Dwang ROM only detecting 32 swap instead of 96mb..why? - myTouch 3G, Magic General

Im running Dwang's 1.13 ROM and i just noticed that when i run the "free" cmd in terminal, it says my swap is only 32mb but i partitioned it at 96mb. i disabled compcache and ccbackswapping. this is the only rom that has this problem. i tried cyanogen and 2.0 and modified my user.conf file just fine and it worked but only with dwang's ROM. it wont detect it. any clue?

[Q] Slab corrupted. Single bit error. Run memory test tool

SD Android stopped working on my HD2
It doesn`t boot.
I tried different SD Androids. None of them works except RAM versions, for example, SuperRam works ok.
I recieve errors
"Slab corruption: size-256 start=..."
"Slab corruption: size-256 start=... len=..."
"Single bit error detected. Probably bad ram. Run a memory test tool"
If there is no cmd output during the start, it shows logo or video, then reboots.
Tried 1.66 + HSPL 2.08 + MAGLDR
Same results
I tried differend SD cards, formatted it, doesnt help.
My configuration is 1.66 + HSPL 2.08
Please help me out! Cant find any help for couple of month.
Still need help. Any advice?
All I can suggest is downloading the build again just in case one or more of the files is corrupted. Keep your existing data.img though.
If that doesn't work, I'd reflash the WinMo ROM and Radio and then trying a clean install of the SD build.

Since september I`ve tryed different builds from this site.

FroyoStone_Sens_v2.7
DL.DesireZ.v2.1.SD
mattc Leo + Froyo w Sense
mccm_v1.5
Mdeejay_Froyo_Sens_v.2.3_Clean
HyperDroidV1.6
Reflashed WinMo (1.66, 3.14), Radio (2.12, 2.15), formatted SD card(FAT32 32kb sector), tryed different SD cards(2gb, 2gb, 16gb) several times.
RAM builds are working.
SD builds arnt working.
How can I take a look at console output of android boot?
There is no text output on latest builds, only splash screen or short movie.
Still need help. Any advice?
In startup.txt
changed
set cmdline "rel_path=Android"
to
set cmdline "rel_path=Android loop_partition=mmcblk0"
Works.
Solved.

[Q] A2SD on Frankinstine Droid 1.5 NAND Rom

Hi all,
I'm quite new to this flashing thing on the hd2, and I successfully flashed my first rom yesterday using Frankinstine's 1.5 Rom after browsing through many threads about MAGLDR and radios.. its tiring.
But anyway, the rom states that a2sd is installed together with the rom. Also, I partitioned my sd card according to this thread below:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=916464&highlight=partition
However, even after partitioning my sd card, somehow when I run the Terminal Emulator and enter "su" --> "a2sd check", a message shows that my card may not be partitioned to ext3, even though i already did it in the step above.
Anyone knows where i went wrong, or any suggestions?
Thanks in advance!

Please point me in the right direction?

i no you must get this asked all the time. i am sorry to bother about this. Im a little confused. Im trying to install andriod 2.3.4 gingerbread on my hd2.
i am following the steps from americanandroids thread on how to install.
my radio code is 2.15.50.14
rom version 3.14.405.2
So i believe i dont need to change them. loaded all android files onto hd2 clicked both files and it boots. HOWEVER the problem is when it runs the script ( the white wrighting) it only rights 4ish lines then the htc logo appears and nothing happens. left it for 2 hour, tried this 4 times.
The only thing i can think of is i havent formatted my sd card. Please somoeone help me out??
thank you very much
Is there a clrcad.exe to run before haret?
If it stucks on the screen running codes, can you read at what line it has stuck?
And as you said, try formatting your SD card.
First thing, format the sd card, usually that will sort the problem.
If not, try and download the files again and/or try another rom, if the problem still persists, then most probably your winmo rom is not able to load android, get a custom winmo rom from here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=980. make a backup of your current rom > task29 > install custom rom > format sd card (again) > move files to sd > clrcad + haret. Hope this will sort your problem, otherwise go NAND
im assuming you have hspl installed, right?

yes there is im unsure on the code, and ill try it thank you
Hspl its not actually needed to load SD roms, but as I said before, some original roms wont allow you to boot android from SD, therefore you'll need a custom rom, but you can't install custom rom without having hspl.
So, if after formatting your SD, you still can't boot android then install hspl, then install custom rom, copy files to SD, tap clrcad + haret

