BIG problem!

Hi!
Im new here in the HTC forum and I really love all the upgradings you can do with the Elf. But I've now bumped into a big problem.
I first fallowed all the steps about how to flash 6.1 roms on the phone. It worked great but because of the lack of special letter (for my country) I wanted to flash back to the original rom that I dumped. I used the used the ROM update utility to flash it back and it worked. But when the phone reboots it just shows the smart mobility screen for some seconds and then shuts off, so I started to think that I've bricked the phone. So I read all the recovery threads and tested the methods without success... I try to flash to different roms but still get the same result; the smart mobility text and then it shuts off. What should I do? Is this a known problem?
And I just want to att that ut dosn't say "RUU" in the top right corner of my screen when I boot into the tri color bootloader. Is this maybe the problem?
Sorry if this is a repost but I've used the search function without success. Don't really know what to look for, need a hint.

i had a p3451 when i try to flash the original radio rom from comcel colombia
the same thing happen to me ...so i flash a 03.39.90 radio rom and fix the problem and works perfectly...but i need to install the original rom again

HTC Unable to type the code at unlock screen

Hey guys, I just recently got this little guy out of a trade, the guy made sure I knew it was a locked phone. Well, I'm now trying to unlock it and I even got the code to do so, but I am unable to enter it as I get the following message: "You have tried 8 times. Please wait for retry" and it never lets me enter the code, is there any way around this?

Yes, I just got this problem about 3 weeks back.
Its a HTC issue.
The only way to do this is a hard reset.

Hello, I appreciate your reply. And I have tried to hard reset the device twice but the same message comes up and it does not allow me to type anything, I have waited a whole day already and nothing.
I even tried replacing rilgsm.dll and deleting both 'SimLock.exe', but it does not allow me to do so (I tried using Total Commander, Resco Explorer and on windows, access denied on all of them).
Is there a work around?

Damn, so apparently there's no fixing this huh?
I'm going to take it to this store tomorrow, they told me they'd unlock it for 100 bucks, really wish I could have done it for free though.

Alright, the last way out is to flash em!
But before you start flashing a ROM at the elf-upgrading section.
Make sure you upgrade your IPL/SPL to 3.10 (The best recommended Version)

After finshing all those flashing to IPL/SPL 3.10.
I recommend a good ROM like Onyx 4.6 Ultimate.
Flash it to your phone and start using it.

i did my best to increase the network signal but invain
i flashed six radio version also invain
the net work always searching, after some times end with strong signal
then weak signal an come back to searching
BY the way my battery is about to die SO is the battery has
something to do with the signal

There must be some influence with the battery, if you go to settings/connections/wireless lan you find a tab for power mode so maybe a battery change will help. I would also advise you to flash a new rom just in case someone tampered with network config. Don't forget to check if it's not a router or modem problem ...

So your cid is hspl, you can flash another rom, try onyx which is very stable and reliable and see if it's not a rom's problem.

You can find at
Start ----> Settings ----> System ----> Device Information
At first tab (Version) you can see Radio version.

[Q] T-Mobile MDA Touch Firmware problem

Hey guys,
i have a big problem,
my t-mobile mda touch (htc touch) (elfin 256/128) is stuck at the operator logo, i have tried the CID unlock and the software says all OK, i have tried to flash a new rom ... error!
10 hours later i know this:
my htc elfin is not unlocked (cid) , i have forgot to save my original firmware,
i have found a firmware with same device id and cid id but its says errorcode 270 ^^
the bootloader is OK with spl 2.26 and ipl 1.17.0002 and mtty connection is possible.
now my question is: can i save my elfin only with the "goldcard" method or i have now a BIG problem?
i dont know now what i can do, im tired, i sit 12 hours with google and forum search and my elfin is bricked...
help pls

What exactly did you do to end up stuck at bootscreen?
Was this the result of trying to CID-unlock?

Which rom did you use?

Given the fact that you have an Elfin and your IPL is 1.71.0002, my guess is that you flashed a rom meant for the Elf(128/64).

i think ur phone is not cid unlocked try hardspl3.10 and ipl 3.10 again.
After that try to flash with onyx 6.14 rom
I think your phone will come alive,because my phone also hav the same problem when i unlocked the different spl and ipl.

