I cannot find the network tab in my HD2 to select my network manually..
Does anyone know where can I find the setting to select my network manually?

New Hero - no data connection?

I just bought a Hero (the Telus version, so I can use the AT&T 3G). The phone itself works fine but the data connection won't connect, it won't even connect to edge or anything. I looked through all the settings and couldn't find anywhere to adjust the settings, or an option for it to find the settings automatically. How do you set it up?
You need to add the AT+T APN settings, these are under settings>wireless controls>mobile network settings>access point names.

HD2 APN settings

Where do you add new APN settings? I went to all settings/connections/connections but don't see any place to insert all the APN settings..?
Original post:
HD2 noobie here. Have it unlocked on AT&T. Phone/SMS all work fine. I don't get any internet(mail, facebook, marketplace, etc.) unless I'm on wifi. I realize being on AT&T I can only get edge(which is fine). I've been on a tmobile phone(G1 on edge prior to getting this phone) since last year with no problems. I figured it was my sim card. I took my old G1 and put my sim in there, works no problems. Also put a different sim card under my account(my dads) in my HD2, same problem. I've narroed it down to the HD2 itself but I have no clue what could be keeping it from getting on edge/internet.
I get a 'Cannot COnnect'' error that says:
Cannot connect for an unknown reason. To check your connection settings and change them if needed, tap settings. If the problem continues, reset your mobile device according to your manufactuerer's documentation and try again.

Then after hitting 'Dismiss' I see:
Network problem
Make sure your Internet connection is active and check wether other applications that rely on the same connection are working

Any idea? Maybe someone with AT&T has seen this problem before.
Cheers
Your APN settings are wrong; if you have a TMOUS or Telstra HD2 it won't have AT&T settings on it, you need to create new connection profiles with AT&T settings.
I'm assuming it uses the same APN settings as my G1 on AT&T did? But where the heck do I enter new APN settings at on this phone?
I've looked everywhere for APN settings. Can anyone help please?
settings - all settings - connections - connections
I have tried that and saw NOTHING about APN settings.
updated title. still can't figure this out. surely there are AT&T users on here that had to do this

settings tab - menu - all settings - connections - connections - add a new modem connection - name - cellular line(gprs) then fill in the rest with the at&t access point name and such like.
Then, when you have the modem created, go back to the connections - connections screen, jump to advanced tab, click select networks - and set the top option to your at&t data you just set up.

Please help me set up the APN for t-zones and mms. I have a T-Mobile unlocked HD2 that I flashed to android. I went to settings-wireless & networks-mobile networks-access point names. When I hit Access Point Names, there are no options in it, just a black screen with APN on top so I cannot add anything. How do I set up my T-mobile MMS and t-zones settings? I looked everywhere and could not find a solution. Please help!!!!

R means you are Roaming on another network (not on home network).
If it does not get back to your home network, try to select your home network by so to Settings > More networks > Mobile networks > Network operators > 'Select automatically', OR 'Search networks' to manually select your home network.

What did you mean by DNS? If it was domain name server, so it is not related to the problem you are facing. Please follow the steps I have told you above.

Sorry I meant CSC, and about the steps, I don't know exactly what I should do with that apps, excuse but I never faced this problem and because of that I don't know how to proceed!

- How did you change the CSC? By using my app 'Phone INFO ★Samsung★' --> 'Other Tools' menu --> 'CSC Changer'? Or using another tool?
- Anyway, changing the CSC should not affect roaming behavior. Please follow the steps I have told you to select your home network (either auto or manually).

You need to configure the proper APN settings for the network. click settings, mobile networks, then whatever is under "SIM card information." It should be the name of the network and phone number. Click on that. The next menu will present you with the ability to set and change APN's.
