
So i was reading on android and me, the ask andy section, and there was this question:
2. codethief @androidandme #AskAndy http://tinyurl.com/mnao3a says that the Magic’s battery life’s much better than the G1’s. Can you confirm that?
Yes, the battery included with the HTC Sapphire/Magic last much longer than my G1. The G1 shipped with a 1150mAh battery and the Sapphire comes with a 1300mAh one. In addition to the higher capacity battery, it appears other optimizations have been made.
The difference in the batteries might appear small, but it is almost like night and day. With the G1, I had to constantly manage the battery life and it was always running low when I placed it on the charger at night. With my Sapphire, the battery is no longer an issue and I rarely even check what the percentage is.
So my question is, will this magic battery work on our g1s? and if so, it would be great if it is like this guy is saying
There are 1400mAh batteries out for the G1 already. If you want a bigger battery just buy one. There are even 2300mAh batteries but they require a different back cover due to their size.
does the 1400's make that big of a difference?
Hi,
I think my original G1 battery is finally reaching the end of its days (it generally only lasts about half a day now - but it is two years old after all!).
My question is, does anyone have any experience of the 'high capacity' batteries that are for sale on ebay? Are they ok?? Do they really last that much longer??? Are the very high capacity 'chunky' ones that come with a replacement back cover that much 'chunkier' - so much so that they don't fit comfortably in your pocket anymore???
Any help/warnings/reviews much appreciated!
Cheers!
Hello.
I have 2600 mAh and it lasts really at least 2 times the original battery does. I can only recommend it. I also use great app Juice Defender, which prolongs my battery life significantly and I get 1.5-3 days of battery life, depending on my usage.
It is bulkier that original, people notice my phone as a large one, but I got used to it and it is not a problem really. It even somehow fits better in my hand. And easily fits into regular jeans pocket, no problem.
2600 mah is the way to go. Yes chunky is good. Fat phones need love too.
sent from my superfroyo dream
Thanks for the responses guys - I'll be making a purchase later today!
Cheers!
I've just popped in a mugen battery in my xl, I must say, its big and heavy,
if anyone is interested I can post some photo's and l'll update to let ou know how I get on, my primary reason for this was the difficulty of knowing if a battery is genuine, I've bought 4 cheap ones from china all stamped official but don't seem to match the original battery, all of them seem to last less than the original, although my original had double in physical size and would no longer fit in the case, so I thought i'd take a gamble on mugen, I would of bought a standard size one from them as I've found them to be good in the past.
so far all battery monitoring apps state the capacity as the same as the cheap ones and the original which makes me think they just list the spec for the phone and don't check, does anyone know if there is a battery app for windows phone that can correctly find the capacity?
I got the battery from amazon after contacting mugen asking if they can put it in stock on amazon as my only other option was to ship from USA which was coming to almost £100
I paid £62 delivered, if its ok to post links i'll post one to the thread.
This battery is making me consider getting a 950, it looks a lot more compact the extended one for that!
** update **
only been using it 5 days, charged twice, both times had more than 30% left I just didn't want it to run out in the day.
Battery easily lasts 2 days usage but will need charging on the second night.
Phone hasn't crashed once since using this mugen battery, and this is during Britain's heatwave, haver taken around 70 photo's, usually it would of crashed at least once doing that sometimes every other photo, it still gets very hot but then I've only been using it so far in this hot weather.
I actually prefer the feel of the phone with this mugen case, feels a lot nicer to hold, its weighty but after a couple of days I got used to the weight and the feel and do prefer it, although I still think it looks silly, others have laughed at my brick phone but held it themselves and thought it felt nice, interestingly it seems to weigh about the same as a colleagues iPhone 7 big screen thingy which really surprised me.
Charging seems to take the same amount of time as the cheap ebay battery which I find most confusing
I've had some weird vibration noise when audio is active that seems to be from the case not fitting 100% perfect, I'm currently using the black one so, will try the white case in a couple of weeks and see if there is a difference, its very infrequent, and pressing the case together with the phone stops it which makes me think its not fitting 100% and causing a vibration.
Its a shame mugen don't make a standard sized 950xl battery, as at least you know it should be a quality product and it comes with a 12 month warranty which interestingly is double what the battery came with when new, at least in the UK the battery only has a 6 month warranty which makes me think Microsoft knew it was a weak point of the phone? although that's just me taking a stab in the dark and being bitter about having a naff battery in the phone.
Would I recommend this? Absolutely! but not if you care about your phones looks, if function is better than fashion buy one today, if fashion is more important, get a mozo and enjoy the QI charging which is something I do sorely miss.
After 3 days of regular usage I'm on 25% left, charged sat morning 100% at around 8 am now Monday night with 25% left, fantastic is all I can ?
this?