Need Help for AmericanAndroid NAND-Rom

I need help please
I turned from Android SD-Card to Android Nand, this rom:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1209474
I installed radio, hspl and magldr. then i installed the above rom. It is running very smooth. But my problem is, that i run out of internal memory. Even by using app2sd. Onle 27 mb left from ober 220mb. Don´t know why. Any Idea?
Did I forget something? Should i had to swipe something before installing rom or is the ACA Rom just that big?

try doing a task 29, then re install magldr and cwm.
Now before restoring any apps or settings, check how much ram you have.
If it is over 250, it is normal..
Widgets uses a lot of ram...
After doing a clean install, and installing hyperdroid rom without restoring any apps, I have about 300 mb of free ram left.

What is your partition size? If it is too small then you will have very little room left after you install the ROM

I have an european HD2, i thing rhe partition size is only 512 MB.
Before installing I HAVEN´T done a task29.I thougt by istalling magldr windows mobile 6.5 was completely swiped from teh rom. Isn´t it that way? Are there windows files somewhere in the "background"???
There shouldn't be but I suggest running a task29 which actually wipes WM6.5 off of the phone then flashing magldr
OK, I have done a Task29. And use another Rom. Now I have 150MB free space. That´s it.
Thanks to you guys!

[Q] Problems in ICS Beta 7 build 14 (SD) and Wind 7.5 Mango (Nand) dual boot

Hello Great minds here,
Device HTC HD 2 / 16 GB (Transcend SD Class4) with two partitions 7.4 for Win and balance loaded with ICS at root.
I installed windows 7.5 SP 1 Mango (Yuki) working great - Tons and loads of thanks to Yuki (team).
I installed ICS Beta 7 Build 14 working great with almost all features looked in so far. thanks and applaud to Ankuch. Many thanks for such work. Installed as per the tutorials for dual boot. However, I face the following issues:
1. In settings option of ICS total internal storage reported only .96 GB. On using ES Explorer error reported no SD card mounted. SD card formatted with , FAT 32 as primary partition , unused 6.17 GB. For win it is logical partition.
2. At no point of time did I run Haret.exe or ClrCad.
3. Reports no USB storage, this is as advised by ROM Chef.
4. Is there any application which gives an option to boot into ICS or WIN as startup. Tried exceller Boot loader but the thread notified that it is for adndroid / ubuntu, so did not load. Pls advise if there is any application.
5. If I boot into win 7.5 and then switch off to boot into ICS, the booting fails. Reason I noticed that win 7.5 locks the SD. Then reboot into win 7.5, unlock the SD and then boot into ICS thru Magldr. Kindly advise whether this is correct or I have done some installation error.
Thank you in advance for the amazing knowledge and ideas you people.
Thanks a ton.

1.Is the partition set to primary??
4.u r using maglrd right?? Not sure about that but after unlocking SD u can choose from maglrd menu
5. Yup that's correct
Sent from my HTC HD2 using xda premium
Yes the partition is set to Primary for FAT 32 and for windows it is logical.
could there be an issue that since ICS is loaded on the SD, Sd is not recognised. On starting file explorer it reports SD not mounted.
Got boot loader called excellor boot loader but is for windows 6.5. Unable to locate one for windows 7.5
Yes can boot in from Magdlr.
Thank you for the support.

can u make sure that you did it correctly by following this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N-cUdB4_5f4
Saw the video today. No I don't think I did everything correct.
Trying to re do everything once again and then get back to you.
Thanks.
Ok now the first problem crops up. I haveof one partition flashed SP1 of Windows 7.5 (Yuki Rom). Then reset the phone as shown in the video, however, when I check the memory card in the manner suggested in the EASEAUS Partition Manager the SD reads only 14.73 GB of only one partition there is no 200 MB FAT 16 partition. Tried doing resetting many times but the same prob.
Re installed everything but the problem remains the same. On starting ES File Explorer " SD crd not mounted or not present".....Kindly HELP
Hi,
I have an identical setup as you and coincidentally had the same problem as you.
I referred to this video tutorial http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=944288 and am now happily running Tango (Yup!!) on NAND and different versions of Android on SD.
Try it out and let me know if it works for you.
