Problems upgrading from CM 4.0.4 Please help - myTouch 3G, Magic General

MT3G
8 gb SD ext4
Tried to upgrade to CM 4.2.5, followed Cyanogen's Wiki, and keep getting stuck and the TMO "My Touch 3G" splash screen on reboot
I've successfully got 4.1.999 running and tried to upgrade from there to 4.2.5 and still get stuck at the splash screen. I've tried several time with the same same result.
Any idea's?

In recovery, I first flash update-cm-4.2.5-signed.zip, then flash the 32a kernel(CyanogenMod 4.2.4 EBI1 kernel for 32a/Rogers Dream)

Roms won't boot MT3G?? Help Please Lost :-(

Hello all,
Let me first preface this with a little story. I currently have a Merlot and a Black MT3G for wify. On my Merlot with still perfect spl and cyan recovery I am running MghtyMax 1.9.1 rom and it works great. She decided to use it on black one that is rooted same but running RA 1.2.2 recovery and rooted ra rom so figure no problem and having issues I can't get either MghtyMax or cyano 4.2.1 to boot on it just hangs on MT3G screen never getting to android/htc over 15 mins just hangs.
I took the mem card (16gb sandisk) 15.4 gb for fat32, 500 mb ext4, 128 mb linux swap fresh partitions. Installed mghtymax and was running good. When I power cycled the phone turning back on froze on MT3G screen. I tried to whipe it, pull battery whipe and flash again. Same result powered up and on reboot wouldn't power up again stuck on mt3g screen.
Figured maybe recover img so I flashed cyan 1.4 recovery what I have on mines, whiped, repartioned, battery pull whiped and installed. Still stuck on mt3g.
Maybe since is still "perfect" spl tried the 1.33.2005 engineering spl and reapeated above steps and no go.
Ok maybe I missed something. Flash back to stock with sappimg.nbh, used 1 click method to put on cyan 1.4, put on eng spl again, whiped, repartioned, push rom battery pull, whipe install still stuck. Ok maybe the rom on that phone different for what ever reason. Tried to whipe and install ADP base then Cyan 4.2.1 (which also works on my device) same issue. Never has a problem getting to either fastboot or recover console though. ended up putting back stock for now.
Any ideas on what I may be doing wrong? Same exact roms and setup that works on my merlot one don't work on a black one. Any help on this would be greatly appreciated as I am completely stumped by this.
I think i figured it out if anyone else has the problem. These are the stps I did to fix the problem.
Flashed back stock with nbh
recovery flasher to put on cyan 1.4
flashed eng spl (not needed)
whiped and battery pull
whiped and installed adp base from cyano thread LET IT BOOT to sign in.
installed cyano let it boot again
whipe battery pull
whipe install hero boot and good
I was having bluries so I had to do bluries fix but up and running

Stuck on mytouch3g green splash screen

My H.boot is 1.33.0006
Radio 2.22.12961
32A
First time having it, i rooted it and then install amon recovery
went to [Rom][32a][32b][3.22] CyanogenMod 5.0.8-t1 Stable/Fast 2.1 (06/03/2010) and downloaded the black theme and put it on and flashed. Now its stuck on mytouch3g , anyway to get it out?

I don't think so. Have you tried booting into recovery and wiping data or going back to a Nandroid backup?
Mod. edit: not dev related, moved to general

What color is the text in your recovery screen?
oRANGE i flashed it to 3.00005 or what ever
Stock, CM6 and all Froyo (Android 2.2) based ROMs are incompatibile with CWM 3.x. That can only be used with Gingerbread (Android 2.3) ROMS like CM7. Install CM7, and you'll be good to go.
Take a look at http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=944681 from TrueBlue_Drew. It's a way of switching between the various versions of CWM. But it won't be useful until you have a working phone.

If you installed CM 3.x then you need to flash Cyanogen CM7. You'll get a working phone. Don't forget the g/apps either.
i downloaded cm_glacier_full-32.zip and the gapps the phone boots past the splach screen than keeps going through the boot animation

thanks for supplying the exact version of the g/apps. Did you by chance check the md5sum? should match 45e175c25a498c8945c543d92d92e782
and are you installing the G/apps pre or post installing the ROM?
Oops I had the wrong gapps file its all good now bro thank you for your time and help I'm very grateful for people like you!! Thanks braa

[Q] flashed Nexus S Gingerbread 2.3.2 on HD2 stuck on boot screen

Help!! i got this HTC Hd2 on ebay a few months ago, it had dual boot on it for windows 6.5 and Froyo 2.2 Desire HD. when in android the phone alway thought i was in the UK. to make a long story short i wiped the phone and installed a NAND froyo 2.2 build. it worked ok but was very bland and boring. So i downloaded the MDJ Nexus S Gingerbread 2.3.2 rom and flashed it over what i already had, it rebooted and shows the new HD2 logo, hen goes into the boot animation for the nexus S rom and sits there and does the animation over and over again. i took the battery out and rebooted and let it sit overnight 6 hours later its still doing the animation loop, HELP! how do i get it to work, do i need to reflash the windows rom and start over or can i reflash the Nexus S Gingerbread 2.3.2 rom? Oh BTW im not useing the clockwork recovery im using the DAF install with the MAGLDR and my HSPL and radio are up to date.
ok reflashed it and it worked that time, told it to wipe and over write it and it worked that time any idea why it did that/?

CM7 boot loop (racks triple boot)

Nook color running Racks triple boot via micro SD card. Micro SD card is a Sandisk 8GB class 4 card.
Was previously running fine for many months with the 2/2/12 roms. I would run CM7 99% of the time and I would get a random reboot here and there, but otherwise very stable.
A couple days ago, I had a random crash and tried to reboot CM7. I could get passed the boot loader screen, but then would have a continuous boot loop with the blue android symbol.
Thinking something was corrupted with the rom, I booted to recovery and tried flashed the rom along with gapps. Still boot looping.
I booted to CM9, and was able to run. So I downloaded the latest CM7 and CM9 roms for Racks triple boot. Flashed both along with the gapps and CM9 fix. Apparently I got lucky and was able to boot into CM7.... once. Thinking everything was OK, I went on with my life and ran the new CM7 happily.
Now, a few days later, I've tried to reboot and I'm back at the same boot loop with the arrow spiraling around the a blue skateboarding android. Note, in that short time that I was running the newest Racks triple boot CM7 rom, I did not run a backup, so, I'm basically out of luck with recovery via CWM.
I've flashed the 2/2/12 rom as well as the latest rom to see if either would work again. nothing... still boot looping... for hours now.
Any suggestions other than wiping the SD clean and starting with a fresh install?
Thanks all.
~mike
Bump...
Been a bit, no responses yet. Anyone have any ideas?
Thanks,
~mike
I think the fresh install will help since you already tried partial reinstalling the roms.

Nook Color stuck in load screen
I have a nook with CM7 installed on it. was going return my nook to stock to give it to my little sister, but when i went to install the stock stuff back on it got stuck in a loop. It won't boot from an uSD card with clockwork on it and when I tried the 7 hard boot in a row trick, it didn't do anything. Did i really brick the thing? or can it be recovered?

You are in a recovery bootloop with no recovery installed. Go to my tips thread linked in my signature. Read item A8. You need to make and use my special bootable CWM SD (select the 'larger' image). Then if you want to return to stock, read item A15.
