Shortcut to disable sound

Hi,i'm trying to set up my kjam for one hand use,as most as possible. Now i can disable radio using app from here http://forum.xda-developers.com/viewtopic.php?t=30679 ,but i desire so much a shortcut that allow me to set the system volume to 0.I know well that i can activate vibration pressing the comm button, but i'd like a mode to get no vibration and no sound at all. Thanks for the help.
Volume slide button on side of phone will do this if you keep sliding it down
Thank you!So simple...

Prevent "answer" button from dialling

The Take-Call/Answer button appears to haveseveral functions:
It switches to the phone app (Good)
It answers an incoming call (good as prevents having to use the slide)
It dials the last number in the Calls list display (bad)
I keep finding that I double-press the button by mistake and end up dialling someone without intending to do so.
Is there any registry hack that can eliminate this last function. I have tried using Mobile Magic to assign the key to "switch to phone app" but then I can't use it to answer an incoming call which is a bit of a pain.
Or do I need to find an alternative dialler?
personally I find that disabling the green button from answering calls is a good thing - it means that you don't accidentally press it when taking it out of your pocket for example! you could try AE Button Plus and set long press of the green button to "press green button" and short press to "launch program" -> "phone" that way if you accidentally double-pressed the green button it wouldn't call the person, but would still load the phone dialer and could still be used to answer calls, just holding buttn instead of pressing...
Closest solution I can think of...
Sounded promising - thank you. Unfortunately I can't get a long keypress to generate an "green button press". I have decativated the usual long-keypress action but still no joy.
I even tried implementing a "double keypress" for answer but it only works sporadically.
Slider for Calling?
The Take-Call/Answer button appears to haveseveral functions:
* It switches to the phone app (Good)
* It answers an incoming call (good as prevents having to use the slide)
* It dials the last number in the Calls list display (bad)

after my touch hd didn't make an international phone call of several minutes today from my pocket, I didn't realize how right were your words.
So, I unbinded the Green Phone Button with AEB Plus and I reassign "Key 1 (Press)" to act as Green Phone Button. From now only pressing for a while the talk/send button will actually call the dialer.
However, the most gentle touch on a contact in the default dialer will make a call... which most of the times really annoys. What would be really cool and solve many problems is to use a slider for making the phone call (not only for answering). I searched conscientiously in the forum and I found no solution.
An alternative solution would be to use other contact manager, like Yota Contacts, for example. But, having a slider for making a call would be so cool

no keypad during call

On my HD, there is no 'show keypad' button during calls. This way, i can't dial numbers to send DTMF tones.
I think it's because I got a branded HD and Vodafone forgot to put in the option.
Is there a hack to get this button back?
Just press the keyboard button on the screen.....
There is no keyboard button on the screen.
I've got 6 small buttons:
Put on hold, second call, make note, mute, speaker & contacts
And a big red button that says 'end call'.
How about the left softkey?

That puts the call on hold.
Interesting....have you installed any custom ROM, dialer software etc.?
Never mind. The dutch translation used for 'show keypad' was confusing, I thought it said 'lock keypad'.
Thanks.

Disable mute ring button

Is there any way to disable mute ring button on incoming call screen?
(I’ve tried s2u2, pocketshield, touchLockPro but none of them works correctly with HTC phone skin)
I am using official WM6.5 release.
Thanks!
You mean the volume hardware keys to mute or the on-screen Mute button?
I mean SW button (under Answer / Ignore slider).
I have never seen any HTC dialer with that button disabled. The only that comes to mind is use the incoming call protecting screen that Pocketshield has, it will prevent the mute button from being touched or pressed.

"Mute Ring" not working - possible fix

The "Mute Ring" soft button on the incoming call screen was not working on my HD2.
It turned out to be that I was using PocketShield and had the "Block Hardware keys" enabled on the "Incoming Call" section of the "Phone" tab. Disabling this feature allowed the "Mute Ring" button to work.
Just though to mention this if anyone else is having this problem and are also using PocketShield.
It is because the Mute command on the HTC dialer is tied to a hardkey press event (volume key, it shouldn't but it is). So if you tell PS to block volume keys on incoming call those events will be blocked, the HTC Mute button will not make any effect.

So there is no way to block the "Send" button from answering a call AND allow the "Mute" button to work?
Sure, at PocketShield Settings > Phone > Block hardware keys > +
any update?