Are you able to boot into windows (on your pda)?
YES
Then you can use SoftSPL (aka "white screen method") to flash a HardSPL (or a USPL) in order to CID-Unlock your pda.
NO
Then you CAN NOT use SoftSPL (aka "white screen method") to flash a HardSPL (or a USPL) in order to CID-Unlock your pda.
Is there any other solution?
Flash an Official Shipped ROM with CID & MID that match your pda's
Flash the "Unbricker rom"(try both via usb and from sd-card)
Use the "GoldCard" method (which requires an Official Shipped ROM with MID that matches your pda's)

3. i dont find a shipped rom with my cid and mid .... when you have one for me, post the link please!
4. with the unbricker rom per usb i get the message error 270 (see post 6)
and flash with sd-card .. no error .. no flash .. i see the bootloader (i tried 2 micro sd cards)
5. goldcard method (see post 4) i dont have the hardware here and nobody has a windows or android pone ^^

i need for the goldcard exactly my original rom? i have think i can use any rom with this method ... damn it

so now i have it ... i have read the sd card cid with my gps device ... that run on win ce ...
then i have great a goldcard image and then i used the o2 rom update and now its fully functional

Issue with my HTC Touch P3450 in Lock screen

Hi Guys,
I have this issue with my Touch P3450...while entering password for unlocking the phone...it automatically backspaces evey digit i enter to unlock the phone...due to which i am unable to use it...any body facing the same issue and any soutions for the same...have tried removing all the hardware keys to check if any thing wrong with hardware...but the same issue...have been using the phone frm last 2 yrs without any issues.... Any solutions...

Very strange, try mobiler to input from desktop... But maybe it won't connect in locked mode.

Sounds like your digitizer may be damaged to me. Try my mobiler as suggested above. But I think he it right, it may not work when locked.

i need help on HTC-3450
i have download onyx 6.0 very and try to install it. every time it just goes to 2% and then stop n says image maybe corrupted. check your update rom utility.
even from this forum i have downloaded cid patch, and hardspl still when i go to update same error comes,
so if plz can some one guide me step by step what i should really do to update this rom on my htc p-3450 n i have brought this from uae so i dnt think its sim lock or something but plz do guide me as soon thx in advance

If you tried to flash rom before you unlocked the cid, then you are in trouble. Does your device boot normally? If yes use this tool http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=418892 to let us know more about it.

CID is unlocked and am using a custom rom...will sure check the link and give it a try....thanks for the info....

ok like you gave the link i followed that link, with that i got my device info, after that now what i have to do, like you said i have to unlock my cid , in that no file is include like cid unlock or something, or do i have to run that onyx 6.0 directly

I asked you to post info so we can tell you what to do next... And obviously you're Cid locked, trying to install rom can brick your device! Can you boot normally? if not your only option is to find your original stock rom .

n other info which i got from that device info file i posted in the earlier post, yes my phone is still booting in normal mode, it just that when i try to install the onyx it gives me error of image corrupt n then it reboot n start in normal window. thx for guiding me

just one question is that i download this ELF_USPL_1.17.0000 ver as u give me the link. there are few others ver also, so which u prefer i used this one first n then in future i can upgrade others.
and one another question is that before running this patch of uspl does i have to put onyx 6.0 in the same folder of this uspl or first i have to install this verson only n it has its customer rom

I think you should read at least 10 pages so you feel comfortable with uspl procedure, last time I did it was 2 years ago... After you get 2.28 or 3.10 you can flash hspl and only then flash onyx.

hi tito bro thanks for your guide lines i really appreciate for ur all the help you have given me, yeaterday first i install the uspl 1.17.0000 n then it went to update rom utility itself n then i could see it was showing version spl 1.17.0001 something n ipl 1.17.0002. then i see it reboot n went like the windows i had same one. then i flash the onyx n it took n install it completely. but i still want to know that can i still update to like 2.28 spl buz i have read ur comment n then i went to few pages of those n i see that most are saying to use 2.26 n then update to 2.28 spl n 2.26 ipl to get better speed and to have fast application run, so now can i do that spl 2.28 n ipl 2.26 update ?
and after i do that update does i have to flash onyx 6.0 again ?

You are running too fast mate, you have to get higher SPL then upgrade to corresponding Hspl and only then install Onyx. Read the FAQ in Onyx thread!
Ps: you can directly upgrade to 2.28 SPL

well as u said i upgrade the spl to 2.28 but i dnt know still ipl is showing 1.17.0002 only, does that i have to install in another way, buz last time when i install spl 1.17.000 after update i see the ipl was showing 1.17.0002 but now when i update it to 2.28 spl. still ipl is showing the older ver only n not showing 2.27, or does its like i have to copy that .nbh file to that rom utility n replace with the one inside have n then update it?
n another problem is that b4 doing spl first time i forgot to take the backup of my original rom, so now i am afraid that if i do anything wrong maybe phone will stop completely working.

When using ruu make sure there's only one nbh, and as for backup, well it's too late to worry, think positive

as i dint had back i dint took risk of formating n start to install all from first, so i am just doing updating as u guiding, so now as the ipl & spl is update, what step i have to do, pls let me know. so i will go n read n then take ur more guide lines to move ahead
