Yes, just go to sound settings (windows and not HTC) and in the first screen you have the option to disable that.

Whenever I press the start button, and work with pulldown menus, there is loud annoying click which I am unable to switch off or lower its volume, because if I lower the volume, I will also lower the volume for the ringtone. I found the file which does the "click" but am unable to delete it. Any suggestions?
Goto Settings -> Sounds and Notifications -> Disable sounds for Events

This is obvious but not good. If I do this, there won't be any notifications for all of the events, like missed phone call, new text message etc.

Thank you, it worked. I installed mute files, and clicks disappeared!
Is there any way to disable the dialer sounds. I would think that by disabling them, it would increase the responsiveness.
I really hate the delay from when you press the number to when you actually hear it.

Go to Settings/Phone/Keypad and change to off.
duh! Thanks, I failed to try that.
The AT&T tilt doesn't have Settings/Phone/Keypad. Can I enable that in Kaiser tweak? I couldn't see it anywhere.
Hi,
I'm quite new to Android, having S5 running version 4.4.2 (KitKat) I'm struggling with the WhatsApp app notification. I set it to show pop up , it does work when screen is off it shows the message box with "Close" and "View" buttons.
The problem is when I press the "View" button, it takes me to the Lock Screen instead of WhatsApp (this is the case when the phone is locked, and I receive a message).
Is there a way to eliminate this behavior?
Hi,
Well, unless you disable lockscreen altogether you can't change this behavior.
Actually, it's more a security feature..

Yeah. As far as I know, it will always happen when your lockscreen is enable. There is no way that you can eliminate it.
Hi folks,
I am often disturbed by calls in games or other relevant moments. The caller always appears in the foreground as a full screen incoming call.
I've tried a lot and tried out the internal ways to control notifications. Without success.
How can I change this behaviour?
Greetings,
Christian

Install an apk of Google Dialer (none rooted) (or if your rooted with magisk install it through that) then open settings, search for "default" and find default apps section and set it as your default phone app. I find Google dialer better as I like the anti spam feature anyway and the notification won't pause your games (takes up top quarter of screen in either orientation)
Doesn't the game mode block notifications including phone calls for this purpose?

I believe that would also work, though Google dialer is good for not interrupting in general and if you want NO notification, then enable game mode
Thanks for your replies, guys.
Unfortunately the game-mode can't block incoming calls... No matter which app the call is coming from (whatsapp, Facebook, normal calls...)
I guess there is a solution if I would root my device.
Hello.
We have the function "Do Not Disturb", that silent phone calls. This function don't disable notifications sounds or camera shutter, like mutting the phone.
Is there a way to mute ALL sounds, including notifications and other sounds, in a programmable way like "do not disturb"?
I tried some apps like "Automate It" and "Droid Automation", but they don't work as expected.
Thanks in advice.
As you may have noticed, pressing the volume - key only carries you to vibration mode. To enable the mute, you have to open the quick settings pane and click on the speaker icon. It will alternate between sound, vibration and mute. The only volume it doesn't mute is the alarm sound, but it is understandable.

Yeah, I know that, but I wanna a way to do this in a programmable way, like we can do with "do not disturb". This function is activated in a configurable hour and duration, but it don't disable notification sounds!

The only thing you can do is to mute the phone during a certain time. I don't know if in Do not disturb settings you can silence notifications, maybe in the Allow exceptions menu. But I'm not sure, I've never used that feature

I don't know any way to do that, hopefully with Android O update they improve Do not disturb
My phone has no camera shutter sound when it's on vibrate mode and silent mode. No notification sound unless I enable the sound mode.
