is it just me or does this not work so good with the new ROM? whenever I install this, I get some HTC icons double in the start menu?
anybody has an idea what is causing this and whether we can fix it quickly?

yeah... same here... there is some compatibility issues
You can hide the duplicate icons; just use Total Commander - locate the icons you want to hide. Under properties of the icon - tick all features. Soft reset and you'll not see the duplicate icons anymore

yes there is i have included it as attachment download it and then copy it to \Windows\startup folder this if u want that it should start automatically after a softreset if u don't want that then just copy it to Program folders and execute it from there thie soft key will disappear but reappear if u open file explorer or any other prograam but it will disappear once u are in today secreen !!!

I used the dcinobar and really like it. I would like to get rid of the system tray as well, but do not want to use kaiser tweak to do so. when i used that i killed me twice!. Is there any other way to do that?

U can use PHM traylaunch there u can see all the icons that are in traylaunch u can delete or all of them and tray will disappear or u can also try the tray display cab it is a prograam that will ask to display tray or NOT !! feel free to try try first PHM tray display and then the cab see which one is the best.

Both noDciBar and PMC TodayShrink aren't working... They'll work when they want and start when they want. Are there any others?

Yea this! I've tried Dci, PMC Today Shrink and nueNoBar(Nue worked for a few days then stopped) anybody got any idea's? I just want the bottom row gone only on the today screen, other apps are okay to show the bottom keys.

I would like this also. I keep hitting it by accident.
and when you try to see the appointments i just go to the clock properties... i just want to disable that action, is it posible via manila editing?? or its a deeper fix?

Yes it can, I changed the action to startup tomtom, but that is also annoying because you keep hitting it accidentaly...

This drives my crazy: After rotating the screen with gyrator, gsen or manual-button, the HD switches back to manila or any other last used system window.
(There are some posts inside some big threads wich nobody replied, so I start a new one for this bug only...)
This is VERY annoying if you just want to turn the screen for reading or writing a mail...
i dont know if this is the right method to do it.. but
try adding all types of exceptions to the list in gsen window/class etc of your messaging window!
i came across the same problem and this seem to fix it!
try it and let me know if it worked!
what have you added? manila is already added...
sometimes the bug disappears...I added the exeptions, but have to wait some times to see if the effect lasts...But thanks!

im not talking about manilla.. open the window you wish you dont want to rotate.. then hit the home button on your phone. then go to gsen configuration and add all the windows/classes/process of that application!
that should stop the minimizing of that window when rotated.. hopefully!
if someone has a better solution let us know!

yes, same effect + too buggy
It's top bar's icons related problem.
If you uninstall them you should not have that issue.
As described in another thread. This may be caused by colorful icons/battery icon in top bar.

If you look around, there is atleast two color top bars that do not have this problem. The problem originated from one of the first color top bars (which everyone liked and used), but now just look around and try them till u find one that u like and doesn't have the bug. (i'd give u mine but i can't find the cab for either one) good luck

the weather and the calender changed but the others did not music, internet search, settings, people,home
What program are you using to change the icons?
I have been using cfc-gui to change my icons and they are grouped together depending on what they are (i.e. - tray, hero, people screen, weather screen, etc.).
Are you trying to change your "tray" and "hero" icons or icons within each tab?

Click the Start button in the upper left hand corner.
Start>Settings>System>Remove Programs
Select a program and click "Remove" in the bottom right hand of the screen.
sorry for the missunderstanding i knwhow to remove programs i want to change the icons but i dont know why only some changed and would like all of them changed
It depends on the cabs. Some people change all of them and some only change some. For instance, my cab that I have installed doesn't change the photo, music, or AT&T tabs because I didn't include them in the changes.

You need to edit a manila file for that.

No way he can do that
Reason he intalled diferent themes on top of others so soon he uninstalles one wen he gos for the next on there will be an error cause windows will not find a second backup of the original.
Sorry to tell you but you need to hard reset your device.
for anyone trying to modify there manila icons.
Use CFC Gui.
Intructions easy way.
Connect you phone on Sync to you device start CFC GUI should be a options to extract all manila files from you phone.
After that you will see all kind of images change the one you want then send it to you phone from CFC GUI more instruction on CFC Gui threat.

So it won't just uninstall what it can "find" and not worry about what it doesn't?
Also, when unintalling a program/theme, how does it know what to revert back to? Are the original files not overwritten/deleted?
hi guys new to this as had iphone previously when i go to my settings screen im getting the calendar, people, & music icons twice even if i delete the additional shortcuts it just re writes them? any ideas how i can stop this? also my navi panel has lost it's icon and i just a generic white & blue folder icon now. What programs have you installed? Did you do any tweaking? Did you flash a new ROM? If you could give more information about your phone and when the problem first occurred it would be easier for the experts on the forum to diagnose the situation.
Did you try doing a soft reset yet?
flashed to 1.48wwe and have duttys task manager and the official sim contacts upgrade but that was put on after the ROM upgrade. the additional icons are just plain blue & white with the names underneath, but even when i delete the additional shortcuts they re appear!
Get this from the cabs link in my signature...
Touch X Permanently Delete Reappearing HTC Icons.cab
Install that and then use file explorer (or similar app) and go to \Windows\Start Menu\Programs. You will see the shortcuts in there - just delete them and they won't come back.
