Hello,
I found this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=511204&highlight=phenom on xda and tried this cab http://www.megaupload.com/?d=JTYUUD7K
on my HD2.
After putting my video aspect on Raw Framebuffer, it seems that it's reading flv format (put your ppc in landscape).
If it is confirmed, I'd like to thanks fenomeno83 for his post.
See you,
Franky
Edit 16/12/09 This thread should be closed because this file not working properly.
Hope someone will be able to find a flv file reader.
Sorry for this.

Hi All
I convert movies from MPG and AVI to MP4 but when I try to play them on media player it says they are in an unrecognized format.
Does any body know of a better player that is in CAB format as I can only bluetooth cab files from my MAC to my MDA.
Thanks
Steve
Go and grab TCPMP (The Core Pocket Media Player)
cool
Do you know where to get it from ?
Also is it in CAB format as I can only use CAB ?
Thanks
Steve

Just google it, its simple enough to find.
Yes, you can get cabs (it may be a zip of cabs, but you can unzip on the mac and then transfer the required cab for the ARM architecture).
Thanks
Wicked Thanks
Any others ?
Steve
May I ask - why did you convert movies from AVI 2 MP4?
I'm asking because my WMP is playing them without any problems...
In this topic you can find link to TCPMP and PocketDivXEncoder (really very handy)

Hi guys!
I have recently tried getting TCPMP to work on TP2. Without any luck.
Firstly there seemed to be a problem with it running on WinMo 6.1. That has however been fixed in a thead somewhere here on xda dev.
I have tried all three of these fixes, and while they managed to get TCPMP open after install (Not get the crash.txt msg), it caused the TP2 to crash when opening a video file (even when trying to run the video that comes with the phone (my documents -> movies)).
Anyone know of any other solutions? because i have been searching but havent found anything to get this working.
Cheers!
same problem to me, I can't even play the video recorded with my TP2. It just hang.
its special TCPMP thats, working here. I have this functional, if you want to post it, just let mi know.
JF
Make it so, please.
Why don't you use Coreplayer for playing movie clips?
I'm having not issues playing most types of movie file... Great player!
Probably because Coreplayer is not freeware.
TCPMP is the predecessor of Coreplayer
its here: http://www.digitwins.com/download/TCPMP-0.72RC1.zip
JF
No luck yet
Thanks for the link, but is this version working on yours? At least I was able to open a video file (mp4) without my TP2 crashing like it did with other recomps I've tried, but the image is all messed up with green lines and **** all over the place...
Sorry, Im not using TCPMP for viewing pics. Didnt noticed that. And Im not gonna use it fot it ;-)

Hi there... i'm having problems to get work on tp2 a player that supports subtitles. Do you know anyone? Thank you very much.
Regards.
Coreplayer dont use in touch pro 2
Coreplayer dont use with processor touch pro 2. In the web of Coreplayer it ist possible reed.
Thank you and sorry for me english
I just use this app now works like a charm.
http://divx-player-mobile.en.softonic.com/pocketpc
It is not possible for me :
- Core player can't start, I don't see the app after pressing the icon
- TCPMP-0.72RC1 open, but the videos are not working, it crashes
Is it a problem of 3D driver or somethong like that?
Well I too am using Coreplayer and it works just fine. v1.3.2 build 6909 for ARM. Plays VGA .avi files perectly...
Had the same problem with TCPMP crashing until I unchecked "DirectDraw" in Video Settings (i.e. use GDI or Raw Frame Buffer).
twana, that is brilliant, I'd given up on TCMP having tried every version I could find.
Did you find out how to fix the blacked-out buttons in the toolbar?
Black buttons are caused by the theme you're using. And yes even HTC standard theme is causing this
Hello!
Thank you Twana, TCPMP works fine for me when I put "GDI" in the video settings!
It is great.

coreplayer/tcpmp
Selecting gdi/rawframe buffer in video settings is a must. Also check tools -> preferences -> file associations if you want them to play aac mp4 etc it must be checked there.
My knowledge of formats, computers and mobile devices are pretty crap IM learning so please 4give me......
I want watch a full length film on my handset n having few problems
Wat format i need the film be? I downloaded films in mp4,and .avi there on my PC
But the file is understandably massive,do i compress it using winzip? Just i tried and dnt seem 2transfer over takes ages anyideas or pointers would b grateful thanx
Try TCPMP-0.72RC1 app...good luck!
You can find it here if you dont already have found it. Very good application, sad it isn't being developed any more.
http://picard.exceed.hu/tcpmp/test/tcpmp.smartphone.0.72RC1.cab
does anybody know if there is .flv plugin exist for TCPMP 0.72RC1 ? I couldn't get it work with flash video files, thanks in advance.
Find an software called "Touch HD Converter" and it may help you to convert videos that's fit to resolution and bitrate for Touch HD. And if you are trying to transfer huge file from PC to PPC, I sugget you swtiching the USB Mode from ActiveSync to 'Storage Card' for the best performace.
TCPMP or Coreplayer but better if you use HD Converter.
If Videos are big better solution is take off MicroSD and copy them with a CardReader.