is uuugly... my original 1,5 year battery still works good and hold 26 hours...
That's the one, I bought it in the UK 950XL Battery Amazon
Not gonna lie, it is ugly but after a few days it sits nice in the hand, if my original ms battery hadn't killed itself I probably wouldn't of looked at this, but there I something amazing about having a powerful smartphone with a battery life that can be measured in days, for me the non crashing of the phone is the biggest appeal
added 2 screenshots of my battery usage today, has the time at the top to indicate how much it used

Hi, I'm also a Lumia 950XL owner and was considering about getting the same big 9300 mAh battery (as I think you have that one, am I correct? ).
But in the 2nd screenshot it shows you don't have Cell Coverage at all.
I've been having issues with crashes, random reboots, battery drain within 12hours, and loss of Cell Coverage a lot with my current original Microsoft battery that came with the phone when I got I about 3 years ago (end of 2015).
I've ordered a replacement battery (that they said was an original Microsoft battery) from a shop in The Netherlands, but when I got the battery, it didn't even last 8 hours after fully charging it. And after inspecting the said battery, I emailed the shop about concerns about authenticity , cause the casing of the battery was really **** (pardon my words). The bottom of the battery almost pealed of and the wrapping really didn't look at all like the original MS battery.
It's been some time since this post was last updated, so I was wondering if you were still using the Mugen Battery that you ordered with your Lumia 950XL .. . And ofcourse how it's been holding up after a year of usage?
Any advice is welcome,
The battery is holding up well, sadly, I have issues with the phone now, about 3 months ago there is something around the battery terminals that seems to be coming from inside the handset, for many months the phone was flawless, but I'm not sure if fluid has leaked out of the heat pipe now, is that even possible? when it gets very hot it freezes. Sadly I'm now on an android phone, but keep debating buying another 950 xl, the battery really helped keeping it. Easily 2 days even with heavy usage, I'm not sure why I had no cell at the time, generally it has excellent signal and didn't affect handset quality, biggest gripe was missing wireless charging, but then due to the size of the battery it wasn't so much of an issuse.
Off topic, but keeping the phone to use as a camera as clearly no android handset marches it yet, pixel is the closest after playing with so many, but considering its over twice what I paid for the 950xl I can't face buying it, the p20 Pro was very disappointing side by side comparison, again for the price disappointing.
I ended up getting both the PowerBear and the Hyperion, and I made videos for both:
PowerBear - https://youtu.be/f6KwnfrzPMY
Hyperion - https://youtu.be/h5m1H0jE2ek
TL;DW - at first I thought I liked the Hyperion better, but after a week with each, it is easy to tell the PowerBear is the superior product. It has 100 more mAh, it has much better packaging, and the physical pieces seem to be better as well.
Either one should last you from morning to night with zero concerns. Neither one would get me close to 2 full days off of one charge.
And most surprising, the V20 seemed slower after a few days, then I realized I normally restart every day due to swapping batteries. With the PowerBear and Hyperion, I would charge overnight and not need to restart the V20.
Could have been something else, but I have been using the V20 every day since November, and it was relatively smooth. I also restart it at least once a day, prior to getting the extended batteries.
So for now, I'll just use the PowerBear when I know I'm going to need some heavy duty battery life, and I'll just use the regular battery as my daily driver.

Yeah, I don't doubt it, but I don't like the brick size trade off. With the 6500/6400 mAh batteries you just get a little hump that I kind of like.
I find I don't like those rubbery covers, so I definitely wouldn't like the ZeroLemon. I did see where people would hollow out the Otterbox, but I am not that crafty
