Yup very poor, I found a spelling mistake in the new offical HTC 1.48 ROM..
As there is no default "text message sent" sound/notification, as you know, you have to enable delivery reports to get any kind of visual or audible notification that you have successfully sent a text message. Well at least I have to on a HTC unlocked/unbranded version of the phone.
Well on the new 1.48 ROM with this enabled, you get a nice message that says
"The test message you sent to xxxxx xxxx (insert name here) has been delivered."
obviously it should read "The text message" and not "The test message"
Anyone else noticed this yet ? Anyone know where this is located so I can patch it myself ? Tried a reg search with no luck so I am guess its in one of the manilla's ?

Yes the actual delivery report reads correctly if you read it as a message, but it reads incorrecty for me when you read the little pop up notification thingy that happends when the delivery report arrives.

I am on ROM 1.43.488.1 and I get the same spelling error. Shame.
Yes, confirmed now. It only shows on the popup window. Only if you enable 'Display message on Screen' for incoming text messages.

I've tried downloading a couple of different cabs for the EnlargeStartMenu but none of them seems to work.
One of them did show an icon at settings but no text underneath and clicking it didn't work.
I noticed itje's ROM has one included so I geuss there's a working one out there.. somewhere..

what language are you using? if wwe just search and you shall find
ive tried many, but only the one in my language works correctly.
I've got a Dutch X1. However, when using the WWE version can't you alter some of the files on your phone (change 409 to 413 in my case, if I remember correctly)

correct, but i recomend you ask any dutch xda member to post the enlargestartmeny.dll and copy to windows (if your running dutch ROM)
otherwise it should work out of the box so to speak, if your running wwe ROM.
are you running anything else that could interfere with the startmeny, like xxxxxmeny or anything?

This cab works, however, it shows "Settings" and "Programs" in both my own language and english and clicking the english one wont work, so its basicly 2 wasted icons.
Have the same problem with the blackstone startmenu, and nobody has an idea what to do with it. I think you´ll have to look for a cab from a rom in language you have.

as i said download the enlargestartmeny.dll in YOUR (ROMS) language and the problem will dissappear!

Just updated to the most recent firmware update from Vodafone. Just wondering, how can I turn off this really annoying SMS sent notification? I've tried turning it off using the options in Messages but I'm still getting them.

I will tell you how it works on my phone,you can try ,lets see if it works on yours,if you havent tried it yet:
Settings>menu>All settings>Sound&Notifications>Notifications(Tab On the bottom)>Event>drop down menu find the SMS sent Success and uncheck the box.
thanks... but that just turns the sound off for that event. I want it to not event at all like it used to. I don't need to know if a message has been sent successfully, i need to know when it doesn't.

I've tried several CAB's that do this and even entered the "DisableSMSSuccess" DWORD:1 values manually and restarted the phone several times and the messages are STILL coming up, it's driving my boss nuts, It's not my phone as I have a custom ROM on mine, but my boss has the HD2 as well and refuses to use custom unofficial ROM's.
Is there anything else that controls this?

What version of the ROM is it? 3.14? That reg entry works on the HD2 as far back as ROM version: 2.13. If he is sending MMS msgs there is another entry:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Jataayu\Messaging]
"DisableSMSSuccess"=dword:00000001
"DisableMMSSuccess"=dword:00000001
(Taken Directly from the Reg file of HTC Messaging Client V1.8.2019.3733 Stock)
CAB: the graf disable sms... something like that is it called worked for me on newest Rom.

I don't have such entries of Jataayu (my ROM is official from HTC site) then how can I disable it???
I have also installed mixtapeking patch, it does not works as well
Just wondering..is there a rom that fixes the sms lag function yet??

-place .mui in \windows (replace if ask)
You can found a sent notif of if you need!
If by SMS Lag you mean the delay in loading the SMS on to the screen when you want to reply, then the latest rom for T-mobile users no longer has this issue.
I have noticed that the save contact option is not working in 23135, and I think it was the same on 23134 but I just noticed it.
I'm using pyrorobs latest package but I suspect this has to do with the WM messaging right? I'm using Sense 2.5 20183025 but people package from 2016.
Anyone can help?

Not only this package, as I had to find out by myself!
The "save bug" is also related to which 'Contact Picker', 'Contacts Enhancement' and 'Contact Utility Engine' packages you're using! After using the packages that came right away with the 'New Contact Card' package I was able to change and save contacts again!
Is contact saving for you not working at all or only from certain menus? e.g. after call adding new contact?

Sorry, yes I got mine working by reverting to a older New Contact Card Package.
I just forgot to update the title of the thread.
PS. So are you saying if you use all the new oboe packages you are able to use the new contact card package and save?

I don't really have Samsung devices are you running a custom rom? and have you tried basics deleting the app rebooting phone and reinstalling? and have you looked at the location settings in the facebook app it's self? and does your location settings work on anything else like twitter or google maps or anything else at all?