Apart from this thread having 0 to do with ROM Development, how would using a card reader be any different from using the HD in USB mode? The mem card I use is class 4 and gives me a transfer rate of between 1-5Mbps the HD is a card reader, supports (SD 2.0 compatible) and USB 2.0 therefore it will pretty much use full transfer rates of any compatible SDHC cards.
mmm
Screw that stuff mate above, get yourself a copy of CorePlayer from somewhere. You don't have to convert anything, just copy the TV shows or movies you get off the internet to your memory card on your phone and it plays them straight off with no converting.
if you want maximum quality (ie dvd rips, blue ray rips, hd broadcasting rips, etc), go for this app: Mp4ForHD.
it converts almost any audio/video file to mp4, which is the best handled for touch hd. you want subtitles? it also hard code subtitle files perfectly.
this is my post describing my first experience with it.
for maximum performance in reproducing the video file, it may sound weird, but use the built in WMP or the 'album player'. by now, these are the media players that can use better the video capabilities (video acceleration is still not fully supported on touch hd by coreplayer or any other 3rd party app).
and you can also install neos2007 driverpack 3. its topic is posted in the touch hd rom section. they can take some extra juice when it comes to video performance.
simply the best video converter for the blackstone

any .flv file video (ie., youtube) you've downloaded convert them first to a .wmv file, then use this program! THANKS TO Projection
MOD EDIT
Move to General Discussion as not related to rom development
This is classed as warez, as you are not paying for the movies you watch and download its piracy, if the mods see this thread you'll get in trouble lol

thanks for that but same thing happened as with videora, it says "the file may be copied for storage or transport use only. it is not supported for use on the device". i converted it to mp4. think it might be to do with the video file itself i`m converting, its off a torrent. also when playing it through windows media player on my computer it says: "the selected file has an extension (.mp4) that is not recognised by windows media player, do you want to try anyway" an when playing the file the sound is there but no picture. do you need codecs for mobiles??? because when 1st playing the original file on my computer before converting it for my phone, same thing happened and i had to download codecs to watch it.
anyway thanks for your reply

Videora (TD2 Version) works perfectly for me...
Can you play back the original file on your PC?
And the converted one?
TCMP
Tcmp is your solution !
If you do a little search of this forum you may find a version of tcmp supporting the srt files.
With tcmp, you don't need to convert your avi files. It run pretty well in full screen with 700 mb divx files on my topaz.
use pocketdivxenc
Hi everyone,
I use this http://www.pocketdivxencoder.net/EN_index.htm on my topaz and it's incredible....try it.
I use Beta version 0.4.5 and the templates tool, and i saw on my topaz Terminator Salvation, District 9 & Start Trek without problem on CorePlayer .
I hope it works for u
sorry for my english !!!

thanks for this, will the files play on windows media player on my phone when i`v used this or do i need a different player?
Usually Divx/Xvid..files for PC have an exagerated bitrate for PPC use, that is why it is wise to convert them.
Here's my technique:
1) convert original divx/xvid file with HTC Touch HD Video Converter, available here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=467112
2) Copy resulting .mp4 file to SD
3) Play with HTC Album
Note: Coreplayer can play this file aswell, but I think that htc album playback is smoother.
Unfortunately HTC Touch HD Video Converter doesn't rip dvd, can anyone suggest some all-in-one application to easily make divx?
Hi All,
I'm still having trouble playing .flv files in TCPMP. I've installed both TCPMP_netDrg_v2.cab and TCPMP-0.72RC1-GF5500Edition-Alpha4.1.CAB and while I can play other formats fine, I can't play .flv files. The version I downloaded for my Samsung Epix supported flash, but that was a while back and I don't have the cab file for that specific build.
Do I need to install a specific plugin? I've tried to comb some of the TCPMP threads, but those are pushing 100 pages. Any kind members willing to throw me a bone and help me out?
Thanks!
Anyone have a suggestion? I thought flv support was built into TCPMP. Do I need a plugin?
we're in the same boat, please needs good Samaritan here...thanks
